We celebrated a friend's birthday at Amaro's Table and it was truly one of those perfect evenings from start to finish. The moment we walked in, the staff made our friend feel genuinely special -- multiple employees stopped by throughout the night to wish her a happy birthday, and there was even a handwritten card waiting for her. Those little touches meant so much. We were seated at a beautiful table surrounded by windows with a chandelier overhead. It felt tucked away and intimate, which made the whole evening feel even more special. The food was outstanding. Our party ordered the pork chops, salmon, Caesar salad, and Chicken Marsala -- everything was cooked perfectly. The drinks were fantastic as well. It's the kind of menu where you can't go wrong no matter what you choose. Our server Grace was the real standout of the evening. She was warm, genuine, and went above and beyond all night. Chandeliers, soothing green walls, gold accents, inviting textiles (throughout), a bar ensconced in a bright white background and different seating options. I'm so grateful this spot opened up down the street from us! I've been to the Salmon Creek location for work - but having this so close is clutch. Decor - on point! I wish they had more booths as the tables in the middle are close together and not the ideal date seating. The server was super accommodating in moving us to an open booth. My husband is a police officer and definitely not the kind of conversations you want others to hear. We ordered the pretzel fondue off the happy hour menu - yum! We had the Cadillac Margarita and Old Fashioned. My husband had the steak sandwich and chips and said it was delicious. I am a SUCKER for a beet salad. Mhmmm the beet salad and salmon was delicious! We had no idea what we were walking into. We just knew a new restaurant went in where the HUB use to be. Little did we know we were walking into the restaurant of my dreams. It had a really fun cocktail menu and we tried 3, all of which were creative, unusual and delicious The menu looked like it was created by top chef or MKR chefs. So many epic choices. I chose the Crab Ravioli with lobster sauce and pistachio gremelata, it tasted as heavenly as it sounded. My husband had their famous fried chicken and mashed potato plate. There is a reason for it to be infamous! Flavorsome sweet yet savory honey sauce for dipping. Yes we started with the seared ahi tuna and crostini appetizer that could have been a meal itself. And yes we were beyond full, but you cannot leave without trying their ricotta doughnuts with caramel sauce. They come piping hot fresh from the fryer and are an experience not to be missed! We are in the bar with a beautiful Chrystal chandelier and Chrystal candles on the table, but still able to watch the baseball game and skilled bartenders. However, what really made the trip was our amazing server, she was outstanding. OK maybe it was the out of this world food that made our stay but our server was truly great; Kind, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly but not over bearing. Amaro's Table does it again. Beautiful setting, the remodel is fantastic. Food was stellar! No secret this is one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver. I've been to every location and they are always on point. Tried the grilled salmon and cilantro risotto, but got the blackened salmon instead and it was so tasty! Was a little nervous about the risotto but it was absolute perfection. My friend got the blackened shrimp with linguine and it was good as well. We went on a Friday so they were serving their clam chowder, and it is a must!! They top it with crispy fried clams that were such a nice touch. Looking forward to visiting again. Wow has this place expanded. It's so wonderful to see a small business succeed and grow. This location is beautiful--just look at that chandelier! Lunch is excellent, great drinks, fun food and parking is great, but can fill up, just keep circling. Chicken sandwich is so well seasoned, the fries are good, but think could use something more (chili, more salt or maybe a different cut), to make a 10. Special risotto is also fantastic. Service is wonderful, thank you nice gentleman server who gave us some free donuts cause our food was a little off on timing for the group--we didn't even notice, but how nice! First time visiting this location of Amaro's Table. The service was okay, but it didn't feel as friendly or welcoming as the downtown location. Not all smiles. When we arrived, the hostess seated us and brought our menus. She poured our water but spilled some on the table and just said "oops" without wiping it down or coming back to clean it, which felt a little off. The food, as always at Amaro's, was great. The chicken was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. That's definitely something they do consistently well. The location itself is beautiful and the ambiance is really nice and classy. I especially love the chandelier. They add such a nice touch to the space. Overall, a decent experience mainly because the food and atmosphere are great, but the service could have been more attentive and welcoming. Hopefully we'll have a better experience next time we stop in. read more

Sorry, I forgot to snap a pic. Nice place. It was a bit too dark for me. We all turned on the lights of our phones to see the menu. Servers were super friendly and helpful. We all had something different (almost), and we all loved what we got. I had the classic fried chicken entree and hush puppies appetizer. The hush puppies were so good. Amazing. I really wanted some fried Brussels but decided to pass. One colleague had citrus-glazed salmon, and the other had the roasted beet salad. The fried chicken was a breaded breast. So huge. It came with mashed potatoes and Coleslaw. My colleague had the chicken strips, which were not on the menu, but if you ask. . . they deliver. Her strips were equal in size to the same size as my chicken, but came with fries instead. We were first timers at this establishment and to our surprise the manager brought us a free dessert. . . guys, it's a tradition. Great tradition! Well they've done well with their name... Amaro's has taken an old brewery and turned it into a classy restaurant. We've been long term friends of the staff at Amaro's. We used to frequent the downtown locaiton at least 2 times a week. We've always loved everything about that location. This is the newest Amaro's location. They've truly classed up the old dumpy brewery. New paint, new decor, a fabulous bar, great new layout, fantastic staff... they've really brought the place up to par! I have nothing negative to say about this location. The staff is wonderful - they always remember our drink orders. The keep them topped off and know how to make dinner an enjoyable experience. The food is top notch. Consistent. Consistency is hard to find in the PNW but they have it mastered. Drinks are solid, food is fabulous, staff is wonderful. I ordered the Niciiose salad. . I specifically asked for my salmon to be medium. It came overcooked, and I was disappointed. I thought there could've been more green beans and capers. The ratio to the lettuce was not great. The balsamic glaze came on the side as requested. It was tangy and pretty good. Overall, a good salad. Would've been great if the salmon was cooked correctly. My friends steak sandwich was very nice. The meat was cooked a nice medium rare and the bread was hearty, but still soft. She enjoyed it. We ordered french fries as well and they were crispy and tasty. I like the mayo that comes with them although I'm usually a mustard fan, this was different and enjoyable.. Oh yum, so everyone that I have spoken to, said, "did you try their Fried Chicken?" Well I went today for lunch with friends, many ordered the Fried Chicken. I felt it was too heavy for a lunch plate, so I opt for their Wedge Salad and added a piece of Chicken. You have the option to add Grilled Chicken or Fried Chicken. It was amazing!!! I think the franchise is experiencing some growing pains. We had a reservation for 8 people. When we arrived we were told the table was not available. So we were asked to settle for a smaller one. Fortunately we had three children so it barely worked but would not have with adults. I don't know much about the hospitality industry but our server should not have been hustling as hard as he was. He did very well but obviously being at that table spread him very thin. Causing us to wait long amounts of time for each part of the service. It was not comfortable and doubtful it was up to the standard set. I must emphasize that the performance of each employee was great but the chemistry and timing of the team was way off. I feel they are synonymous with Italian in Vancouver but I'm not sure why. It's possible I just made all this up in my head. The food was quite good. The fried chicken was very flavorful. Maximum surface area and crispiness but dried out the meat a little. Loved the pretzel with fondue. Great calamari. Well seasoned and cooked steak. The steak sandwich is a little too spicy. But the meat was delicious. My only complaint about the food was they were very heavy handed with the rosemary. Any food that had it had way too much of it. It was my aunts birthday so they brought out their homemade donuts which were really good also. Perhaps it's unfair to judge so harshly on one experience. I would return. Perhaps to the original location but it sounds like they have a little sorting out to do at this spot. Also parking is not very good. Keep that in mind. read more

This is a 3.5 star review. I've been to the downtown Amaro's Table many times, as well as Cecilia and always had a great experience. I was excited to try this new one. The space is beautiful, as many have reported. Dark walls, chandeliers and carpeting that keeps the space from being too loud. I think the tables are too close in the main room and was happy to be seated at a very cool round table under the stairs with its own chandelier. Service was subpar. Our server was friendly, but didn't seem too experienced or knowledgeable about the menu. He visited so infrequently that you didn't feel like you could request anything, such as more sauce for the calamari (request more sauce when you order; the amount they give you is not proportional to the amount of calamari). I ordered the Ocean Eyes cocktail because it seemed like a less sweet option, which our server agreed. It tasted like lime soda with simple syrup. No complexity and too sweet. I never do this, but I swapped it out for a Manhattan, which was very well done. Our table ordered the calamari, the ricotta jam, the Brussels sprouts and an order of fries. Very disappointingly, all of the appetizers were lukewarm, as if they'd been sitting waiting to be served for quite some time. This definitely took away from their enjoyment. The hubs and I ordered the fried chicken and split it. We've had it at the other restaurant and it's definitely enough for two (or three!). This dish was delicious! However the coleslaw was not as special as at the other location. All in all, I know I'll be back. I'm going to assume it was an off night and give them the benefit of the doubt. What a swanky restaurant! The interior is stunning, and the service remains delightful: professional, friendly and efficient. We sat at the bar for a glass of wine and a light, early dinner. The bar tender was wonderful, and he knew the menu well, easily answering our questions. We enjoyed: --beet salad with goat cheese --fried chicken sandwich --corn fritters --bowl of wild rice, chicken soup (alas, it had cream, so my friend enjoyed it fir me--yes, I could have sent it back because the bar tender didn't mention the cream, but my friend was hungry and said the soup was delicious). Amario's Table is one of my favorite restaurants. The newest addition to their growing empire hits every note--it's already an accomplished restaurant (full at 5:30 in a Saturday night). Service was great. Food tasted excellent. Not too salty. Portions were very good for the price. My friend and I sat upstairs and it was a nice quieter space. Far from the bathroom but it wasn't an issue. The decor on the first floor is nicer and great for large parties. Thanks to our server who brought tastings for a couple wines so I could make my decision. The New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was perfect for me. The German Riesling was slightly sweet(unlike normal German rieslings) but would be a great aperitif wine. Calamari appetizer was great. It hit the spot. The salad with a salmon was very good. My friend had the chicken sandwich & she said it was the best fried chicken she'd ever had. She chose the Wagu butter chips & I tried them. They were way too decadent for my preference. I had the steak sandwich & it was good. Both of my friends got the lavender lemonade. I don't know how it tasted, but it was gorgeous. Okay, the one downside... it was so incredibly loud in there at lunchtime. It reminded me of the decibel level at a Cheesecake Factory. Very impressed with this place. We arrived for dinner at about 4:30pm to take advantage of happy hour (which ends at 5). They have a great and extensive HH menu and fairly priced. Drinks ordered were the NA cocktail (NA aperitif with grapefruit, ginger, bitters, and lemon) and the old fashioned. NA cocktail was perfect balance of bitter and sweet. Apps ordered were the hushpuppies and the mac n cheese (forgot to take a pic first). Hush puppies were my fav and came with a yummy honey butter sauce. Mac was average. The entrees were 10/10. Unlike many restaurants, they asked how I wanted my salmon cooked!!! And they cooked it perfectly medium not over done. The citrus glaze was perfect and the green beans delicious. I was very impressed with the burger it had great flavor. We went to Amaro's for a birthday and they brought out free ricotta donuts for dessert which was a nice touch and so delicious. Food: 4.5/5: the calamari is my favorite. I categorize crispy salt pepper calamari as: 1) American 2) Asian style. Why? American style salt pepper calamari uses only salt and pepper as the seasoning base whereas Asian salt pepper calamari is more flavorful, has an unctuousness and plethora of flavors including savory and slight sweetness with onion and garlic, etc. just way more tasty so I don't think it would be a fair comparison. Amaro's calamari is the best American style salt pepper calamari in Clark County IMO as it is not greasy, it's tender, and perfectly seasoned. Their fried chicken is tasty, alcoholic drinks great. They get a 4.5/5 for the 12oz New York steak I recently ordered with mash potatoes and green beans. The steak was to be medium well, but it was not cooked at my preferred temp/doneness. The cut was tougher than I expected. However, overall the quality of the food is great. Service is okay. Needs improvement. Ambiance : exceptional. We were at the new branch on 177th off of Mill Plain. The decor is a beautiful, posh modern and cozy vibe, very intimate. I don't get the hype. I've really tried to give Amaro's Table multiple chances, but unfortunately my experiences have been consistently disappointing. For a recent reservation (made weeks in advance) for my husband's birthday, I requested a booth because we had an older guest and someone with back problems in our group. The request wasn't accommodated, which was frustrating given the circumstances. Food-wise, vegetarian options are limited. I've received wilted salads more than once. The quinoa burger is flavorful, but I've repeatedly ordered it without cheese due to a dairy allergy and it continues to arrive with cheese. Having to send food back for an allergy-related issue is concerning. I really wanted to like this place, especially with the newer location (which is beautiful), but after several similar experiences, I won't be returning. read more

We had a great experience at the new Amaro's location off of Mill Plain! We didn't make a reservation and decided to take our chances on a Saturday night only a week after opening. It was just my husband and I and we ended up getting sat after only a 15 minute wait. Before we could even look at the menu, we were appreciating the ambiance and amazing transformation that seemed to have been done so quickly, yet so perfectly. We truly think the renovation looks great and hardly recognized that it used to be a brewery! The cocktails were good and refreshing but I'd definitely love to see more of a variety and honestly thought they were a tad overpriced for the size. As for the food, my husband and I decided to share so we could try a bit of everything. We ordered the risotto of the day which was parmesan marinara with breaded chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked very well and we loved the marinara flavor. We also ordered the steak sandwich which was probably the star of the show. My husband loves sandwiches in any form and it's usually what he orders when we go out so he's got his own "sandwich scale." The steak was cooked perfectly and wasn't chewy like most steak sandwiches, the aioli was zingy and went perfectly with the cherry peppers. We also were pleasantly surprised at the size of the side salad. Yes, it was an extra fee, but it was a great size to share rather than ordering the full size salad or an appetizer. I ordered the cheesy, mushroom risotto special with bacon wrapped chicken. My goodness... I darn near licked the plate. My best friend also really enjoyed the few tastes she had. My daughter ordered the happy hour chicken tenders since it was $8 and the kids menu ones were $10. It came with a honey sauce that I thought was delicious! My friend had the 16 oz ribeye. It was good... maybe not $54 good but true crust was tasty and meat was tender. After watching the orders of donuts go by our table we had to try them. It was a perfect end to our meal. Perfectly fluffy and warm - these little beauts were delicious and came with a salted caramel sauce that couldn't get enough of. This was a really lovely place that we recommend for a nice evening out. The food was 10 out of 10. The redesign of building from previous lease holders was a great improvement. Our server Cesar F was a delight made us feel welcome for the first time visiting this location. I ordered two Mexican items of the happy hour menu which were both just delicious. My wife ordered the ribs which she really enjoyed. If you haven't been to one of the other Amaro's locations it's time you give it a try. This might just be a new regular spot for us! read more
