We went here for dinner after our return to Vancouver. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. We sat outdoors because the weather was perfect. The ambience is modern, sleek, and upscale. Our server, Daniel, was top notch and very accommodating to our every request. He was attentive without being overbearing. I started with the heirloom and mozzarella salad and it was excellent. The vegetables had robust flavor so you could actually taste what you were eating, It was a great choice. The wife had a "Main salad" which came with a crab cake, smoked salmon, and boiled shrimp as the proteins. I tried the smoked salmon and it was tender, not dry, with a mild smoke flavor. The rest of the salad were assorted vegetables that you find in a salad and everything was fresh. I had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza which was too much for one person. The crust was thin and crispy and the toppings were generous. It was a very good pizza. The kid had a burger with grilled vegetables. The meat was smoky and charred, good quality meat. For dessert, the wife and I split a piece of carrot cake and it was outstanding. It had great flavor and was very moist. One of the best I have ever tried. Overall, if we lived in Vancouver we would be regulars here. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish.

Stopped in with a friend for a late lunch and a beer. Really enjoyed the food and the conversation. It was busy but quiet enough for us to hear each other. The inside bar and dining room are spacious and well lit but they also have a great outside seating area. Service was great. Our server was super nice. Attentive yet not intrusive.

It's my second time here and my clients always know to take me back when I'm in town, and I'm grateful! Fantastic place, beautiful interior that works for business, or casual, and even for a romantic rendezvous! I had the ribeye last time and was quite happy. Two on our table did this time and were equally pleased. I went for the short rib and it didn't disappoint! Mine was on the fatty side--which I happen to like--so if the gelatinous, fatty layer on top of beef does not appeal to you, perhaps mention it to your server (though 2 others in our party had it and weren't as lucky as me with their beef fat content). The candied deviled eggs weren't bad, just nothing special. We had crab cakes too, and I definitely liked the slaw better than the cake. I wish I subbed my potato salad (nothing special) for it. Great wine selection and tons of interesting beer as well. Our server Samantha was a delight! She had the most lively way of describing the specials for the evening, that half of us were swayed to try it. Alas, she must have done such a good job they ended up running out by the time she took our orders. Overall fabulous place and I'll be sure to come back next time I'm in town!

I've been here a handful of times and have always been impressed. The food, the environment, the service are all top notch. They have a full bar and I've yet to be disappointed in any cocktail I've ever ordered. The bartenders are very knowledgeable as well, if you're exploring new drink and ingredient options. The best time to come here is during happy hour - their happy hour share plates are a great value, and quite filling. I strongly recommend their meatballs!

We wanted something different and haven't eaten in Camas before, so we found The Hammond Kitchen and Craft Bar. We loved it and will definitely be back! I had the Vegan Mushroom Burger but switched out the vegan Gouda for Swiss cheese. It was delicious but I think I should have tried the vegan cheese just to be able to offer a more accurate review. I have never had this kind of "burger" before, so I can't compare it to anything, but I enjoyed the flavors. He had the Sirloin Dip and said it was spectacular. It was tender, had a little horseradish on it, and the flavors of the Rosemary Parmesan bread complemented it very nicely. Our sides were the fries (very tasty) and the bar slaw which was almost like a version of a Caesar slaw. I enjoyed it and would get it again. We made reservations, were seated right away, the staff was friendly and attentive. They made sure my switch of cheese was done correctly before they brought it to the table. The restaurant was moderately busy but not overly loud and the decor was warm and rustic casual. They have a lot of interesting and enticing items on the menu, so we will have to make it out here a few more times. Shout out to our terrific server, Megan H!

The stuff they get right is delicious, but it can take a bit of misses to find them (as you can see in my last review). I ended up coming back since my husband and friend wanted to go to the range next door and I joined for dinner after. This time around we had better luck finding the right menu items. Their cocktails are very good and creative. Their deviled eggs are one of my favorites - especially because of their candied bacon. The steak brochettes is very good too. My friend raved about the burger! Service is always great and the view is beautiful especially if you're here on a clear evening and catch the sunset.

I stopped in for lunch today and sat at the bar, Sherry took such great care of me! She was friendly, attentive (despite being busy) & gave amazing recommendations (everything she suggested was spot on). The vibe was relaxed but elevated, and you can tell the team really cares about their guests. If you're in Camas, The Hammond is a must , especially if you're lucky enough to have Sherry taking care of you!

Thought I would give The Hammond Kitchen a try since we enjoyed our dining experience at The Cove in Vancouver. Evidently the two restaurants are related by ownership. Anyway The Hammond Kitchen did not disappoint. It's a modern, classy and reminiscent of the restaurants we frequented in Scottsdale, AZ. When we lived there. Our waitress was professional, punctual and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious and even the side dishes were brimming with flavor. We had the mushroom focaccia bread for our appetizer which was absolutely delicious. I had the halibut plate and my wife the vegan mushroom burger plate. Both excellent in their own respect. For desert we shared the lemon ricotta cheesecake which was obviously freshly made and also absolutely delicious. I would certainly order it again. In summary The Hammond Kitchen is worth a revisit by us, and can see why this is such a popular eatery on Yelp.

Good place to eat. Expensive tho for the portion size you get with your dinner. We got some crab cakes and deviled eggs with our dinner. Both were absolutely delicious. My steak and salmon special was good. My veggies were a bit cold tho. The mashed potatoes were good too. I really liked the garlic they added to the spuds. I ordered my steak medium and it came out more in the well side. But the pieces of steak is and the salmon are only 2 inches wide and like 3 inches long. So not very big. Just seems like for $42.00 you would get a little more portion size. Oh well, others liked their soups and salads. Great ambiance as well.

Great atmosphere in tasteful furnishings , tasty food, good presentation of the food. Drink was great. On the higher price side. Maybe because it has high ceilings, it feels cold, industrial, not welcoming.

Lovely. We could see a fountain. There was also a fireplace near us, which was a nice touch. Service was OK. A little bit slow, and in my opinion, the server was not well trained in basic table service. I would expect a bit better in such a nice location with a lovely restaurant. We both had coffee with plenty of cream. We asked what the soup was, the server didn't know if they had soup. A few minutes later, she returned to say they only had clam chowder. Which is exactly what my friend had had there before and wanted. After a long wait, a very nice bowl of clam chowder was served. It was a healthy portion and came with some oyster crackers. Very tasty. I ordered the roasted beef salad. The beats were on top of a bed of totally overdressed spinach for my taste. The beats were nicely roasted, and there were plenty of them. Candied pecans as well. Not a lot of feta. Pickled onions on top. It was OK only I would not order that again. My friend got the Caesar salad, which was very nice. The croutons were light and crunchy. We also had some bread that came with olive oil and vinegar. This item was fine, not great. The clam chowder was $10 for a bowl and it was the best thing that I had. We had to ask for a refill on our coffee, and also to clear some plates away that were finished. We did stay for a very long time. My friend felt relaxed there and was talking to me quite a bit. I do appreciate that we were not rushed out, however, it was not busy. We were never offered dessert. Perhaps we would've enjoyed that. I see myself returning, if my friend would like to.

We all know my #1 favorite meal of the week is my Sunday brunch. I need eggs cooked correctly, food served hot, good coffee, and at minimum - a smile. We walked in and met with a look of disgust. I was actually uncomfortable at how unwelcome we felt. We were nearly shooed away into an uncomfortable booth and provided with sticky and dirty menus. We very obviously inconveniencing the waitress when we asked for coffees and water. Ice-less water arrived with lukewarm coffee. He ordered an omelette. I ordered a standard breakfast with ham. The one-star review was redeemed with the fact they did cook my eggs correctly. The rest was just rubbish. The hash browns were cold and mushy. The ham was tough and served cold. The "toast" seemed to lack being toasted... odd. He took about 6 bites of his omelette and put down his fork. We both declined a box to take home the leftovers. Ridiculously overpriced but they were sure happy to point out where and how to tip for their three visits to our table. This is a hard no. We won't be back. It was disappointing enough that it isn't worth trying a second time to see if it gets better. It's hrad to fail at breakfast but they have mastered the art.

They did replace it with a fresh one which was good. Recently though, I ordered some Halibut Fish & Chips. Again, they were overcooked, burnt, and barely edible. Service wise, I counted 9 staff memembers congregated around the cash register just joking around and not paying attention to customers. On some nights, they start stacking the chairs on the stand alone tables, way before closing time. Nothing is more unwelcoming than that. What has happened to the diner? Have they changed ownership or something? It's sad, but customers will quickly tire of the declining food and service.
