First time to go here. We are visiting from Arizona my brother and sister in-law thought it would be a great place to have brunch. They were correct! Love there croissants! I had a Le Provence Benedict with butternut squash and potatoes. It was a very filling meal and a great combination of flavors! The servers were very nice and attentive. The area is packed with people outside is a nice place to eat but we went inside so we didn't have to wait.

Pretty sure my life's niche is finding myself at the best brunch spots. Went with family, and we all have VERY different taste palettes so the fact we all left satisfied was pretty exciting. It was packed with people as it's a pretty popular spot, but service was still great. Felt a little crammed so I'd like to try to find out when they are slower so I can enjoy not being shoulder to shoulder with the neighboring table. I got the La Provence Benedict and there was so much flavor. It was one of those meals that left you sad after because you ate it too fast and now your plate is empty. 10/10 - will be back.

10 years ago I loved going to La Provence on Alberta, but the last few years at the Vancouver location have been not as impressive. Assuming overall there's been a menu change. Food looks impressive but taste left a lot more to be desired. There was 3 of us with different orders and we were not too impressed. Service was good, and it's always clean.

Best brunch place in Vancouver, WA imo, hands-down. Presentation: 5/5 (work of art) Tastiness: 5/5 (Didn't know brunch could taste this good) Value: 4.5/5 (Pretty big portion size for the price, a tad expensive) Service: 5/5 (Checked up on us and very friendly) Cleanliness: 4.5/5 (Clean even on a rainy day) Noise level: moderate to loud

Came in for a quick breakfast. Colby was a great waiter. He is so good he was training a newbie. He found out my name by see my computer and saw my name on it and address me by my name. What a good way to catch my attention. I got the omlette with minus tomatoes add peppers. When they give you peppers they give all kinds of different peppers like red, orange and green. My omlette was pretty good. It seemed like it was overcooked as it was kind of spongy and brown in the outside. I don't remember if it came with cheese or not but I realized after I left that there was no cheese on it or in it. The croissants with the jam are delicious and so are the cappuccinos. The hashbrowns are plentiful and crispy too. This place is always packed no matter what the time or day. I have been going in by myself and have sat the counter each time. I think I might try something else the next time I got there.

This is the perfect spot for a family meal, girls brunch and date night! The menu is great, brunch, lunch or dinner and even drinks and pastries! Take some fun treats to go too! We got service with a smile!

We FINALLY tried this spot! I've heard so much about how amazing this spot is and it's ALL true! We stopped by a few weekends ago. Everything tasted so good, the benedict was perfect, the croissant paired so well with the eggs and ham. Also who doesn't love potatoes, the hash browns were perfect, light crispy and soft on the inside. The fried chicken and gravy was perfect with the biscuit. The latte was strong. Definitely a cute brunch spot to come back to or bring guests to! There was a short wait on a Saturday morning but staff was speedy. Interior is also super cute, plaza had ample parking.

    Ultimate Polenta

Finally made it to La Provence and will absolutely be back! I had a mimosa flight with seasonal lavender and cranberry, and then pineapple and raspberry. All 4 were delicious but the lavender was absolutely my favorite! For my meal I got the Ultimate Polenta with over easy eggs & a croissant. The croissant's are soft and flaky, and the jam is so good! The polenta was creamy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious. My partner got the Chef's Omelette with a croissant and really enjoyed it as well. We will be back again, looking forward to trying the Bloody Mary flight, risotto cakes, and Salmon Hash!

What an experience! We enjoyed every second of our brunch at La Provence. We were seated quickly and our server was attentive but not overbearing which was perfect. My husband had the west coast salmon Benedict and he loved it. I had the Traditional Benedict which was a classic done to perfection. I also had the butternut squash on the side which was a light compliment to the Benedict. The ONLY change we would have made was a bit more hollandaise sauce on them both but that was quickly remedied by our server.

I'm from out of town and my in-laws brought us here before heading to the airport on a Monday. Tons of parking and a Lovely comfortable restaurant. Our waiter was awesome (i should have got his name) Food was good my favorite was the fresh croissant and raspberry jam. I would come again on my next visit.

What a great spot!! Really nice building with a screened off & heated outdoor area which we really enjoyed!! Our server was David C, he was great!! The food was incredible! Definitely a place I'd recommend, & come back to!!! You'll just have to go there & try it out! Plenty of parking, and we didn't have to wait on a Saturday morning.

"Not a lotta France in this so-called French joint, mon ami." Walked into La Provence expecting Paris ... got Portland with a beret. Other than croissants and baguettes, there's not much waving the tricolor here. My Mission: Bourguignon Brunch - $21 Braised beef in a "red wine ancho chili sauce" over a battlefield of butternut squash, bacon, leek, potato, green pepper, harissa, and jalapeño, topped with an egg and horseradish crème. Sounds tactical, right? Wrong. The butternut squash threw a frag into the operation -- mushy, weirdly sweet, and out of place. Beef was MIA on flavor. My Wife's Objective: Strawberry Pistachio Praline French Toast - $17 A brioche stuffed with strawberry crème, topped with strawberries, whipped cream, pistachio praline, orange crème, and cardamom sugar. Over-the-top? Sure. But she was grinning like a Parisian on leave, so mission accomplished on that front. The Final Insult: Éclair - $7.50 Seven-fifty ... for one pastry smaller than a 9mm mag? You've gotta be kidding me. I've eaten better out of a French MRE. Bottom Line: Not bad, not great. If they actually served real French food -- cassoulet, escargot, beef bourguignon, coq au vin -- I might saddle up again. Until then, this is just "Oregon Provence." CombatCritic Gives La Provence 5 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better - Unless You're On The Receiving End ... HOOAH!

PARKING // Parking is ample and free. AMBIANCE // Very Provincale and very French. Busy, moderate noise and high traffic. Low lighting and outdoor seating optional patio area with heaters. INTERIOR // Nice panted concrete flooring, lovely counter tile work and beautiful open wood beam ceiling. Seats are comfortable and benches are tall to afford privacy. Copper accoutrements include huge chandeliers. Copper ductwork work foe the air conditioning system. Stunning walled tile. There is a separate pastry area to the left ×hen you walk in. Upstairs seating in a loft area is available as well as an over 21 only beverage bar area. Quaint decor and ample room. FOOD // Please note they only serve breakfast and lunch.Croissant is amazing. Light, flaky & buttery. Just the way it should be. Okay, now that's crazy . . . the orange juice tastes fresh squeezed. Very interesting raspberry jam. At first bite i wasn't a fan, however by the 4the bite I was in love. Lavender latte, if you've never had one you don't know what you're missing. I was a little skeptical it was highly suggested I did it I love it. Just the right amount of lavender to not be overwhelming yet to give it the perfect balance of coffee, cream and lavender. Anyone who knows me knows I don't like my food touching. This is a huge step for me and I have to tell you the mixture and the balance of the flavors and textures is absolutely amazing. The Wild Salmon Hash was absolutely outstanding. I am not a huge salmon fan, but this did not taste fishy and was incredibly good. The perfect mix of crispy hash browns not overdone and not too greasy. Over medium egg the white cooked perfectly and the yolk still decadently runny, leaks not too soggy but not too underdone, the salmon cooked to perfection and spread evenly throughout the dish accompanied with a perfect blend of fresh crisp microgreens on top, with a creamy dill sauce similar to hollandaise but better. The serving is very generous for two or three people to share. SERVICE // The service was outstanding. The perfect balance of professional, knowledgeable and friendly. A well-seasoned individual & a fantastic human you should definitely ask for COLBY. You're welcome!

We genuinely enjoy discovering new culinary destinations, from thoughtfully curated interiors and elevated ambiance to the creativity and execution behind each menu. Above all, however, the food is what leaves a lasting impression. Given the experience and investment, we fully expected to leave feeling satisfied. Unfortunately, despite an evening that included a bottle of wine, cocktails, and over $400 tab for two, we both walked away feeling surprisingly underwhelmed and still somewhat hungry. The most memorable part was the dessert. We understand and appreciate the concept of a seasonal tasting menu, but we were under the impression that the progression of courses would ultimately feel more complete. Interestingly, your neighboring restaurant embraces a similar dining philosophy, yet we consistently leave feeling both delighted and fully satisfied. While there were certainly aspects of the experience we enjoyed, the overall meal simply didn't deliver the sense of fulfillment we had anticipated. The service was nothing to brag about.

I was treated crappily by staff who I observed saying my order was not their responsibility. Not everyone there was bad. The initial service I got was good, but my coffee was so poorly slapped together because I spoke up. My sandwich was also slapped together missing ingredients I paid for, so enjoy the extra money I guess. Here's how the interaction went. I was assured my mocha would be ready in a few minutes, before my food, from a really nice staff person who too my to-go order. They instructed me where to stand. I watched the person put together my mocha. All that was needed was ice. My food came out quickly and I took it while waiting for my drink. 15 minutes passed. Two staff members looked at my drink and one said "who put this here " and another person said "I don't know, not my problem". I spoke up and said "hey that's my drink and if you put ice in it, I promise I'll get out of your way" - it was busy and packed. I was trying to be understanding. One of them made a disgusted face at me and said "I was gonna put ice in it!!!" ... wow. Eventually they did. And did it so sloppily that there was mocha all over the drink. The top was put on poorly and the drink spilled all over me. I tried to tell another server who was greeting and seating people but they kept saying "oh it's okay! It's totally fine" - no, it actually isn't. I get it. You don't want my business of 15+ years, but there are nicer ways of conveying that. I was ripped off and treated in a way I don't treat my enemies. But just like my order, that's "not your problem", right?

On our first visit we had a reservation and were seated at a table. After ordering, patrons are served a complimentary leek soup in an espresso size cup. I wish it were on the menu because it is one of the best things I've ever tasted. The flavor is incredibly rich! We ordered the clam chowder, halibut, maple glazed carrots and tres leches cake. The clam chowder's presentation was nicely done but nothing special in taste. It came so highly recommended on Reddit and many other diners ordered it but neither my party nor I cared for it. The halibut was good but didn't stand out and the maple glazed carrots weren't to my taste. What completely won us over was the tres leches cake. It is one of the most delicious and most memorable desserts we've ever had. Every layer complemented the next perfectly creating an incredibly balanced dessert that wasn't overly sweet with different textures. We couldn't stop talking about it afterward. It was one of the reasons we decided to give the restaurant a second shot. After our meal I mentioned to our server that we weren't sure if we'd ordered the right dishes since we weren't thrilled with the food especially with how popular the restaurant is. He explained that it's primarily an Argentinian steakhouse and suggested returning to try the meat dishes. On our second visit we arrived at opening without a reservation. There was plenty of seating but since we didn't have a reservation we were seated at the bar. I didn't mind seated at the bar but the bar stools were extremely uncomfortable, almost torturous. Unfortunately, it was too hot to sit outside. Midway through dinner a machine, maybe a dishwasher, was turned on behind the bar. It was loud and the vibrations could be felt. This time we ordered the beet salad, cheese empanada, beef empanada, two filet mignons and the lamb shoulder. The beet salad was a disappointment. It consisted of large overly soft chunks of beets with what tasted like a basic grocery store salad dressing. For a restaurant of this caliber I expected more. Neither of us enjoyed the cheese empanada but we both liked the beef empanada. We also ordered two filet mignons cooked the same way. Both arrived more done than requested and one way more overcooked than the other. They were also on the salty side, though both were very tender. The lamb shoulder, which our server had already warned us about before we ordered, ended up being dry and tough. The chimichurri served alongside the savory dishes was also heavier on onions than I prefer. Overall, the service was excellent, and the complimentary leek soup and tres leches cake were truly outstanding. Unfortunately, despite two visits, the main dishes we ordered didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation for us.

We were genuinely excited and looking forward to a special evening. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short, especially given the price point and strong Yelp rating. The oxtail croquettes arrived cold, which was surprising for a fried item and set a disappointing tone early. The biggest issue was the hamachi crudo. It had a strong fishy smell with clear hints of ammonia and tasted far from fresh, bordering on spoiled. There was a lingering aftertaste that unfortunately affected everyone's palate for the rest of the meal. We sent it back due to quality concerns. My family and I grew up eating liver and mousse from our own family recipes and from many different culinary traditions. The chicken liver mousse here was creamy in texture but lacked depth and subtle sweetness, and tasted overly mineralized. It was the first chicken liver mousse I have ever not finished. The crab beignets were acceptable, though they could have used more crab. The accompanying sauce was well executed. The miso deviled eggs were tasty, and the anchovy add-on worked nicely. The Parisienne gnocchi, at $40, was not memorable and leaned heavily salty. Steak frites were standard, a dish that is generally hard to fumble. Unfortunately drinks. The shift in service after we sent back the hamachi was obviously uncomfortable and noticeable. The energy dramatically changed. There was little interest in engaging with our feedback. For a meal that totaled over $200, we left disappointed and still hungry. Portland offers many stronger dining options at this price point that deliver both quality and hospitality. Disappointing feels like an understatement. I am genuinely puzzled by the high rating based on the food quality and service we experienced. We will not be returning, nor would I recommend it based on this visit.

Hospitality: amazing Ambiance: cozy corner restaurant that instantly feels warm when you enter. You'll witness at least one hug (I saw two!) The set menu for dining month has two options for course 1 and 2, and then a dessert. My favorite was the Nuestra Ensaladilla Rusa with albacore tuna conserva, albacore tataki, confit potatoes, carrots, mayo, and tobiko. This was basically a main course for me and I only finished half the 2nd and my dessert. All very delicious.

Everything we ordered was gorgeous and whimsical in presentation, but of course that would mean little without the flavors to back it all up, which it had in spades. The Thai steak tartare tostadas were incredibly balanced, with brightness and herbaceous notes from the vegetables, herbs, and sauce, great punch from the Thai spices, richness from the tartare, and a nice snap and slight nuttiness from the tapioca crisps cradling everything underneath. The foie gras dumplings were simply divine. I expected them to be rich and dense, but they were like little pillows, with a savory filling and a perfect balance of smoked leek broth, crispy fried leeks, and a caramelized shallot jam that ended up being the surprise star of the dish for me. Then came the main event, the Duck Stack, which I can only describe as a McGriddle on steroids (in the best possible way!). Somehow it all worked beautifully, with the rich duck gravy, fluffy pancakes drenched in syrup, spiced onions, and a fried duck egg tying everything together in perfect harmony. It was one of those dishes that sounds wild on paper but is totally brilliant on the plate and in your mouth. Really fantastic meal from start to finish, and I'm already excited to come back to try more of the menu (and the happy hour!) on a future visit.

The garlic fries were spicy in the best way, perfectly crisp, and served steaming hot. The Duck Stack (pancakes covered with duck gravy, onions, and a duck egg) sounded a bit odd to me (and probably many others). When I asked the server if it was good, they told me that people travel to the restaurant specifically for that dish. I'm glad I tried it. Again, very unique with a well balanced spice profile paired with the delicious undertones of a hot pancake. I know I would have never thought of that, doesn't sound like it should work, but....it worked! Service was great, atmosphere was a bit loud with a band playing next door, it was a bit overwhelming, plus a random dude walked into the restaurant and a server lit his joint for him as a courtesy(?)...stunk the place up for a few minutes, but as I thought about it, I decided that was about the most "Portland" thing I had seen all week on my trip :) I'll be going back for sure, I would love to taste through that entire menu. Did I mention the Foie Gras Dumplings? I never had anything like them in my life. That's a dish I would definitely travel back to Portland for.
