    Double bone lamb chop
    Paul M.

We did a 1/2 dozen oysters to start, which had caviar on top, some seaweed salad and other goodies which made them very approachable and delicious. Double bone in lamb, with squash, Mole Rose, potato, and some other amazing goodness i cannot remember. The lamb was meaty and delicious, cooked to perfection. Chef Sosa delivered yet another perfectly curated and prepared masterpiece. We paired it with a very affordable Cab Sauv, and crème brûlée for desert. The service was impeccable as always. Chef Sosa visited our table twice during our meal to make sure everything was acceptable. We were seated at one of the cool living edge tables made from a cedar round. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for fine dining, an expertly curated menu, and freshly prepared meals from locally sourced ingredients.

In Vancouver? For brunch? Then this is the perfect place! First time today, invited three of my friends and we were amazed with every single dish and drink. Such a wonderful place. We all ordered different dishes and all of us four were not disappointed. Flavor and presentation for every single dish was phenomenal. Not one negative thing. Service was beyond professional. Very informative and helpful Jennie was our waitress and we all enjoyed her service. The ambiance is gorgeous. Simple decor, clean, comfortable. Seriously one of the best restaurants I have been in Vancouver by far. Highly recommend. It's a must!

First thing you notice- ambiance is very rustic modern. Dim lighting. Bright enough inside the restaurant to where candles are lit and pieces of natural light from outside shine in. My mother and I came for brunch today on a whim and so happy we did! I had the chilequiles rojo. My mom had biscuits and gravy and our brunch was to die for! I'm usually not a breakfast food type girl so this is high praise for myself. Portions were massive I had to take a to-go box home with me. Service was prompt and knowledgeable. Definitely want to come enjoy dinner here sometime soon as well

Is this a special occasion restaurant? Yes! Should you wait for a special occasion to come here? No don't wait, just go! I first heard of Elements several months ago and we decided to wait for our anniversary to go. My only regret is that we waited. We had an amazing brunch of Tortilla Español and Chilaquilles Rojos. Both were amazing! And their list of specialty house cocktails made it hard to choose just one! Ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and blueberry compote were perfect. Why wait for after dinner to enjoy dessert? Don't miss this warm and cozy spot. It's super cute and the service was amazing.

Have walked by Elements so many times but never had a chance to come in - when I was looking for where to grab brunch this morning I was happy to see Elements had a brunch menu. Service was so great - everyone was kind, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The menu options were great - I ended up getting the steak & eggs and my dad got the chilaquiles verdes. We both also got mimosas - they do something different with their grapefruit mimosas and I love it!! So many times the grapefruit mimosas are sickly tart but this one was not. Food, drinks, and service were all great. I look forward to having brunch here again in the future.

4.5 Stars Fresh & Flavorful We finally made it elements in Vancouver. It was pretty easy to find and they had a parking lot behind the restaurant with a back door making it convenient. The staff we welcoming and very friendly. They have atrong emphasis on local, sustainable sourcing and ever-changing, inventive dishes. We shared the beet salad which hit the spot. For entrees we had, roasted king salmon, parmesan crusted petrale sole and rigatoni. Definitely a spot we would come back to and recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dinner in Vancouver.

We tried Elements for the first time on NYE & despite their having a packed house we were all blown away. We opted for their tasting menu which I'm happy we did because every dish was delicious and satisfying to the senses. I loved the ambiance and kindness of the staff who really did their best to make sure we were comfortable and had a great time. Best way to end 2025

Bloody Margaret (gin, instead of vodka), quite tasty, but definitely on the spicy & garlicky side.

Still 5-Stars! This update is to add a comment on their weekend brunch (more on that later in this review update). Follow them on instagram for drool-inducing photos & videos of menu spotlights, along with updates on specials. Everything in my previous reviews still hold true. This is a wonderful place for a special occasion meal, date night, or just to "treat yo self!" The food is always incredibly delicious, the menu changes regularly with as many locally sourced ingredients by the season as possible, and the service is always warm & friendly, without any hint of pretentiousness. Their cocktails & desserts are heavenly as well! Oh, and you get a complimentary crème brûlée dessert if it's your birthday! I recommend making a reservation online for dinner if possible as it's a smaller place, but walk-ins are sometimes possible. They also have an upstairs section you can reserve for larger groups. Their weekend brunch is also so delicious, with some standard breakfast options (but elevated & presented beautifully), along with some more unique options that change with local produce availability. You can usually get in for brunch easily without a reservation, but I still recommend making a rez online ahead of time if you know for sure what weekend day & time you'll be there, just in case. If you have the opportunity to attend one of Chef Miguel's special prix fixe themed menu dinners, I highly recommend! He has them from time to time and they are truly magnificent. There's always a beverage pairing menu available as well you can add on. I attended one of his vegan dinners and WOW - I'm not vegan, and it was so delicious, I would have sworn some of those dishes had meat in them because he worked some umami magic on those fruits & veggies! He posts info on these special menu nights on Instagram, and you have to reserve ahead to get a spot, so be on the lookout for posts about those.

We had a nice experience overall at Elements. The vibe here is super cute and cozy without trying too hard. The live edge tables really stood out. They add a beautiful natural touch to the space. Service was wonderful from start to finish, attentive and friendly. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, and the avocado and lox Benedict. Both were flavorful and thoughtfully presented. I had the Portuguese biscuits with the benedict and I thought those were just ok. A bit dense for my liking. I also do wish the Hollandaise had been a bit warmer. I would come back though. I'd love to try their dinner!Overall great atmosphere, great service, and a menu is worth exploring further.

    Tres Leches cake

Simply amazing food. I had to fight the urge to lick the plate. Highly recommended. The goat cheese fondue combined with the red wine reduction was incredible. My only regret is not getting more bread to soak up the juices.

My husband and I came here on a Saturday evening. We had reservations and were quickly seated to our table. Our hostess came and took our drink order quickly. We looked at the menu and decided to choose a few different items to share. The bread and butter was great. The scallops was my husband's favorite. It was very tasty. The NY strip was thoroughly cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious. Our table was often glanced at and taken care of, which we appreciated. The atmosphere of the space was very cozy. The live edge tables elevated the restaurant and not to mention all of the amazing artwork hung throughout the restaurant. We will be back to try a different menu in the near future.

Sunday 10am, of course all places will be busy with waits for breakfast! I called and they let me know there is no wait right now and will setup a table for our party of 4, to be ready for our arrival - how sweet?! The person who answered the phone was so kind, professional and bubbly as well! We were seated promptly and all staff welcomed us warmly when we walked in. No lie, the iced tea was the best iced tea I've ever had lol not sure if it's brewed in house or what, but so good! Lemon ricotta pancakes, we wanted to try multiple things so very happy to know they can do a half order, and they were amazing - like I'd give my kidney up for them. Roasted potatoes, again, best I've ever had, flavorful, seasoned to perfection. Our eggs Benedict we opted for the Portuguese muffin, made in house, slightly sweeter than an English muffin and denser - but it was amazing. One "negative" thing I'd have to say is one of the kiddos that ordered the classic breakfast with sausage was disappointed that the sausage was chorizo - he assumed breakfast sausage as we all did - the menu didn't say chorizo. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, I'll be back for dinner for sure!! Oh and on the to go boxes the staff wrote the date on the box and a cute note

We had a nice evening at Elements. Dinner service was great and the food was good. We started with the Hamachi Crudo that tasted amazing. While the Poached Lobster was a little overcooked but good, the steak was cooked perfectly and the truffle butter made it exceptional. For dessert we had the pumpkin tiramisu which was good too. Service was excellent.

Is there a kids menu? If so, I don't see it on the website.

I did not see a kids menu. I don't think they cater to very young children. The place is small and kids would be bored.

Are there any gluten free options?

Yes they are. Please visit our website to view our current menu. At www.elementsvancouver.com Any questions please call us 360 258 0989

Why do you come up when I search SUSSHI!!!!? You DO NOT MAKE SUSHI

I’m not sure probably because at some point we had sashimi on the menu.. I’m sorry

    Vegan breakfast/brunch items?

Ask the chef Miguel when you get there he would be happy to help out.

    Do they have mimosas?

Yes they do. Hand squeezed. At least a couple different kinds

I am absolutely loving exploring the area around my new home!…read more About two blocks away is Uptown Barrel Room, and I think I may have just found my new favorite neighborhood spot. It's close enough to walk to, which makes it even better. Honestly, every time I walk through the door, I almost want to start singing the Cheers theme song. This is now my third visit, and each time I've had a great experience. The crowd is incredibly friendly, and there's just something about this place that makes you feel welcome. On my first visit, I sat at the bar and met Randi, the bartender. She is absolutely amazing! She knows everyone by name and has that wonderful ability to make you feel like you've been coming there forever. I started with the calamari, and Randi set me up with some chipotle mayo for dipping. Excellent choice! I finished with the combination pizza. At first, I thought the crust was sourdough, but I was told it's actually a bagel crust. Regardless of what you call it, it was absolutely delicious! My second visit was about a week and a half later. I sat at the bar again, and Randi looked at me, smiled, and said, "Tony, right?" Now THAT is pretty amazing! Remembering my name after only one previous visit--and with a week and a half between visits--is exactly the kind of personal touch that makes a place special. Of course, I had to order the calamari again. This time I also tried the fried chicken. And if you're looking for a big portion, this is definitely worth checking out! For my third visit, I brought a couple of friends along. Candace took great care of us and did an amazing job as well. We started with the Italian meatball soup, and it was phenomenal. We also tried the fajita tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. While sitting at a regular table this time, I noticed some pretty impressive accolades on the wall. Uptown Barrel Room was named Best Wine Bar and Best Seafood in 2023, and Best Wine Bar again in 2024. It's always fun finding those little neighborhood gems, especially when you're new to an area. For me, Uptown Barrel Room has quickly become one of those places where you can walk in, see friendly faces, enjoy some great food, and feel like you belong. If you're in the area, go in and give it a try. You will not be sorry! And if you see me sitting at the bar, just come say hi. Apparently, Randi already knows my name. Cheers to discovering new places and making new friends!

We arrived around 11:30 on a Wednesday. It was still pretty busy, and only two booths were open. We were first on the wait list. We only waited about 5 minutes for the host to clear the tables and set them. Staff was friendly and welcoming. You can tell it's a popular place by how busy it was on a weekday. This restaurant occupies an older building in downtown Vancouver. There is street parking available. It's a small establishment, but they do a great job of utilizing every inch. They even have a nice waiting area by the door with two long wooden benches. There are both table and chair seating, as well as a few booths. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered the croissant club sandwich with fries and the triple play with half a reuben sandwich, Celtic Caesar salad and a cup of Irish stew. My hubby also asked for a side of bacon. The food came out rather quickly considering how busy they were. Everything we ordered we devoured. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I added avocado to my club sandwich and it was so yummy! Prices are more than reasonable compared to other establishments. You get a generous portion as well. Overall we were happy with the service, food and prices. We'll definitely return to try their breakfast options. Everything looked so appealing as it came out of the kitchen. Would highly recommend!
