So after a LOOONNNGGGGG day on the road heading from so Cal to Washington state we needed a good meal and happy for another hour and half to go we ordered seafood pancake, beef bugolgi and jajangmyeon noodles with pork! And for the thirst some ICE COLD water. The food was quick, the beef was a tad bit dry for my taste however seafood pancake totally Yumms. The noodles were well cooked and seasoned. Great Customer service, even the chef? Manager? Came to our table To say hello and asked how things were. The tv 's were showing some good drinks made overseas and the music was a good mix. Great price for a GOOD large amount of food!
Delicious and authentic Korean food in Vancouver! The atmosphere is casual and orientated towards groups of friends or families with large portions and sharing dishes. The Banchan selection was great. My favorite was the pickled radish with jalapeños. The kimchi jeon was crispy on the outside and had great texture and flavor from all the kimchi and green onions inside. I loved how the jjajangmyeon was made with udon noodles, which made it satisfying to eat. The beef bulgogi was tender, juicy, and lightly sweet.
We came here on a very Friday evening. Every single table was filled and there was only one waiter working. We were understanding and waited very patiently until he made it to our table to take our order and dropped off our waters. We ordered and thought we would need to wait for a bit as other tables haven't had their food yet, but surprisingly our food came out in record time! Everyone else's food came out in record time as well. The owner and everyone in the restaurant did what they could to accommodate the large crowd that evening. The Korean chicken wings is new and it was tasty. The salt and pepper dip was a decent touch to an already tasty batter. The kimchi pancake was good as well, maybe a bit overdone but ok. The noodles were spicy and the bibimbop was as good as ever. We come here regularly and the bibimbop never disappoints and it always hit the spot.
Nice clean restaurant, I saw the mamasan(idk the Korean word) running around. They are very busy!! I'll just say it's easier to pay with card vs cash, and the guy that handed me the take out order was very friendly. The meat Jun isn't what we're used to, like it wasn't marinated prior to cooking but I get it because the marinade would muck up the oil really fast when cooking in volume like that. Same with the shortribs in the soup. I'll be back for another try.

I had the dolsot bibimbap with beef. This really hit the spot on a chilly, rainy day. This is the place to be for Korean food. Service was great and it was quiet evening to have a nice dinner conversation.
We stopped in for lunch the other weekend and really enjoyed the options. We tried the rice cakes and I had the spicy pork. Both were average pricing, and good portion sizes. They did come out with some banchan as well - I do wish that would've come out a bit before the food and not with but a super minor complaint. Service was nice and quick and the place was super clean. I really enjoyed it and we had a good amount of leftovers as well.
This is one of those spots where you gotta take your visiting family! Some of the best korean food in town! We finally had a crew big enough to share the budae jjigae, and it was soo good, so many favors. The LA galbi and seafood pancake were good as usual. Also loved their banchan. Definitely going to return soon!
I've had this (somewhat new) restaurant on my places to try list for awhile. Finally decided to stop in on a Saturday for lunch. Not too busy around 11:30. Only one other table occupied when we arrived. We were not greeted at all. A woman just dropped two menus on a table and pointed. Not a very warm welcome that's for sure. I was pretty disappointed. It wouldn't have been so off-putting if the restaurant was busy, but they weren't. We perused the menu and decided on the chicken potstickers, seafood pancake and beef bulgogi. They bring about six side dishes with your food. Not sure what most of them were and the lady that brought them didn't offer any insight, so we just tried each one. Most were bland, but we enjoyed a couple of them. The food we ordered was really good and flavorful. It tasted fresh, and we appreciated the hot plate the beef bulgogi came on. The atmosphere isn't super comfortable or homey, just sort of a fast food type atmosphere. The K-pop music playing in the background was too loud and kind of annoying after awhile. Overall, the food was good, but the service and atmosphere is lacking. We won't be back.

The food was so good! Place was clean and ambience was great as well! I love that this place isn't loud. The servers offers great service. Food was served nice and presentation is also amazing. The fried chicken was pleasantly large. The sweet chili sauce wasn't too spicy thankfully and also tasted delicious. They give you 4 Banchan (side dishes) that they refill very willingly. They also offer barley tea :) What great service. Our waiter AG was so polite, friendly and attentive. The owner also checked in with us! What impressive customer service! They had 2 large clean bathrooms. The tables were all clean and spacious. I liked the installed wallpaper of trees and nature scenes. read more

Finally a Korean spot here in Vancouver!!! We were welcomed and seated without a wait on a Thursday night. Lots of seating options and options for a big party as well. The banchan options were good. The kimchee was yummy. I didn't really like the potato and yam one too much. We ordered the Galbi tang which was super yummy! It was a bit salty, but with rice it was the perfect combination. The spicy pork and squid combo was delicious! That dish is usually a hit or miss because it's either overpowered by veggies. But this was a good balance of protein to veggies. Overall a great experience for Korean food. Will be returning to try their other dishes. Update: I should've taken a picture of the menu the first time because I feel they have expanded their selections. Such as addding Yukhoe (raw meat dish) and yangnyeom gejang (spicy raw marinated crab) . Their blue crab ramen also caught my eye. Like what!? Oh and options for big party dishes like Galbi Jim (I have yet to try this)!!! This time around we tried the spicy squid with Soondobu and the flavor is just amazing. Definitely has our hearts, AND stomachs haha. read more

I've been so excited to try this Korean spot in the Vancouver area as I typically have to go to Beaverton or Portland to get some decent Korean food, and I was pleasantly surprised. Located in Hazel Dell, it's in a plaza where you can also do some shopping and grocery shopping. The inside of the restaurant is spacious, bright, and there's plenty of seats. Service here is nice. I came here with a friend and we ordered the bulgogi and the seafood bibimbap. The banchan was decent; it was good but there was nothing that stood out. I was very surprised by the seafood bibimbap, however. There was so much seafood in it and it was very flavorful and saucy (some people might not like that). Huge portions and delicious food. I would come back again if I was in Hazel Dell and craving some Korean food. (I would love to try their hot pots sometime!) read more
This is easily the best Korean establishment in the Vancouver area. It is located in a large shopping complex with plenty of parking. The decor is simple with some Korean adornments but overall it is very casual. When you're looking for Korean food, it isn't known to be on the cheaper end of eats, so it's very important that their quality is up to par and this place does not disappoint! We tried a variety of dishes and they were all very tasty and fresh! The service was standard fare! Like many hardcore Asian establishments, service is passable but not amazing. This is because the food prep and quality does the heavy lifting! I recommend any of the dishes to try, I haven't had a miss yet. But you can never go wrong with a hearty soup and protein alongside it! If you're craving Korean definitely stop on by! read more

Food tastes good! Ordered bi bim bap, chicken bulgogi, and jap chae "to go". What annoyed me though, is that they don't answer their phone. I called several times, so that I could order, and pick it up, but they never answered. I finally went there in person. I asked the cashier why they don't answer the phone, and she didn't speak English. She asked a coworker, and they didn't know either. Other than that being very annoying, the food tasted good. I've had better Korean food, but this is closer to where I live. I went back and this time I dined in. These pictures are from when I dined in. If you don't mind going there in person to order "to go", or if you plan on dining in, then by all means, try this place. I would encourage management to hire someone that can take orders by phone. read more

It's nice to see a non Korean bbq place open in Vancouver. The Korean food is decent, nothing that wowed me or made me think it was special. The food is good. The banchan (side dishes) are the typical side dishes, I didn't like their cucumber kimchi as it was bitter to me. Though their Napa cabbage kimchi and their radish kimchi was good. The pickled radish, cabbage and macaroni salad were fine. We ordered the galbitang and the seolleongtang, two of my favorite soups to order at Korean restaurants. The galbitang came with two large beef ribs, noodles, green onions, egg, daikon radish in a clear broth. The beef ribs didn't have much meat on it, and the soup was a little too sweet for me. However, the it was decent. The seolleongtang came with green onions and soup was seasoned already. Had some beef slices, not much and some clear noodles. Traditionally with seolleongtang you season the soup yourself and add the green onions to your liking. It had a was good but again nothing amazing or different. Overall, I'm happy to see that there is a Korean restaurant here that serves food other than Korean BBQ. The food is good here and will definitely come back again. There is a lot of parking as well since it's located in a big plaza. read more

OMGGGG literally soooooooo sooooooo good. I got the beef bulgogi and my husband got the Korean ramyeon. I got a super spicy sauce to add to my bulgogi and the waiter said " I envy your spice tolerance" it made me laugh. 10/10 WILL be coming back read more

So this place is really a 3.5 but I wanted to be more generous since this is a new local business. I do want to acknowledge that they are offering more Korean options that's not KBBQ in the Vancouver area but there is not much competition out there. You walk in and wait to be seated by the friendly staff. It does seem they were a little understaffed with a little bit of a wait to be seated and to order. Everything gets brought out in a cart and you get to see them torch the corn cheese right in front of you which is pretty cool! The space is not super big but has an option for a group to sit by the kitchen cross-legged style without shoes which is pretty cool and adds to the dining experience. Otherwise the tables along the walls and in the middle can accommodate different seating arrangements. The food was on the pricier side but the portion is decent. The banchan was pretty basic and water is being served in the iconic metal cups and the soft drink dispensers. Our favorite was the kimchi pancake! It was crunchy on the edges and not too spicy with a dipping sauce that complemented everything. It was nice they were able to make the tteobokki (spicy rice cakes) without the fish cakes for my vegetarian friend, but the ramen was a little undercooked. The Dolsot Bimbimbap came piping out and sizzling in their stone bowls and came with the spicy and sweet gojujang sauce on the side. The rice was super crispy on the bottom and it looks so pretty with all the different colored vegetables when it's all mixed in. I got the beef one but there was very little beef in my $19 rice bowl. Overall it was delicious and a great option for Korean food in this area but there are so many great Korean food options in Beaverton/Hillsboro if you want to make the drive! read more
When I heard a korean restaurant was opening up, I was excited. Something different for the area that's not thai or vietnamese. When we walked in, the server had mentioned that we just missed the afternoon rush. We got the potstickers, spicy beef & leak soup, & the bulgogi plate. It was nice they they give you alot of banchan to start. Everything is made to order & was very delicious. The portions are pretty large. Ambiance is very nice & modern here. Place is very clean & service was great. As we were dining, we saw several people look at the menu & walk away. Guess they're not familiar with Korean food. Go check it out at least once. Good korean food for vancouver! The portions were BIG, making it a great place to come eat with friends and family. The staff was kind and checked in often with our party of 3. The spicy stir fried squid and pork was flavorful but not that spicy. It was overall a great dish to enjoy with rice and the sides. The rice cakes were sweet and spicy, having an unexpected kick to it. Overall I had a great experience. If i was craving korean food but didn't want to make my usual trip to beaverton for it, this is where I'd go. read more
Clean, standard modern decor. A few TVs playing Kpop for interest. Despite the name, not the ambience for a drinking spot. Banchan ~ fresh, tasty kimchi variation. Gyeran-Jjim ~ served at the perfect time piping hot, soft & pillowy, seasoned right. Tofu Soup ~ too spicy & salty. Asked for mild and it was fire hot. Yuk Gae Jang ~ not recommended. A fermented sour soup base, more like Tom Yum. Overly powered beefy flavor. Service ~ friendly & courteous. One man show so the guy was working all over. Reasonably priced. 5 Stars Sool is legit. If you're into real Korean food, this place absolutely delivers. We got the beef bibimbap, galbi short ribs and the grill mackerel. Everything I ordered was packed with flavor and tasted super authentic. You can tell they put a lot of care into the food. Also, the place is really clean, which I always appreciate. Chill vibe, friendly staff, and just an all-around great spot to eat. I'll definitely be back--might even make it a regular thing. read more
