Great meal at a convenient spot! My husband and I visited last weekend and were really pleased with our experience. As far as fast-food adjacent teriyaki places go, I can say that this Ichi Teriyaki location is among my Top 2 preferred choices (right behind the absolutely exceptional Youskyme Teriyaki near Mill Plain and 205). Other Ichi's I have frequented have not upheld the standard of excellence that the 192nd location has established, in my experience. First and foremost, the free egg flour soup provided with any dine-in meal (pre-pandemic shutdown, of course) is the best I've had at any restaurant, anywhere. I don't know if this is because I haven't had it at enough places, but it is just SO. DAMN. GOOD. Honestly, the soup, almost as much as my favorite entree, is enough to keep bringing me back here! My go-to order is the Mongolian Beef, extra spicy, extra green onions...and what a fabulous order it is! Plenty of kick, robust spiciness and the sweet twinge of the onions is pure magic. I could do without the side salad that comes with most entrees, as I don't feel it adds anything to the experience, but hey, it's there. The interior decor is similar to your typical mall food court: plain wooden tables and chairs, black and white tile floors, and a smattering of potted plants and vaguely-Asian wall hangings. But you don't come here for the furniture, you come here for good food at decent prices. I've never had to wait more than 5-7 minutes for my order, even during peak times, so big points for being efficient, and the staff have always been welcoming and friendly. The menu prices are a little higher than you'll pay at similar establishments, but the quality just won't be the same. Don't short-change yourself. read more

The huge portions easily feed 2 people making this an excellent bargain for the cost. The Yakisoba, or "Fried Noodle", never disappoints. Covered in a sweet, tangy sticky teriyaki sauce with a shine and gloss. There is plenty of thinly sliced flank steak and deliciously sautéed quartered white mushrooms. It comes with a generous portion of perfectly cooked white rice that is perfect for sopping up any left over teriyaki deliciousness. I highly recommend the yakisoba - they make it in a wok or something of that sort and it makes the flavors way better than any other yakisoba I've tried PLUS the portion is huge! I visited this location today and ordered my usual "Spicy Teriyaki Chicken". As in the case with every single Teriyaki joint I visit. This was one of the most unique Spicy Teriyaki's I've had. It was more salty than sweet, mixed with an assortment of veggies. I added the teriyaki sauce that they included to add a bit of sweetness to it. As different as it is from all of the other typical tasting Spicy Teriyaki dishes I've had over the years, I actually liked it and would rate this place pretty high. The meal was more of a gourmet looking dish than a quick take out. I will definitely be back to try some other dishes while I'm here. read more

Came in for the first time today and ordered the T5 short ribs, what an amazing experience. The ribs were hands down the best short ribs I've ever had. If I can discribe it in one one word I would use a word average. I ordered combination of chicken and beef teriyaki and it lacked flavor. Chicken was a bid dry and had no sauce. I had to pour teriyaki sauce and Sriracha over it. Beef was a little better, but also lacked the sauce. "Green salad" was just pieces of lettuce without dressing (or a minimum amount of it). Good old teriyaki, this is not a high-end cuisine, but it satisfies in time of big hunger and does not break the bank. Portions are large. Before and after COVID for this place is light day and night. I used to love coming here as you get free soup with the purchase of a meal. After COVID they completely took this away and the quality of the food has definitely gone down. Whenever I'm in Camas or Vancouver I stop at either Ichi #19 or #20. These are my favorite Ichi Teriyaki restaurants. I'm always happy and full after my visit. I've read a number of bad reviews on here regarding #19 and I don't think they were made by legitimate customers. One person said that #19 were penny pinchers... If that's so how come they are so willing to give us free soup with our meal, or in my case, a substitute for an item I don't necessarily like? I have never experienced penny pinching nor have I ever gotten I'll after eating there. I always order one of 3 items, but hands down the chicken katsu is my all time favorite. Gross nowadays. Used to be really good but over the last year it's gone severely downhill. I couldn't eat my Kung pao chicken it was so dry and hard like jerky. Actually, jerky tastes better than this. Even my boys couldn't finish their sweet and sour chicken or spicy chicken. Maybe it's their chicken... Sad, used to really like this place. I called in for a take out order, and as promised, 20 minutes later, the food was ready for me. The place was very busy, with a line of customers waiting to pay/take out. The owner was very efficient, not to mention had an eye for detail. I had asked for less rice and more salad, and she added extra dressing, little thoughtful things like this makes me return. I had the Pork, Beef and Chicken combo, my husband had the Chicken, Pork and Gyoza combo. The marinade was very good, flavorful, and the meat were moist, not dry. Shrimp fried rice. Nothing special your typical fried rice. After eating i started to get a headache which lasted into the night. Not sure why. Perhaps msg. They dont offer miso soup...:( :( And any kind of vegetable plate all come with tofu. And from the photos on the wall for vegetable they mean just some broccoli and carrot. And looks like they dont give that many vegetables at all. I was suprised they dont have teriyaki salmon or ahi tuna. Which is typical for a japanses teriyaki restaurant. Also its a bit pricey for what is a teriyaki shop. I will say the ladies at the counter were very sweet. And accomodating; when we asked for chilli peppers in our fried rice. This is the 6th or 7th teriyaki restaurant ive been to in Portland/Vancouver. And i cant seem to find a place that is as good as my favorite Japanese Teriyaki/ shops in Phoenix.. I have been to several Ichi locations and this particular one has complimentary egg drop soup! It is delicious and I wish I could take out some of that amazing soup! Their katsu and spicy chicken are my favorite items! The katsu is perfectly crispy and the katsu sauce is tangy-perfect combination! The spicy chicken adds a kick and some pizazz to teriyaki chicken. The meat is tender and has some bite without being chewy. I will say, I think the portion size is a little smaller than the other locations and definitely way smaller that all the teriyaki places I've gone to near the University of Washington (best places for teriyaki in my opinion haha). We ordered 3 items, the pork teriyaki plate, the chicken katsu, and the korean short rib plate. All three were good with the pork actually being my favorite. The pork was tender and full of flavor. The chicken katsu was nice and crispy without being oily. The short rib was good too but was actually my least favorite of the three this time. The issue was all the orders after mine were coming out the kitchen but mine so I ask and they didn't make my order after 40 minutes I asked for my money back and the owner short changed me .
