Stopped in for lunch around 11:30 on a Tuesday. Not busy, only one person seated in dining room. Dining room is small, but decent size for strip mall location. Young man at counter was friendly and helpful when picking menu items. He suggested the Bibimbap and my husband really enjoyed it. He really liked the flavor of the sauce. I ordered the chicken breast bowl. The chicken had a smoky flavor. Really enjoyed their teriyaki sauce too...not too sweet. I like their salad dressing as well. They also serve egg flower soup to those customers dining in. My only complaint is it took about 25-30 to get our food. During that time, numerous people came in for to-go orders. Seemed like the to-go orders took priority over customers dining in. I heard one customer verbalize how surprised they were that their order was already ready when they were told it would be ready for pick-up in 10 minutes. We had been waiting 20 minutes at our table at that point. Food should really be served in order of orders received...first come, first serve. For that reason we will not be dining in there again. The food is good, so we will opt for a to-go order.

Good portions, always hot and spicy if you want it. I was told to type more. Guess Yelp does not like short and sweet. Who died and left them the review boss?

Beef Yakisoba, spice level 3.

The entire Ichi chain is solid, a go-to lunch spot of ours. Spicy chicken is amazing and comes with sautéed veggies too.

The flavors of the food across the board are so much stronger and complex than literally all other Chinese food restaurants I've ever patronized. Their operating model, though, is confusing. They have a lot of "ready now" entrees pre-made for immediate service (think "Panda Express"), and several others that are made-to-order. The "made to order" seems to be the better choice, as what's in the "ready to go" section may well have been sitting around long enough to get soggy. I know this from firsthand experience when some of my General Tso's chicken was the last of what was premade, and the rest was fresh. Not surprisingly, the fresh portion was hot and crispy (and DELICIOUS), and the portion from the premade batch was soggy and lukewarm. There are two chairs in the interior for patrons, so be prepared to stand while your order is filled. Parking is easy as Mar's is attached to a unique and charming Country store with its own parking lot.

We started with a couple Thai mules which were made with a spicy and delicious ginger beer. For food we ordered the Nem Kai from the house specials menu and, after an enthusiastic endorsement, the drunken noodles. Both dishes were amazing. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were generous. We couldn't finish so we took the leftovers home and enjoyed them the next day. I have been craving that rice dish for the past week since our visit. I will have to go back soon! The servers were attentive and helpful, even though it was closer to closing time than we thought. We sat outside and enjoyed the landscaping on a nice evening. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal and refreshing beverage.

Restaurant was clean. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating options. We were immediately greeted and seated upon entering the restaurant. Staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We ordered a few appetizers to share; coconut shrimp, potstickers, chicken satay and BBQ pork fresh salad rolls. Each appetizer came with an appropriate dipping sauce. The food was good, and tasted fresh. The chicken satay was a bit dry, but the curry flavor was perfect and the peanut dipping sauce helped give it a bit of moisture. I feel like the prices were a bit steep. We only ordered one non-alcoholic beverage and 4 appetizers, and the bill was just shy of $80, with tip. I guess I didn't realize how expensive it was since last time I came for Happy Hour. Overall we were happy with our experience here; however, next time we'll make sure we hit Happy Hour for better pricing. Would recommend.

I've been wanting to try Thai Orchid for a while now. Anytime I ask someone for Thai food…read morerecommendations in Vancouver this place is always brought up! Not just for Thai, but for sushi as well. So it was finally time to dive into our list of recommendations and hit up TO! The space is set up nicely, decor and ambience is definitely there. 4/5 for ambience. Service was a bit slow though, they had my server running between a big party in the back and us in the front. We ended up asking different runners/bussers for things and they got our server for us every time. 2/5 for service. Now onto the good part! Tom Kha Soup 3/5 - 5 spice (spiciest option) which came out pretty quickly. We ordered the rest of our dishes based off the spice of the soup. Soup was not spicy, maybe the tiniest little kick. Definitely felt like a 1 so we ordered the rest of our dishes in a 5 as well. Soup was pretty standard, good flavor. Shrimp were big and bouncy, mussels were plump, squid and scallops were tender. Peek Gai Tod 1/5 - Thai style chicken wings tossed in spicy basil sauce. Chicken was cooked fine but the sauce was utterly disappointing. It looked so sticky and promising but ultimately tasted like unseasoned chicken. There was no indication that this was a spicy basil sauce whatsoever. I even asked my fiancé multiple times what the sauce was supposed to be since he chose this dish but he couldn't tell me either. Pad Ga Prow 2/5 - This is our all time favorite Thai dish so we HAVE to get it whenever we get Thai! This one was a bit disappointing. First off, the color was way off, this was so light! Definitely didn't have that yummy wok charred flavor. Spice isn't consistent here, a 5 on this dish was extreme. I'm a ghost pepper salsa kinda gal but this went past that. Felt like a 7/5 in spice. Gaeng Ped Dang 2/5 - Thai red curry with chicken, eggplant, bell peppers, and bamboo shoots. Ordered a 5 spice on Thai dish and it came out more like a 2. Curry flavor was good, vegetables were way overcooked and pretty mush. I'm not even sure what the spice scale is anymore at this point. Crab Fried Rice 1/5 - There was peas and carrots in the fried rice.. peas and carrots do not belong in fried rice, especially Thai fried rice. Rice was mushy, and crab was disappointing. It was literally so shredded and sewn into the dish that you couldn't really tell if there was crab or not. For $25 give me some actual crab pieces. Fried rice is literally the highest profit margin food on a menu. Spice on this felt like a 3. Thai Tea 4/5 - Wasn't too sweet, best thing I had the entire meal. We probably won't be back. I rate this a very low 2 or a very high 1.
