The flavors of the food across the board are so much stronger and complex than literally all other Chinese food restaurants I've ever patronized. Their operating model, though, is confusing. They have a lot of "ready now" entrees pre-made for immediate service (think "Panda Express"), and several others that are made-to-order. The "made to order" seems to be the better choice, as what's in the "ready to go" section may well have been sitting around long enough to get soggy. I know this from firsthand experience when some of my General Tso's chicken was the last of what was premade, and the rest was fresh. Not surprisingly, the fresh portion was hot and crispy (and DELICIOUS), and the portion from the premade batch was soggy and lukewarm. There are two chairs in the interior for patrons, so be prepared to stand while your order is filled. Parking is easy as Mar's is attached to a unique and charming Country store with its own parking lot.

I think it might have actually been a "2" because it was spicy! I like my food spicy but if you don't, maybe ask for a "0".) Ordering is accomplished at the counter, which is on the left when you enter the front door. When I said I needed some soup for a chilly day, the man who took my order suggested the Veggie Ramen. He then asked if I wanted to add anything to it and I requested chicken, although I got those huge beautiful shrimp. (I'll be asking for those shrimp from now on!) Prices are comparable to or less than any other place these days - veggie ramen soup was $12 and the pot of tea that I got at least 3 mugfuls out of was $2.50. It was literally so shredded and sewn into the dish that you couldn't really tell if there was crab or not. For $25 give me some actual crab pieces. Fried rice is literally the highest profit margin food on a menu. Spice on this felt like a 3. Thai Tea 4/5 - Wasn't too sweet, best thing I had the entire meal. We probably won't be back. I rate this a very low 2 or a very high 1.
