We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. They were busy but we got to sit at the bar. I love that so many items here can be made gluten free. They have gluten free imitation crab, teriyaki sauce, and tempura available...which is not always a thing! And the severs know what's up and will help you make the right choice. Then, because we were at the bar, we got to see/hear the cooks receive and prepare the gf order. This is huge for someone that needs gluten free options. I went with the ninja poke bowl. It had a LOT of spicy mayo, but everything tasted great. I also had the cucumber salad, miso soup, and a cucumber roll. My husband had a bento box. We left totally satisfied and I know I will be back soon. read more

Pretty solid sushi place next to my house! Fish is fresh, good presentation, clean, and friendly staff! Their set lunch menu comes with 2 rolls and you can add soup/salad for a dollar more. Everything tasted great. Portions and quality was good as well. I had no complaints. I think I'll definitely come back for lunch to try the rest of the menu items. read more

We usually come here for sushi, but for some reason we went today maybe an hour after they had opened and something tasted off about the sushi we ordered it didn't taste the same. It just wasn't as fresh. Our calamari was very stringy. The crab salad was an off color as much as we were trying to enjoy. It was not as enjoyable as it usually is. We also had an upset stomach after,Service is excellent though. read more

Sushi Ninja is a local gem for Vancouver. It isn't going to be the fanciest place you've ever been, but it definitely has its charms. The staff are very friendly and proud of their food. Our go to is usually the Master Roll, but we ask for it not to be fried ( it's so much better that way ). They are usually down for any alterations you want to make ( within reason ). Something many Sushi places are opposed to. Their lunch specials run every day and it's an awesome deal for sushi. It's a super casual place, friendly atmosphere, good deals with a flexible menu, what else could you ask for? When I want a sushi lunch that's filling and won't break the bank, this is definitely my go to. Give their lunch specials a try! read more

This restaurant is too good to have so few tables they need to expand . I only rate a 4 because the wait is sooo long for dinner. We went in a Thurs night and it was still a long wait plus their system is disorganized ppl getting called that came in after other ppl. The sushi is very tasty and fresh, we love the options/variety as well. read more

Stopped in for the first time and enjoyed my experience. It wasn't too busy on a weekday evening so was seated quickly. Ordered a miso soup and sushi appetizer which was chefs choice of fish. The fish all tasted really fresh. The salmon was my favorite, very tender. The prices did seem quite a bit higher than other sushi places in town that seem equally as good quality in my experience. Woukd stop in again for a quick bite though. read more

Came back here for dinner again. This time on a Thursday night, it was busy and there was a wait. We came on a Wednesday last time and there was no wait and not many people dining for dinner. We had a large group, so we waited a bit for a booth. When we got seated, the waitress's came to get our order after about 5 minutes. The food took some time to come out, but everything came out all at once. We did make a big order and it was busy too. I really enjoy their nigiri in particular the salmon belly and the seared salmon. It's my favorite since the first time I tried it here. The flying fish roe nigiri and unagi were good too. We ordered a bunch of different sushi rolls such as the classic spider roll, then a makin it rain roll, some dragon roll, shrimp rolls and some others. We also ordered a sashimi combo - which was delicious. All the sashimi tasted fresh and we really liked their salmon and white tuna. The regular tuna was good too, very meaty. We also got the calamari and takoyaki again (not pictured), very good and freshly made to order. Service is decent, they check on you for water refills but rest of the time you're enjoying your meal. There's good amount of parking here too. Since our last visit, it looks like they added a little camera to take some photos, which is really cute. Likely I missed this the last time we went. Overall, will definitely come back here again and probably my favorite sushi spot in Vancouver. read more

When ever I have family in town and they ask me where the best sushi places I always say sushi ninja. With a happy hour specials, you can get a lot of sushi for a great price on top of that. This place is pretty legit!!! The sushi is fresh and the portions are pretty good size too. The service is good and it does not take too much time to get your food after you order it. This is my reward for going and doing chair yoga. I brought all my people today. Oh, my goodness, the mass of food! 3 of us got the sushi lunch special. 6 huge rolls so lots to share. Wonderful miso soup and I love the cucumber salad. The yakisoba was great. My partner said the katsu Bechicken was good (she'd never had it so I'm not sure how it compares for people who love it, but everything else is good so I believe it it.) We also got tempura to share, it was crispy and perfect. The highlight of the meal was Matthew. He was so helpful. My friend is on an elimination diet. He shared his knowledge freely, making suggestions of changes to fit her diet. Service the rest of the meal was prompt and friendly. This is such a great value for awesome food and service. read more

Truly delicious. If you come here and they have a yellowtail collar on the menu (Hamachi kama), I strongly recommend it. Nigiri portions are very large, so be prepared for some big bites. What a cute place. Very good food, pics of everything, so you know what to expect and prices are good. Music is a bit loud, but no big deal. Very clean, and very cool decor. Went for lunch and got way too much tempura, some nigiri and a tiny roll, which I love that they have options for folks that don't want a big roll. Wish they had a bit more hot food options and maybe less rolls, like we're talking Cheesecake Factory numbers here, lol. Service is fast friendly and totally feel good about everything here, and the dishes (plates and such) are very good quality and add a really nice touch to your meal. read more

This place was so much better then expected. At first glance it looked like a regular sushi place no different from any other but as we tried their food it was delightful. Not only does the fish taste fresh, their unique sparkling water was so good! I would even go back for their drinks. Our server was so nice and attentive and I love how they don't watch you like an eagle so I was able to enjoy my meal without being bothered every minute. The restaurant was nice and small. Super clean and still was able to look classy. The cutest thing was that near the entrance, they had a polo round camera and sticky notes for customers to interact with and leave pictures. The Wife and I have watched restaurants come and go in this location; we have tried them all. This is the first one we believe will be here for the foreseeable future. When you walk in, the place is very modern looking, with options for a seat at a counter or tables. The menu is varied between all kinds of sushi, soups, bento boxes, tempura, appetizers and salads. Over the last few visits, we have tried all manner of sushi rolls, and The Wife loves their miso soup. I love the egg flower soup too. But it was when we started ordering the bento boxes that we found our go to. Of course, we add a California Roll to the order, they make an insanely good CA roll. Service is so spot on here! Friendly, quick, patient and never a wrong item brought. You really feel like they enjoy having you here. Sometimes there is a wait involved, we've never been waiting more than 10 minutes, but it could be more, and we would patiently wait. This place is worth it. It ain't no conveyor belt place! read more

Love this place, been there twice, happy both times. Service is great, food is outstanding, very fresh.

I have been here several times over the past year and every time the food was great. I usually come for the lunch special and order an appetizer and an additional roll. All of the rolls I have ordered from the special have been fantastic and I am in love with their rainbow roll. The service has been good as well, the staff always seem to be friendly and attentive. The ambiance is cute with many anime/Japanese-esque decorations throughout. It is a little small, so may not be best for large gatherings but it is nice and clean. read more

As always, the quality if the food met & exceeded expectations. Becoming a go-to for my sushi cravings.

Spicy Chicken- There is a lot that is wrong with this dish. Hence this review. 1. Marinade on the chicken was not good. Felt like there was zero effort. No depth of flavor. 2. Size of chicken, onions, and jalapeno(not sure). It was all roughly chopped. I could not get a bite of all of these at once because they were way too BIG. Thus If any depth of flavor was to happen when I had a bite consisting of these three ingredients- there was 0 chance of that. I could maybe cut it down myself, but I should not have to do that. 3. Cooking - The onions were partially raw. The chicken was cooked but the coating was slimy??? 4. The plating/assembly - they placed the "salad" in the same container as the hot food. Lets keep food that are meant to be enjoyed at different temperatures in different containers. 5. The jalapenos???Why so many and why are they so big??! Again, I really disliked the cutting of veggies and chicken. But the jalapenos- if that is what makes this meal a spicy chicken...find a way to allow me to savor the spice with other ingredients . But at this size i was either eating a jalapeno alone or chicken on its own. And when I had the chicken on its own it was not spicy. Service- my husband picked up this order to go. He was seated waiting for order observing to go containers on the counter. When he was called up to get his order he noticed that his order had been sitting there on the counter the whole time he was there. Ambiance- its okay. Ive eaten their sushi at the restaurant before. Which I also disliked. But the ambiance was okay. In conclusion, I wanted to give this place a shot even after I had their sushi and did not like it. And now I know I don't like their food at all. Wont be eating here again. t read more

I was on business in Vancouver this week and chose to order a couple rolls for pick-up. The online app is simple to use and works great. When I arrived to pickup my order, the person working at the front counter was greeted me immediately and was extremely Kind and friendly. My order was ready within 20 minutes of placing the order. When I got back to my hotel room and removed my tray of sushi, it was in perfect condition, like you would experience when dining in. Their packaging is ideal and will ensure your food arrives intact. The rolls that I chose were large in size and generous with fish portions. The fish was really fresh and of high quality. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely return to try more rolls, the next time I am in town! read more

I saw a few posts on Instagram about this spot and had to try it. It was a cute spot in a plaza and a little busy on the week night that we went. Nevertheless, the food was tasty, we definitely ordered a little too many for the two of us. Our favorite was the salmon lovers roll, it was just so perfect, the seared salmon and the spicy mayo and eel sauce. The dragon was also really tasty. I think the master and vegas rolls were good but we didn't love them. Next time we might get two salmon lovers since it was just that tasty. We also got the egg drop soup and it was alright, not sure if we would get again. Definitely a solid spot and we'll be back! In a plaza, so even when it got busy you could park further away so not worries here. read more

Excited to have another sushi spot down the street! Cute ambiance and I love the bar top seating area. They have a huge touchscreen where you can order sushi to go as well. The front area needs a little love. Awkwardly open. There are 2 booths and a few tables! We had the White Peach Sake which tasted good - so I s try something new next time. Edamame came out perfectly and hot. I love the ambiance at the tables - place mats, cute set of dishes, saucer, and soy sauce dispenser - and cushions for your back if your sitting on the window side. We tried the Tiger Roll, Fireworks Roll, Sushi Lovers + Salmon Lovers roll. Plenty for 3 people! All the ingredients were fresh - and I liked the Fireworks Roll the most - probably because I love jalapeño! I wasn't blown away by any of the rolls - but I definitely think this could be a solid 4 / Stella's just gotta find her groove! read more

This sushi is the best I've had in awhile! Got veggie sushi and it was very fresh and great taste!

I ordered the Ninja Sushi Sampler and paid $38, but what I received was incomplete. The sampler is supposed to include several types of sushi rolls and sashimi, along with spring rolls, seaweed salad, and miso soup. While I did receive the salad and soup, most of the sushi items were missing. There were no spring rolls, no blackened tuna sashimi, and far fewer sushi rolls than advertised. I attached photos showing what I ordered versus what I actually received. This was very disappointing and feels dishonest. I will not be ordering from here again. read more

I wanted to try a new sushi place and I saw that there was a new sushi joint that just opened not too long ago and wanted to give it a try. Let me tell ya, THIS SHII BUSSSIN! I'm gonna be a regular for sure. I got the Tiger roll (8pcs), Lady Dragon roll (8pcs) and Sexy Dragon roll (8pcs). I love how big the pieces are and how saucy it was. Surprisingly Great Sushi for a Chain! I don't usually review chain restaurants, but Sushi Ninja deserves a shoutout--especially since it's the closest sushi bar to our house and consistently impresses me. I'm a huge fan of their Dragon Roll, and overall, they do a great job with their sushi. It never feels like bargain sushi or something you'd grab from a grocery store. Everything tastes fresh, high-quality, and well-prepared, which isn't always the case with chain sushi spots. What really sets this location apart, though, is the staff. They are absolutely incredible--attentive, friendly, and on top of every detail. Even on the busiest nights, they make sure nothing gets overlooked, which makes for a consistently great experience. Another bonus? Their online ordering system comes with great perks, making it even more worthwhile to order ahead. For a convenient, reliable sushi fix that doesn't compromise on quality, Sushi Ninja is a solid choice. read more
