Our go to is usually the Master Roll, but we ask for it not to be fried ( it's so much better that way ). They are usually down for any alterations you want to make ( within reason ). Something many Sushi places are opposed to. Their lunch specials run every day and it's an awesome deal for sushi. Came back here for dinner again. This time on a Thursday night, it was busy and there was a wait. We came on a Wednesday last time and there was no wait and not many people dining for dinner. We had a large group, so we waited a bit for a booth. When we got seated, the waitress's came to get our order after about 5 minutes. The food took some time to come out, but everything came out all at once. We did make a big order and it was busy too. I really enjoy their nigiri in particular the salmon belly and the seared salmon. It's my favorite since the first time I tried it here. The flying fish roe nigiri and unagi were good too. We ordered a bunch of different sushi rolls such as the classic spider roll, then a makin it rain roll, some dragon roll, shrimp rolls and some others. We also ordered a sashimi combo - which was delicious. All the sashimi tasted fresh and we really liked their salmon and white tuna. The regular tuna was good too, very meaty. We also got the calamari and takoyaki again (not pictured), very good and freshly made to order. Service is decent, they check on you for water refills but rest of the time you're enjoying your meal. There's good amount of parking here too. Since our last visit, it looks like they added a little camera to take some photos, which is really cute. Likely I missed this the last time we went. Overall, will definitely come back here again and probably my favorite sushi spot in Vancouver. read more

Truly delicious. If you come here and they have a yellowtail collar on the menu (Hamachi kama), I strongly recommend it. Nigiri portions are very large, so be prepared for some big bites. This is my reward for going and doing chair yoga. I brought all my people today. Oh, my goodness, the mass of food! 3 of us got the sushi lunch special. 6 huge rolls so lots to share. Wonderful miso soup and I love the cucumber salad. The yakisoba was great. My partner said the katsu Bechicken was good (she'd never had it so I'm not sure how it compares for people who love it, but everything else is good so I believe it it.) We also got tempura to share, it was crispy and perfect. The highlight of the meal was Matthew. He was so helpful. My friend is on an elimination diet. He shared his knowledge freely, making suggestions of changes to fit her diet. Service the rest of the meal was prompt and friendly. Went for lunch and got way too much tempura, some nigiri and a tiny roll, which I love that they have options for folks that don't want a big roll. I have been here several times over the past year and every time the food was great. I usually come for the lunch special and order an appetizer and an additional roll. All of the rolls I have ordered from the special have been fantastic and I am in love with their rainbow roll. The service has been good as well, the staff always seem to be friendly and attentive. This place was so much better then expected. At first glance it looked like a regular sushi place no different from any other but as we tried their food it was delightful. Not only does the fish taste fresh, their unique sparkling water was so good! I would even go back for their drinks. Our server was so nice and attentive and I love how they don't watch you like an eagle so I was able to enjoy my meal without being bothered every minute. The restaurant was nice and small. Spicy Chicken- There is a lot that is wrong with this dish. Hence this review. 1. Marinade on the chicken was not good. Felt like there was zero effort. No depth of flavor. 2. Size of chicken, onions, and jalapeno(not sure). It was all roughly chopped. I could not get a bite of all of these at once because they were way too BIG. Thus If any depth of flavor was to happen when I had a bite consisting of these three ingredients- there was 0 chance of that. I could maybe cut it down myself, but I should not have to do that. 3. Cooking - The onions were partially raw. The chicken was cooked but the coating was slimy??? 4. The plating/assembly - they placed the "salad" in the same container as the hot food. Lets keep food that are meant to be enjoyed at different temperatures in different containers. 5. The jalapenos???Why so many and why are they so big??! Again, I really disliked the cutting of veggies and chicken. But the jalapenos- if that is what makes this meal a spicy chicken...find a way to allow me to savor the spice with other ingredients . But at this size i was either eating a jalapeno alone or chicken on its own. And when I had the chicken on its own it was not spicy. Service- my husband picked up this order to go. He was seated waiting for order observing to go containers on the counter. When he was called up to get his order he noticed that his order had been sitting there on the counter the whole time he was there. Ambiance- its okay. Ive eaten their sushi at the restaurant before. Which I also disliked. But the ambiance was okay. In conclusion, I wanted to give this place a shot even after I had their sushi and did not like it. And now I know I don't like their food at all. The Wife and I have watched restaurants come and go in this location; we have tried them all. This is the first one we believe will be here for the foreseeable future. When you walk in, the place is very modern looking, with options for a seat at a counter or tables. The menu is varied between all kinds of sushi, soups, bento boxes, tempura, appetizers and salads. Over the last few visits, we have tried all manner of sushi rolls, and The Wife loves their miso soup. I love the egg flower soup too. But it was when we started ordering the bento boxes that we found our go to. Of course, we add a California Roll to the order, they make an insanely good CA roll. Service is so spot on here! Friendly, quick, patient and never a wrong item brought. You really feel like they enjoy having you here. Sometimes there is a wait involved, we've never been waiting more than 10 minutes, but it could be more, and we would patiently wait. This place is worth it. I was on business in Vancouver this week and chose to order a couple rolls for pick-up. The online app is simple to use and works great. When I arrived to pickup my order, the person working at the front counter was greeted me immediately and was extremely Kind and friendly. My order was ready within 20 minutes of placing the order. When I got back to my hotel room and removed my tray of sushi, it was in perfect condition, like you would experience when dining in. Their packaging is ideal and will ensure your food arrives intact. The rolls that I chose were large in size and generous with fish portions. The fish was really fresh and of high quality. I saw a few posts on Instagram about this spot and had to try it. It was a cute spot in a plaza and a little busy on the week night that we went. Nevertheless, the food was tasty, we definitely ordered a little too many for the two of us. Our favorite was the salmon lovers roll, it was just so perfect, the seared salmon and the spicy mayo and eel sauce. The dragon was also really tasty. I think the master and vegas rolls were good but we didn't love them. Next time we might get two salmon lovers since it was just that tasty.
