Vegetable Tempura . Miso soup that came with Bento Box.

Out to lunch and ready for some sushi. We found this quaint restaurant tucked at the end of a strip mall with busy shoppers. We were greeted and guided to the last open table. So this place was packed at 12:30p.m. A good sign! Waitress was very nice, and took our drink and appetizer order. We had the Mixed Vegetable Tempura. An unexpected large plate of Prawns and Vegetables fried with Tempura. Absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Asparagus Sushi Roll in Soy paper. he said it was pretty good. I ordered the Bento Box Teriyaki Chicken with a California Roll. The tray was very big and filling, I had to take home leftovers. just so much food. Excellent tray, I would order again, but to share, it's that big. At the last minute I saw that one of the specials was Lumpia. I had to try. A little thin on the size, but it was tasty. If you're in Vancouver by the Mall, look up Oishi Sushi, it's near TJMaxx area. And if you're going for lunch, go around 1 p.m. less of a crowd.

Located near Vancouver Mall. Small little restaurant wi tbh friendly staff. No one else was in restaurant when we went around 5-6pm. The sushi was delicious! Spider roll was my favorite!

Went for lunch and delightfully missed the full lunch rush. Looks like they have catering options that includes their sushi. We tried their jalapeño bombs for an appetizer and one of their deep fried specialty rolls. Both were delicious. The roll had many flavors inside, including something sweet that wasn't cream cheese, but the flavors were good. My bf had the spicy chicken and I had some yakisoba that was good as a leftover.

During lunch time, they have a kids teriyaki bowl that will fill you up. I would recommend the pork. It has the most flavor and moisture out of chicken and beef. I tried something new and it was the poke bowl. I was not impressed with the poke bowl and wished I got the usual which is a teriyaki bowl. Other places I have been too usually have their poke marinated with different sauces for more flavor. Without any soy sauce, there isn't much flavor although adding soy sauce doesn't do much. Service and prices were reasonable. I've had sushi here from a long time ago but I thought it was mediocre. I would only come here for the teriyaki bowls again.

Oishi Sushi is a solid establishment, a bit pricey, and with smallish portion sizes. Flavors are good, and the food is very fresh. We opted for take-out instead of dining in during the COVID-19 pandemic precautions. Staff wore masks and gloves, with the exception of the sushi chef, who wore neither. This was very unexpected and seemed rather unprofessional, but no harm resulted from it.

We got crunch, rainbow. Mexican and snow crab rolls. So good.

Update: We came back in again today for some more sushi. It was so good and fresh. I loves it and think I am hooked. We brought it home with us due to covid. So good. I will be back for sure. We called in here and got some sushi to go. The lady was really nice on the phone. She told me she would bring the food out to our vehicle and asked what kind color truck I drove. She said it would be ready in 15 minutes and it was. She brought it out the the truck for us. We paid outside with our credit card and we were back on the road. We got the couch roll, spider roll, Mexican roll and they were all delicious. I like that they gave us plenty of wasabi and ginger. They have big portions too and very fresh. I will be back again.

Sushi for brunch and Oishi always satisfies my cravings. It is a treat considering it is one of the few authentic sushi restaurants around Vancouver, WA. Comforting and delightful vibes all around. The nigiri was fresh, mild and carefully prepared. Delicious overall. I loved the Tuna and Salmon nigiri the most. I also really enjoy the seaweed salad here because they use the stringy version. The staff is always exceptional. The server remembered everything on my order and didn't have to write it down. The service was fast and timely. The head chef is also a great person. Covid guidelines are up to date.

Very underrated business: has excellent food for wonderful prices, but when we went there, we found it nearly empty. We stopped by for a quick pit stop, and got refilled with a full experience. Lots of great quality food, definitely would come again on my next road trip by Portland.

Little sushi spot across from the Vancouver Mall was great! Loved their spider crab appetizer. We ordered 3 various rolls to try and I enjoyed them all. My favorite was the baked scallop.

Mmm I love their poke bowl here ! Good size and I always appreciate when they serve a good amount of fish. I've ordered other rolls as well and havnt been disappointed. Everything is pretty well priced. Fish has always been fresh in my experience. The servers are always really nice. Interior here is a smaller. casual place that's a part of an outdoor plaza. I wouldn't say this is 'high end ' as far as fish goes but great for a casual eat with still good quality fish

We finally tried this place and glad that we did. Sushi was very good and freshly made. The bento box #1 was good too. My husband enjoyed it. The calamari was just ok. Not a fan. It was an American calamari with tar tar sauce not the traditional Asian style calamari. The place was clean and organized. Service was fast and the staff was attentive. This will be my go to sushi place for now on. Highly recommended if you like fast, fresh and yummy sushi!

I've been trying sushi within the area and this is my favorite restaurant so far. As soon as we stepped in around 4pm on a Saturday, we were greeted and seated right away. We only ordered sushi, but they have many other options for those not a fan of sushi. Honestly, I'm use to waiting for sushi to be made when a restaurant has multiple types of food on the menu, but we got our sushi made around 5 minutes. And everything was so fresh!! Amazed by the time and super happy with the food lol The service is great. Each person that stopped by our table were super nice and efficient. I would say we got seated, ordered, received our food, ate and checked out under 25 minutes. My partner and I love dining in restaurants, but we also love when we can be in and out. This isn't very common in non-conveyor belt restaurants. The restaurant itself is Japanese themed and feels authentic. It's a smaller restaurant but they have a covered patio to seat more guests. Overall, I was super impressed and can see why their ratings are so high. I hope to be back soon.

A Sushi-Fueled Saturday Success!…read more We walked in on a chill Saturday afternoon--party of four--and scored front-row parking like sushi royalty. No wait, no fuss. Service? Super speedy and genuinely kind. A+ hospitality. Let's talk food (aka the stars of the show): Caterpillar Roll - Fresh, light, and beautifully presented. The kind of roll that makes you feel like you're eating healthy... even if you follow it with fried gyoza. Spider Roll - Crispy? Yes. Flavorful? Yes. But the flavors blended into each other a bit too much--more "symphony" than "solo act." Still enjoyable, just not a standout. Clam Miso Soup - A delightful surprise! Big, juicy clams swimming in a savory miso bath. A must-try if you're into seafood. Regular Miso Soup - Classic, comforting, no complaints. Fried Gyoza - Golden, crispy, and flavorful. Honestly, I could eat a whole plate solo and call it a day. Shrimp Tempura - Massive, crunchy, and satisfying. You'll want to share... but you won't want to. Seahawk Roll (aka Volcano Roll?) - Came in HOT (temperature-wise and vibe-wise). Bold flavors and satisfying heat. Crunch Munch Roll - Smoked salmon + shrimp = interesting combo. Tasty, but the smoked salmon kind of hogged the spotlight. Final thoughts: Everything looked great, tasted fresh, and came out quickly. A few rolls were more memorable than others, but overall it was a win. We'd definitely return for another round--especially that clam miso soup and shrimp tempura!

The Godzilla roll definitely lives up to its name, it's huge. I'm not usually someone who prefers fried sushi, but this one was actually pretty good: crispy on the outside, flavorful, and filling enough to share. I was also pleasantly surprised by the mango roll. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but the sweetness worked really well and made it feel lighter and more refreshing than I anticipated. The White Tiger roll was another favorite! yummy, well-balanced, and easy to enjoy. One small thing I wish they did differently is I would love to see separate servings of ginger for each roll. Sometimes when you order multiple rolls, the ginger gets squished into one tiny container and split between three rolls, which isn't ideal if you like to cleanse your palate between bites. Also wish they had more raw options than just crab options. Overall, the sushi is good, portions are generous, and it's a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy a meal. A solid option if you're in Vancouver and in the mood for a quick bite of sushi.

The downtown places can be hit-or-miss so we thought we'd try something new. We stumbled upon Hokkaido on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Greeted immediately, friendly staff, nice ambiance, no complaints there. 4-stars simply comes from the lack of a bar. Good sushi deserves a good martini. That part was super disappointing for me. The Tempura Veggies, Tempura Shrimp, and Sushi was all lovely. Freshly cooked / prepared and served promptly. Price was on-point and the overall experience was great.
