Chicken katsu and chicken teriyaki combo plate with all fried rice
    Tessa R.

Very clean store and friendly service. I ordered the chicken katsu and chicken teriyaki combo plate and upgraded to all fried rice. I think it was like $3 extra. I thought the fried rice was really good and made fresh. My kids loved it too. The chicken katsu is too thin. They need to use a different meat and panko breadcrumbs as well as upgrade the frying oil. Good frying oil is a key ingredient as it becomes apart of the flavor of the dish. Chicken teriyaki was okay. *** They give you free egg drop soup while you wait for your food. I thought that was a nice touch and helped myself to a bowl. Overall I was pleased with the experience and will be back again.

Really good food, service and ambience! Their sauces for both the katsu and spring rolls were amazing!! Highly recommend! (Notice the portion size, and I ordered katsu off the kids menu )

I decided to try something new from Ichi 30, and I was slightly disappointed. I usually get chicken teriyaki, but this time i got chicken pad thai. The noodles themselves are fine, i wouldn't say the sauce they use is the best pad thai sauce i've ever had, but it's fine. My issue is with the chicken. They use the same chicken that they use in their chicken teriyaki. It just feels too large, and has a burnt, grilled flavor to it. It's not bad, it's just not what i expected from a pad thai. I would not recommend getting pad thai from this location, it's underwhelming, especially for the price ($18 and some change).

It has been open for less than a year at their only Oregon location here at Hillsboro. On our last day in Portland, my wife, her mom, and I stopped in for fried chicken on our way to the airport. We were all jolly when we left. I've really come to appreciate the consistency of Jollibee's chicken fried chicken. Unlike some of their competitor's, where the chicken breading might be coming off because it has been sitting under a heat lamp too long, their chickenjoy breading is crispy and their meat juicy. All of us had already eaten breakfast at the hotel we had been staying at, so weren't particularly hungry. Thus, just got a 3 pc Cjoy combo meal ($18.49, no tax) with 3 pieces of spicy, dark meat chicken (2 drums, one thigh), a biscuit (fluffy and tasty), two sides (mash potatoes and fries) and fountain drink. It also comes with a cup of brown gravy, meant to be used as dip for the fried chicken. Brown gravy with fried chicken has become something I seek out now. The fries are very similar to McDonald's and the mashed potatoes to KFC. In both cases, that is a good thing. I got a pager and it went off about 10 minutes afterwards, so got up to bring the chicken back. They have a self serve soda fountain. It is expensive though for a fast food chain, with no value-type menu available yet. Fil-Ams are loyal to this chain, and seem to be OK with the slightly higher price. It will be interesting if they ever choose to expand, what they would do to draw in non-Filipinos.

Also, I asked for the half-and-half, but for some reason got all original wings, which was still really good but the spicy as far superior so I was a little disappointed. On top of that, my order was 15 minutes later when I got a text to pick up my order cause it was ready.

They have two ordering kiosks when you walk in, but since it wasn't busy, the girl behind the counter took our order. She wasn't super friendly, but helpful while ordering. We decided on the Chicken Bop and Beef Noodle Bop. We ended up ordering the large size since the regular one looked pretty small. You definitely get a lot of food for the $16 price tag, but I'm not sure about the quality, preparation, and freshness. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was lukewarm. The chicken was kinda mushy, which was a big texture issue for me. The teriyaki sauce was yummy. The fried rice was just okay. Liked the cabbage in the bowl. The mac salad was good. The edamame was served cold, which I didn't like. I love edamame, but have never been served it cold. My husband's beef was good. He ordered the kimchi and calamari salad. He said his was good, but not good enough for a return visit. The have everything set up well inside so you can fend for yourself. You order at the counter, go pick up your food at the counter, and clean off your table and place everything at the garbage station, where they also have lids available for your bowls if you're taking some home. After we grabbed our food, there wasn't one person in the dining room asking if everything was good or if we needed anything. After writing all this, it makes me wonder why they asked for a tip at the counter when ordering. A tip for what?! I did everything myself. Hmmmm, makes me more apprehensive on leaving tips until after my meal going forward. Tipping is so outrageous nowadays... Overall a decent experience. The food was just okay. For a mediocre meal, not sure we'll be returning. There are so many other options in the area.

WOW! That is the only word I could start with, and I will explain why…read more I recently learned that Top Bop originally started in Alaska, where it is already quite popular. It finally opened its first Washington state location a few months ago. This new location is in Vancouver, Washington. It is a bit of a drive from the Seattle area but much closer if you are coming from Portland. Still, no matter where you're coming from, it's absolutely worth the trip! Top Bop is located in the Hazel Dell area of Vancouver, in a modern and well-kept building with plenty of free parking. The interior is very clean and welcoming, with interesting artwork on the walls. There are two self-service kiosks where you can browse the full menu with pictures and place your order without needing to talk to a staff member. It might feel unfamiliar at first, but once you try it, you will see how simple and convenient it is. I personally enjoy using the kiosk because it clearly shows all the customization options and makes the ordering process smooth and easy. Okay, let's talk about the food. As you can see from the photos I took, Top Bop uses a build-your-own-bowl format. It is similar to how Chipotle works. You start by picking your protein. Then you choose two free toppings. Next, you select your desired spice level for the sauce. Finally, you can add optional extras to your bowl. As a poke lover, I chose poke for my protein. They offer both salmon and tuna. I could not decide which one to go with, so the friendly staff allowed me to do half salmon and half tuna. Perfect! My friend almost chose the Beef Bop (because, let's be honest, you can't go wrong with Korean bulgogi), but ended up getting the Shrimp Katsu Bop instead. Let's save the Beef Bop for next time. Once we placed our orders, it took about 7 minutes for the food to be ready. Everything is made fresh to order and fully customizable. The portion size was very generous. One bowl could easily be enough for both lunch and dinner. Now back to the WOW. The taste was outstanding. I got the poke bowl with two free toppings for only fourteen dollars. That is incredibly rare in today's market. The bowl was packed with fresh salmon and tuna. I could really taste the quality and quantity of the fish. I chose calamari salad and seaweed salad for my toppings, and they paired perfectly with the poke. The signature sauce at Top Bop is another highlight. I selected Level 3, as recommended, and it elevated the entire bowl to the next level. I also tried a couple of bites of the Shrimp Katsu. It was crispy and flavorful. From the menu variety, to the prices, to the taste, Top Bop truly delivers on every level. It is my number one pick for a restaurant this year so far. I genuinely hope they open a location in Seattle or Bellevue soon so I can visit more often. I will definitely come back soon to try the Beef Bop, Spicy Pork Bop, and of course, another bowl of Poke!

I know....I'm just as shocked by a five-star review of a restaurant attached to a major chain…read moreconvenience store as most of you may be, but this place is seriously FANTASTIC. If you're not in the know, "Krispy Krunchy Chicken" is a Cajun chicken restaurant literally attached to (it's part of) a Circle K convenience store. It even has a drive-through window. After spending an entire day tearing out my kitchen and dining room floors and baseboards, I was VERY tired and didn't want to cook, so I looked for something nearby that was hopefully quick and cheap, and I recalled driving by this location recently. With very low expectations, I drove here. I was very appreciative to hear, "Welcome to Krispy Krunchy Chicken, what can I get started for you", and to discover that it was spoken by a real person (Britt - she is absolutely awesome) and not one of those prerecorded greetings to which one's response usually results in a ponderance of "Is this place even open" while waiting for a response. I responded that this was our first time visiting, and that I was perusing the menu. She very enthusiastically and happily said, "You have to get a sample first! You can't order until you know what you'll be getting, so come on up to the window to get a sample! You HAVE to get a sample first". She was SO friendly and excited, which I sincerely appreciated. When I arrived at the window, the same employee handed me a cardboard boat with two ENTIRE Cajun tenders, that were piping hot (this is as generous a sample as one could possibly hope for). As I and my son enjoyed our samples, she explained menu items, and a bit about the restaurant. Her enthusiasm and friendliness was off-the-charts high, seriously setting the benchmark for what defines amazing service. She said that I could call ahead for any order at all, and that they can also do large orders, and that everything you order when you call ahead would be prepared fresh on the spot. Her advice on how much to order based on my answers to her questions such as how many people I'm feeding, what kind of variety we wanted, etc. was outstanding. I cannot state enough how epically awesome Britt's service was. I've not received this kind of enthusiasm, professionalism, and expert guidance from many super high-dollar establishments. The service here alone is worth five stars. How's the food, though? In a word, it's great! The chicken tenders are super flavorful and juicy. The "fries" are potato wedges, and they're perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Even though the flavors are Cajun, they're NOT spicy at all. The chicken is far better than any of the other big chains. The sides are also a notch above their competition. Particularly noteworthy is the jambalaya...it has a far greater depth of flavor than one would expect. The prices are unbelievably low, especially if you opt for a family meal. The portion sizes are also gargantuan. I'm seriously blown away by how great Krispy Krunchy Chicken is. The service alone makes a visit worthwhile. The only very minor inconvenience is that getting into and out of this location can be challenging. It is at an intersection. with concrete medians that prevent access from two sides of the streets, and traffic backs up pretty heavily on the sides which can access the building. This can make for some heavy delays getting into and out of this location.
