Incredible food, friendly and quick service! Saw this place while driving by and had to try it. If this place was closer to my house, I'd be here once a week! It's clean and beautifully decorated to be warm and inspirational. I had two flavors of fried chicken, veggie fried rice, a side of corn slaw, kimchi, and even got some pickled radish for free! I was thisclose to ordering the radish, and she must have read my mind after I decided all that food would be enough.

Boneless Yang Yum Fried Chicken - SO good!!!

Update... because several years later this chicken still slaps! We get cravings for it every once in a while and every time we get it, it is delicious and so well cooked. We mostly go for the boneless yangyum chicken which is our favorite. Fresh, hot, saucy, but still cripsy! I love rice and the rice is cooked well. The kimchi is quite good and has a really nice spice to it! We always have great service and everyone is so kind. I have never eaten there in person, I always get it to go, but they do have some tables to eat inside. It's a cute little spot with great food.

Yang yum and soy garlic KFC. DELICIOUS.

First of all, craving for KFC satisfied. Been looking for somewhere close to Vancouver and this DID NOT disappoint. FOOD: We ordered the large bone in chicken in Yang Yum and Soy Garlic. If you order large, the you can split into 2 flavours. So juicy and crunchy at the same time and oh so fresh. Really enjoyed the flavours! They even have boneless options. Large enough portions for two of us. Comes with one large side (if you order a large chicken) so we ordered the corn slaw which was super refreshing and not heavy at all. Also ordered sides of rice and the pickled radishes which are tart and cut through the sweetness of the chicken. SERVICE: A super kind woman at the register who was patient with us and explained the menu and how to order. She was prompt, brought us our food quickly, gave us waters. So sweet! AMBIANCE: It's a cute little restaurant! It was empty when we went but there were a few tables from which to choose and everything was clean! OVERALL: A great spot for food! Can't wait to try their other dishes and get more chicken. Craving very much satisfied and then some.

The service here was really good, they were very attentive. We had ordered the wings thinking they were gonna be spicy, but we got the mild wings. We asked the server if they were supposed to come spicy and she ended up bringing us out the spicy sauce which ended up being super spicy! It has a slow burning heat (yang yum) which I really liked. The chicken wings were super meaty, crunchy, and delicious. We also ordered the beef Bulgogi, which was OK tasted more like a teriyaki stirfry had a lot of vegetables in it. The restaurant was clean and quiet.

Still hands down our favorite Korean in SW Washington. When I'm cravings wings, this is the place. When my daughter wants pickled radish, this is the place. Their teobokki was always great but dang their japchae is AHmazing. Highly recommend. Always able to sit right away. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Service is quick and the food is divine.

It's great to see a shop specializing in Korean Fried Chicken in Battle Ground. No need to go to Portland/Beaverton for it anymore. There is parking here, and it's clean. Their menu is small and specialized. The staff suggested getting their Yang yum chicken, and I got it with bone in. It also comes with a side so I got their corn slaw. You can pick other sides like rice, mandu (dumpling) or kimchi as well. The Yang Yum sauce is sweet and spicy. Their chicken was fried well, chicken was juicy and not dry. Good amount of sauce for the fried chicken. The sauce is sticky and you'll definitely need to wash your hands after. However, that's how I like Korean Fried Chicken. The corn slaw is like regular Coleslaw with cabbage but their replace it with corn. Definitely helps lighten up the meal a little bit.

Love the wings here! The chicken is always so crispy and packed with flavor. Soy garlic and Yang yum are my go tos! The staffs are also very nice. Coming back for sure whenever I'm in the area :)

I'm not sure if I just came on an "off" night, but I was disappointed in the food, especially based on all of the hugely favorable reviews. First off, the restaurant is very clean, and the staff are very friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. Service is fast, and diners are brought a caddy with lots of napkins, wet wipes (a MUST for the yang yum chicken wings), flatware, and metal chopsticks. This is a very thoughtful and welcome touch. Portion size is reasonable, but prices seem to be high for how much food you get. The chicken wings were very crisp, but the chicken itself got completely lost in the (to my palate) overly sweet and sticky yang yum glaze. Getting this in the boneless variety and served with rice would probably make for a better experience. Potstickers fared better, but they were nothing noteworthy. The menu is very small, specializing in chicken, Japchae, and Bibimbap. If you're in the neighborhood, I'd recommend giving Hearty K-Bop a try.

LOVE Korean food. The service was prompt and friendly. Ambience was clean and decorated just right. Not gaudy. Not plain. Which we appreciate. My favorite was the Bi Bim Bap. My husband's favorite were the wings. All of them. The wings were crisp on the outside, flavorful, and moist on the inside. The Bi Bim Bap was a delicious blend of rice, vegetables, and bulgogi beef, with an egg on top. If you prefer an over easy egg, which is more traditional, just let them know in advance. The kim chee was on point. Crisp, yet also tender. Not too spicy. Definitely not mild. We could tell it was fresh. Not gooey and limp, like what you buy at grocery stores. The Jap Chae hit the spot. Together with the beef dish, the wings, and the rice, our dinner was a delighful foray into Korean cuisine. Reminiscent of the Korean chicken I would have back home, in restaurants, in Hawaii. Hard to believe this gem of a restaurant was in a strip mall in Battle Ground. The biggest surprise was that Mimi recognized us. Mimi is the mom of the owner, Chris. We had NO IDEA she worked there. Mimi and her husband used to own dry cleaning businesses, and a laundromat, in Hazel Dell l, called Mimi's Cleaners. She and her husband sold it recently, to retire. My husband just told me that a few days ago, when he went to drop off some clothes. THEN THIS happened!! Kismet!! ~ What was not surprising, was that Mimi wasn't ready to just sit around in retirement. So she told us that she helps now and then with the restaurant. I told my kids (all in their 30's), and now they can't wait to try Hearty K-Bop too. Now I know why the Korean flavors taste so authentic. It is a Korean-owned business. I'm sure their recipes have been handed down through family. Sure tastes like it. I used to have to go all the way to Beaverton for good Korean food. Now, I only have to drive 15 minutes away. And... I get to say "hi" to an old friend. We were Mimi's Cleaners customers for several years. I was going to give them 5 stars before Mimi spotted my husband and I dining there. If I could give DOUBLE STARS, I would. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Mimi's family knows how to run good businesses. But even more than that... our tummies were dancing with delight! Try Hearty K-Bop! The difficulty will be deciding what your favorite dish is. But how FUN is that?!?

What an awesome find on the WA side of the river! If you're tired of driving into Portland for authentic Korean Fried chicken I have your answer, Hearty K-Bop! My family of 6 and friends (additional party of 5) arrived with a total of 3 preschoolers and two teenagers in addition to 6 adults. We were greeted by the owner Chris and his wife and additional staff who were very warm and welcoming. We asked them for recommendations and the pointed out several items which they thought we would like. We tried the yang yum bone in chicken, soy garlic bone in chicken, and the wasabi crispy boneless chicken. We had orders of bibimbap and Bulgogi along with their japchae and corn-slaw sides. I also have to mention their kimchi sides were very tasty. Arguably some of the best kimchi at a restaurant I've had in a long time, good flavor and clearly fresh. Everything was very delicious. The chicken pieces were sizable and very flavorful. The quality of the chicken was better than any of the other Korean chicken restaurants throughout Portland. I was worried the boneless chicken would be dry but it was super tender. As it turns out the owners attended a special chicken preparation school in Korea and paid to learn authentic recipes to prepare their dishes. It is very clear they care about the quality of the food they serve and want every customer to have an excellent experience. My only hope is they are able to create spicier and spicier versions of their chicken, but rest assured we'll be back!

There was only one patron there who was just about to leave. She was having a conversation with the owner who is a nice Asian man. I got the large egg flour soup and the teriyaki chicken yakisoba noodles to do. $22.00 total. I got home and the food looked delicious. As I got into scarfing down the noodles I notice a stale taste and it was the chicken. It's like they had a piece of chicken already cooked from days ago, there it on the grill or microwave to warm it up, cut it up and put it on top of the noodles. I did like the broccoli and cabbage they put in the yakisoba noodles but the sliced carrots seem to be stale too. I tried the egg drop soup and it had a funky taste like a fishy flavor to it. Maybe it was a bad day or maybe this is how they serve their food thete. Not too sure if this would be my first choice for lunch or not.

Small little joint about nine tables total and none were full on this day. A lot of take-out orders so that is probably all that is needed. I got the sesame chicken which had wayyy too much salt in it I had been wanting to drink more water but on this way. Haha. The veggie wraps were great, I would definitely order those again. I would probably drop back by here again and order something else as it was a well-loved place.

They require 4 types of meat to be ordered per round, so to get your money's worth it is soooo much food to be consuming with less people. The wine pork belly is awful. It was room temperature and tasted more rancid than anything else. No salt or flavor. The tripe was insanely tough and chewy, you could get the same experience from a rotting tire in Portland. The garlic, and lemon pepper chicken were both dry and flavorless. Not a very good variety of vegetables either. The Galbi was actually flavorful and juicy and I would personally recommend that if you decide to go. The server was polite and very respectful but I might as well have been mute and them blind with how easy it was to call them back to be able to order rounds of food following the first one. They were slow to clean up empty plates as well. The grill was not hot enough to cook things in a timely manner so I would also keep that in mind. We went on a Saturday night and had to wait around 25 minutes to be seated. I don't think I would go back but you can decide for yourself. ;))
