We are so happy to have Korean food on this side of the city, and for it to be amazing Korean food is huge! The ladies at the register are always so nice and will talk with you about the owners when it's slow. We have been a few times and take friends all the time. The kabi, fried rice, and fried chicken are top notch and if they have a special TRY IT. I will say if you're use to the super spicy Korean food, this is not that. Much of the spicy dishes do have a kick but lean more sweet, which is my preference. I will same the tteokbokki can scratch the itch when I have it, but I'm not big on the veggies they put in it, don't get me wrong it's my jam, just not sure on the cooked cabbage (I think) in it. Not going to lie, the restaurant is not really something one would call Instagram worth, but it is small, quiet and has enough tables for a few groups. read more

Well, I checked Yelp and any online location for K-Food, and they all said they were open (still does), but we arrived to it being closed. Someone opened the door and said, "The owner left to LA." As a person who has lived in Gresham most of my life, I can say that the pallet of Gresham residents isn't known for being elevated. We like our chain restaurants and familiar food. Most non-American food in town is pretty Americanized and even then, they tend to struggle. So when a Korean restaurant popped up in outer Gresham, I was immediately skeptical and didn't think there was any way it would either be 1) good or 2) would survive. I was dead wrong on the 1st and hope I'm wrong on the latter. My family and I went here for lunch recently, if for no other reason than to satisfy our curiosity and to support local business. It's small to be sure, but the service was fantastic. The lone employee was nice, attentive and helpful when we had questions on the menu. As small and simple as it was, it was inviting and had that mom-and-pop feeling to it. After debating for a while about what to order (it all looked so good), we decided to have our kids split the teriyaki chicken entree. My wife ordered bibimbap and I got the beef bulgogi. We also added edamame and calamari. The food was outstanding! Admittedly, neither of us had ever had bibimbap before and felt that it could have used a little extra something (hoisin maybe?) but that could just be how that dish is. The bulgogi was tender and delicious. We will absolutely return and I look forward to trying other dishes! read more

Thanks to the good reviews on Yelp, I discovered this place and gave it a try. It is in a tucked away location in outer Gresham, but it's worth going to! My mom, sister, and I shared the soy garlic chicken, beef teriyaki, and kimchi fried rice and had lots of food leftover! It made the perfect lunch for us at work today Totally agree with the other reviews that the price is fair for the quality and the large quantity! All of the food was flavorful, presentable even in the to-go box, and was fresh. I will definitely be back to try more things on their large menu! read more

I didn't get a picture because I was two seconds from turning into a gremlin if I didn't eat, but, I am from Southern California and miss the varieties of food I could get there. This place is excellent. In fairness, it is my first time here and I only had the Yakisoba with beef, but it was the best yakisoba I have ever had and I've had an exceptional amount of yakisoba. It was perfectly flavored. The beef was high quality with grill marks and not rubbery or with questionable texture. The woman working the front was very kind and attentive and service was very fast. I don't leave reviews often, but they deserve it. Firstly, my best friend and I were so happy to finally have a Korean place open near us. She got the soondubujigae with pork and kimchi pancake. I ordered the galbi and japchae, and her mom got the yakisoba. Everything was so generously portioned and flavorful. The galbi marinade was perfect - and tasted grilled. The kimchi pancake was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Japchae and yakisoba noodles were perfect texture and taste too. I don't usually orefer my japchae with bell peppers, but they put in woodesr mushrooms which are my favorite. We appreciated the to-go containers being lined with foil so they wouldn't soak the bottoms. Finally, the owner (I'm assuming) was so so sweet! She asked if we liked kimchi, and gave us extra. I pointed out to my bff that they had a Christmas cactus and she overheard us talking and asked if we liked plants, and proceeded to show us an oxalis plant that she called a 'love plant' because the design of the leaves looks like a heart. And then she gave us the plant!!! So sweet! It's at my best friend's work right now, and she updates me on how it's doing (it's alive). Next time we go, we'll update her as well. But we thought it was so nice for her to give us the plant! She said that she's been waiting to give it to a customer who loves plants. So yeah, definitely coming back here :) read more

This is a newer spot to Gresham, and one that I'm going to keep coming back to. Food: 5/5. -The seafood pancake had plenty of green onion and seafood. Not greasy, a pleasant surprise! -Osam Bulgogi was a gigantic portion that was nice and spicy. Loaded with squid and pork belly. This was my favorite of the visit. -Kimchi Jji-gae was nice and hot. For $17 I expected a bigger portion, though! This would feed 1 person but would not fill them up. Service: 5/5. They were good to my kid and brought her a miso soup & rice on the house. Very friendly, attentive, constantly checked in. For those of you that frequent Asian restaurants, you know service is very hit or miss. It's a HIT here! Ambiance: 4/5. There's a TV that plays kpop but not much else. It's very "this is a restaurant that has no decor, so the food must be amazing". I will continue to come back and take my friends and family here. Definitely recommend this place! the order was quick and yet tasty. This is our second round having dinner takeout from them. And, that means a lot since we are quite two picky foodies here. I ordered extra kimchi! Because it was very delicious last time I had it, and I've been craving for it since. All food came in good portions at a fair price. I love my spicy pork teriyaki. It was juicy and tender. The Soondubu tofu soup with beef was great with lots of ingredients. I am glad that the seafood pancakes came with a dipping sauce. Oh. My. God. I have been wishing for authentic east Asian food closer to home for years. Especially Korean which is my favorite. Someone mentioned the restaurant on the sandy community Facebook page and i was so excited. We just left our first visit. We had: spicy pork (my longtime fav), the spicy chicken, sangyeopsal, noodles, the calamari (cooked to tender perfection) and a combo plate for the hubby. All of it was absolutely delicious and authentic. The meal came with some banchan, Cucumber & Napa kimchi, along with a pasta salad. They also have classics like Ttoekbokki and Japchae too. Good, fresh, authentic Korean food ... could not recommend more.. so excited that we don't have to drive a full hour to the Jade District when we have this half an hour away. It's busy because it's small inside, and the food is so good. The service was still 100% exemplary, even with the pressure of a short staffed kitchen for the night.
