In my opinion, this place is a solid 3. My wife and I came here with some friends for a late bite. The place is small with "x" amount of tables which is isn't bad but if the place gets about half full along with a couple video poker people playing, you may be in for an annoying experience. It isn't just because the place is small...but it holds a bad echo effect. I noticed the few people that did show up came for take out which didn't surprise me. The service was good and on point. When the food came it was hot (almost too hot) and everything looked fresh. I ordered the Szechuan Lo Mein dish which consisted of primarily noodles with vegetable, chicken, and beef. It was actually a decent dish but it was just too spicy (and I can handle some spicy food). For me, it is rare that I go to a Chinese place that serves a spicy dish to the point that I don't want to finish it. Usually, it's not spicy enough but this place way overdid it. Also, I wished that they would have lessened the noodle ratio and added more vegetables to equal the overall portion of the plate. Overall, not a bad place. There is some good stuff to eat here. You will pay a little more than the average to eat here and may find some resistance if wanting to alter some of their dishes to your liking. I will come here again but most likely avoid their spicy dishes and order something with more vegetables to lessen the carb overload that usually dominates the plates that are typically served in these establishments. read more

I ordered chicken curry with rice last. When I opened the box, the was kinda a muddy smell coming from it. Knowing all curries have different taste profiles, I put some on my plate. The chicken itself was nice but the sauce was disgusting, tasted of dirt and just old. The vegetables were pretty much raw including the green onions that I ask to be removed because I am ALLERGIC to them. I've ordered here before and was good but what the hell?? I don't know why I haven't rated this place sooner but if you want some great Chinese food in outer Southeast this is the place to go. they usually have your order ready in about 20 minutes, they deliver or you can place your order via Yelp. This is by far my top choice when it comes to healthy Asian cuisine. It is really clean and the family that run it are always very welcoming. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken and wow, do I regret it. The meal was overall bland and rather tasteless, and not even "white people spicy". You can literally make something better using a premade sauce at the grocery store and some chicken breast cubed up. Wow! The food here is great! I ordered the orange chicken and appetiser combo. It was the sweetest orange and tender chicken, ever. Seriously, better than any of the other restaurants that I have eaten at. It was well worth the hour bus ride. I've been on the hunt for good Chinese food in the area. I live with a picky eater, so the orange chicken, fried rice, and pot stickers need to be spot on. Lucky 7 definitely pulled through. The added pieces of sliced orange in the dish was a nice touch, too. Pot stickers were pan fried rather than deep fried, making them the perfect texture. In addition to all of this, the staff are some of the kindest people I've ever done business with. I phoned in my order and the man I spoke with was extra nice and helpful. Really don't have any complaints about this little off the road spot. The staff was so sweet and helpful, the food was fantastic and a larger portion than expected for the price. My boyfriend and I tried our hand at 'Keno' for the first time which was a blast, they have a live screen right in the restaurant. They also have some slot machines and casino games in a tiny little space in the back which was kind of a fun thing to do while we waited for our food! Definitely will be returning. read more

I've probably driven by this restaurant before having grown up out near here, but unless you pointed it out to me, I'd pull a blank. Tonight, I got a craving for good old American Chinese food and ordered it for delivery via Yelp's service, Eat24, as the reviews were good. The order process was easy-peasy. The delivery man arrived exactly on time and was just great to work with, and nothing was missing from the order. The food was steaming hot and delicious and well wrapped. I did doctor up the hot and sour soup with a bit of vinegar and added a bit of hot mustard to the chicken kung pao to make it hotter and spicier ("hey, Ma, look at me, I'm a cook"!). The chicken pieces were nice and tender and not too heavily breaded. Sauce for the chicken kung pao, besides the addition of the hot mustard, was tasty. Hot and sour soup was perfect after the addition of the vinegar. So now I'm full of delicious Chinese food with plenty left over for a meal tomorrow. My delivery experience was so positive, and the food so excellent, that I will definitely do that again, and I would go and eat at the restaurant. I hope you do too. read more

I have been here three or four times now. I will be honest it took some gumption to walk through the front door, but I am so glad that I did. So far Portland has been a massive letdown when it comes to Chinese food. American Chinese or authentic Chinese. Portland is a huge disappointment. The staff here are incredibly friendly and polite, local family owned. They know how to cook Chinese food. I'm have not eaten anything here yet that was not good. Their meat quality is definitely better than every Chinese place I have been to in Oregon, they have good flavorful sauces, and their prices and portions are fair. Restaurant isn't much to look at, but it's clean and has no unpleasant smells. I think they thrive primarily off of Togo and delivery customers. Tonight is my first Togo order. This place is so pleasantly surprising. The food is very tasty, Im particularly impressed with the quality of their chicken dishes. The sweet and sour chicken, the sesame chicken and the chicken lo mein are delicious. Their fried stuff is light and fluffy; never chewy and the house special wonton soup is the best I've had in Portland. Portions are generous and I've never been charged for asking for extra sauce or substitutes. This really is a great little Chinese place but what I love most is the service. Dining in or getting take out have always been pleasant experiences. The staff here are welcoming friendly and attentive. I can't say enough good things about this place! We ordered the appetizer plate that comes with crab Rangoon (just ok), egg rolls (bad), bbq pork (ok) and tempura shrimp (pretty good). It also comes with sweet and sour sauce and hot mustard sauce. We ordered the General's chicken, which comes with steamed rice, and the bbq pork chow mein. These were surprisingly really good! Not just average, but above my own expectations. The chicken didn't contain any mystery chunks and was hot, fresh and crispy. The show mein was made with thin vermicelli noodles and very flavorful without being really greasy.
