Absolutely delicious food! My husband and I went here for a date night. Everything was super delicious 10/10 recommend!
I took my friend out for lunch at Paik's on a weekday. We both ordered the Jajangmyeon(Black Bean Noodles). The noodles were incredibly flavorful and you can really taste the black bean they used. The staff were very friendly and offered incredible services. It was both our first time here and they offered us these plastic covers to put over our white shirts so we don't get the black bean sauce on them which I thought was incredibly helpful. I would definitely come back again since the food were great and the pricing were amazing.
Stopped in for lunch and ordered the jjajangmyeon and the tangsuyuk (chicken) with a side of rice to share. The jjajangmyeon was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly chewy. It's on par with other restaurant jjangmyeons maybe even a little better so, 7.5/10. The tangsuyuk had a light crispy batter and the pieces of chicken were super juicy and tender. But I personally felt the sauce lacked dimension and was just a little too sweet for me so, 7.1/10. Service was quick and friendly! The price was fair and we had leftovers! I'd definitely come again when in the mood for fried food
Very disappointing experience. The fried noodles were burnt and had a strong burnt taste. The sweet and sour pork was far too sweet and was difficult to enjoy. Overall, the food was not good at all and was much worse than other Korean restaurants I've been to. I was really looking forward to this meal, but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. I won't be coming back.
A great casual restaurant for some Korean food! The inside is bright and clean and there's plenty of seating. Their menu is pretty simple, specializing in variations of jjajjangmyeon, jjamppong, and other small Korean bites. You order at the counter and sit down, once the food is done, it's brought to you. Service is very quick here. I've been here twice now and I've tried their regular pork jjajjangmyeon, their seafood stir-fried jjajjangmyeon, their jjamppong, and their tangsuyook. Everything is very flavorful. The noodles are thick and juicy. The portions are huge. And, the meat is crispy and delicious. Good quick and casual spot!
My friend and I were in a bit of a rush today, so we ended up taking out the meal to go. It was lovely that the noodles and the sauce were packed separately. I got the jjomppong, and my friend got the regular jajangmyeon. I will say for the size, it is a bit on the pricy side, but the taste is good. I can't speak much to the jjangjangmiang other than my friend really enjoyed it and was able to eat some as leftovers. However, I should caution that she is not a big eater, and I personally think the average eater would be able to finish one bowl. As for the jjompong, there was a good amount of seafood within the broth, which was good, and the broth was rich and flavorful. Also, please note that I personally don't think the soup was very spicy, so if that's something you are cautious about, as long as you have some tolerance, you should be ok to appreciate the thicker noodles that go with the dish as well. I ordered online and the food was ready quickly, although the staff were a bit rushed when I was picking up my food. No issue though, since it was lunch time and things get busy. The restaurant seemed to have a decent amount of seating from my brief foray of picking up the food. Had my friend and I had time, we would have much preferred to sit down in the restaurant to eat and take our time chatting.
New favorite noodle spot. Had heard good things and stopped in for lunch. Very clean and bright and spacious. Extremely friendly staff. The jjamppong is SO GOOD!!! The base is perfectly balanced and spicy. The seafood is so good and I love the noodles. I came back two days later with my entire family. I wish it was closer to where I live.

Black bean noodles - $11 - more SAVORY than sweet compared to other Korean places I've been to. I actually prefer it savory - sauce wasn't too salty or sweet and stuck to the noodles well - noodles were nice and bouncy - meat was in there, but they were cut up into fine and skinny pieces so they were hard to see - good portion size overall Fried pork $15 - meat was small, breading was big - not much flavor unless you use the sweet dipping sauce - good portion size Seafood noodles - broth was very flavorful, you could definitely taste the seafood in it - good spice level Overall, I would come back but only for the black bean noodles. Most Korean places I've been to were TOO SWEET, but this place makes it SAVORY which is my preference. $11 for the black bean noodles is a great price for the size you get! I would skip the fried pork.
Solid, tasty, and budget-friendly! Came here craving some Korean comfort food, and Paik's Noodle did not disappoint! The restaurant gives off a Panda Express vibe to me, and I knew I wanted to try the stir-fried Jajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork based on others' photos. The food came out quickly, and I think they did a good job blending Korean and Americanized Chinese flavors. Nice fusion. The dipping sauce for the sweet and sour chicken was unique; it looked like the sweet and sour soup you'd find at Americanized Chinese places but was served as a dipping sauce--very creative. The stir-fried Jajangmyeon had a good portion size, enough for two people to share, despite being the most expensive item on the menu. It was saucy and looked very appetizing, with plenty of noodles, though I wish there had been a bit more meat for the price. Everything tasted good, but it felt like fast food-level good to me. Maybe I expected a bit more from all the hype. I'd come back to try other menu items, but it's not something I'd personally crave.
Review: Beef Jjampong Tried the beef jjampong and was seriously disappointed. It barely resembled actual Korean-Chinese jjampong--no heat, no depth, and definitely no wok flavor. Instead, it tasted more like Korean beef radish soup (soegogi muguk) with noodles thrown in. The ingredients were underwhelming, and there were hardly any vegetables--just a bland broth with some meat. If you're expecting a rich, spicy, seafood-forward jjampong, this isn't it. Wouldn't recommend.

Sweet & sour pork was bartered pork pieces with a sauce... good but not what we expected. It didn't come with rice and that was weird as we thought we ordered a rice dish??? Overall an interesting place to eat.
10/10 recommend coming here for when korean-chinese cuisine cravings. Stirfry jjm and jjampong always hit the spot. affordable pricing and quick service. Friendly people and just pick off menu then pay at cashier. Wait for food to be delivered. Have your own water service at your table with most commonly used seasoning and sauces. Good for family and friends to dine or even if you're in the mood for solo dining. very chill either way. Indoor/outdoor seating and ample parking spaces
I like fast casual-style restaurants like this one where you order from the counter and the food + sides come to you. I originally only had some pickled radish as a side but they brought out the kimchi too, which was also delicious. The jjajangmyeon was a huge portion, came out hot, and had plenty of sauce to coat every noodle strand and some. Honestly, it was really good for the size and flavor, especially at $13 for the bowl which is cheaper compared to most lunch spots nowadays. The location is nice if you plan on shopping at Target or the mall and need a filling meal. read more
I honestly crave the tangseyuk here often *writing this at 4am due to cravings * A popular chain in Korea, they have a various ways you can enjoy jjangmyung or its spicy seafood counter part. They also serve rice dishes. As a blackbean noodle addict I can attest this is the best place hands down. They use potato starch in their batter for their pork which makes it so deliciously crispy but with that mochi type of bite. The jjang sauce is thick and doesn't disintegrate so you're able to dip the pork in it. Service is good and they give you free pickled radish! You can also ask for cut onion in vinegar if you're a die hard~ read more
I ordered takeout from Paik's Noodle since it was conveniently located near my accommodation. I tried their most popular dish, Jajangmyeon, along with sweet and sour pork (the second most popular item) and spicy chicken. The spicy chicken was actually quite good and flavorful. However, the dish I was most excited about, the Jajangmyeon, was disappointing -- the flavor was very mild and lacked depth. Unfortunately, the sweet and sour pork was not good at all. While it was battered and fried, most pieces were almost entirely batter with very little actual pork inside, which was quite disappointing. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly, and I really liked the clean and pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. However, because the food did not meet my expectations overall, I'm giving this place read more

I've tried Paik's Noodle in LA so I was excited when I heard they opened one here! I came here with a friend and we ordered a couple of dishes: the Stir Fried Jajangmyeon and Sweet and Sour Chicken. The server was very friendly and the food came out very prompt. Both dishes were so flavorful and delicious. Although I enjoy spicy foods, I'm glad we ordered the jajangmyeon as mild (since the menu lists it as spicy). There was some spice in the sauce but since it was much less, it made our meal overall satisfying. When I'm in the area again, I've love to try even more dishes! read more
Famous Korean Chef Jong Won Paik's fast noodle chain now in Beaverton. At peak times, it can be confusing whether to walk up to the middle of the room to the register counter or to self sign in immediately to the left of the doorway entrance. The latter. Loud & crowded is the norm with not much decor to look at. Also the norm is to tip first when ordering and be serviced later. With employees running around it seems to inconvenience them when you ask for some more water or napkins. The jjajang black bean sauce is good, a tad salty. Stirfried Jjajangmyeon is a hefty portion enough for two ~ ask for more black bean sauce for this one. Jjamppong is always better with noodles vs. rice. Anything with a chili pepper icon is spicy with a good kick. Request for light spicy for those with low heat tolerance. read more
Long wait line for this new Korean restaurant. Signed up and 40 minutes later we came back from browsing at target nearby. The menu is limited and features jajyangmyeon and fried pork tangsuyuk. The appetizers that others have shown are not available. The table water and service was a bit slow and the server brought out our silverware separately but even forgot the chopsticks. I mean fork and chopsticks can be brought in one delivery right? And maybe more than one napkin? It's annoying that a messy meal with a lot of sauce provides you with a single thin dry out your skin paper napkin. The food finally arrived and it was a bit bland. The jajyangmyeon had thin slices of pork loin that weren't flavorful or seasoned. The jajyangmyeon at Wok N Guys has flavor. The seasoned work and fatty pork bits have flavor not gristle. The jajyangmyeon here at Paik's is just lean and kinda cold. The sauce wasn't served that hot. Not lukewarm but not steaming either. I would rate it 3 out of 10 on flavor and quality of ingredients. There were bits of sliced cabbage ends and core. The white ends of cabbage and just cheap bits of veggies. No green cabbage or fresh veggies. Noodles were also kinda thin and not chewy. Tangsuyuk used the same thin strips of pork loin that were lean and dry. The pork was heavily battered in cornstarch or tapioca flour so I was eating mostly batter. Sauce was too sweet. This is a 4 out of 10 star item. Overall it's kinda disappointing. Glad to see more Korean eateries open up. This is a franchise location and I've tried the one in San Jose. The San Jose location had slightly better chewy noodles. Better sauce and there was fried spicy shrimp on the menu. The Tangsuyuk there was better with different quality of pork cuts. The business just opened and they are figuring it out. If the owners continue to use cheap quality ingredients and serve bland food and not train staff in service etiquette like bringing all utensils then well it's not worth another trip. read more
When I found out this restaurant opened near me, I was excited since I've tried this restaurant chain in Korea. You order at the counter when you enter and get seated by staff. We got the sweet and sour pork (a must), jjamppong, and jajangmyeon. The star of the show was definitely the pork and jajangmyeon. They're so good paired together! For a party of 2, we were left with leftovers from the pork and jjamppong. Food came out very quickly, which is a plus! Seating space in this restaurant is decent, I can tell it can get crowded during weekends and most especially dinner time. Can't wait to go back again so I can try their chicken wings and shrimp (says coming soon on their menu)! read more
The food was made to order. I got the seafood omelet dish that tasted great. My partner and I joke that I can be a little bit petty counting the number of shrimp I get in items. I counted four with this one. At first I wasn't sure if I sit and wait to be seated or go up to the front by the register because of the sign up list. I think it's a franchised so you can find some other of these locations around the US but it is a first for our neighborhood. I would go back again to try this but the soup that came with my dish was far too spicy for me. read more
So glad this is finally open in Oregon! I've tried to come here on two occasions and unfortunately wasn't able to get a table in time. Came for a third time around 1230 on a rainy Sunday, and there was no wait! This place is super efficient. You walk in, order at the register, grab a number, go to a table, and your food is brought to you. We ordered the spicy jjajjangmyeon (black bean noodle) and an order of the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) to share between the two of us. It was a good amount of food, and so delicious! I love that the noodles are chewy but still soft and served as the perfect vehicle for the savory black bean sauce. My husband and I love spicy, so we really enjoyed the spicy version. The regular I'm sure would also be just as good. I really liked the tangsuyuk here. I love that the breading is light and crispy but doesn't fall apart under the sauce. I also appreciated that the pork here doesn't have a bad after taste that sometimes pork can have if not seasoned properly. Overall, we would definitely come back again! According to some reviews, it sounds like the wait can go by fairly quickly, so do keep that in mind. read more
walked in around 330 for a late lunch, it wasnt super super busy, we were greeted and kindly encouraged to come closer to the cashier to look at the menu and place our orders before being seated. indoor was a lot kore spacious than i thought with lots of seating, gives of a homey vibe! service was super fast. the workers would check in with us after we were seated, during our meal, and as we were finishing up and leaving. the menu was pretty straight to the point, good amount of options, not too much, not to little. we were recommended the jajangmyeon so we ordered that and the stir fried noodles. i've never been a huge fan of jajangmyeon and of all the places i've tried, this place did it the best! not to sweet or savory, wishing the meat pieces were a bit bigger. the stir fried noodles had the perfect amount of noodles to sides ratio and tasted really good, had a hint of the chow fun. although they are known for their jajangmyeon, would absolutely come back for their stir fried noodles and would love to try their other and new upcoming dishes! read more

Paiks noodle in Portland was a huge let down. It really doesn't live up to the famous name. The concept of ordering at the counter and having to get the food is very disappointing. The food is also very mediocre on a good day. Having gotten the jjajangmyun, they don't give you enough sauce to eat all the noodles. I've never had jjajangmyun this dry before. I get that they sell a jjajang rice, but skimping on the sauce this much is a little over the top. The restaurant itself was clean and new with modern decor. Very much no frills. read more

A nice place to grab lunch with large portions. Thought it was alright, was particularly my favorite. Prices were reasonable. I wish the dishes did have more protein though for how much noodles they provided. I paid the extra $1 for the spicer version of the jjamppong and it honestly wasn't worth it. It was def more mild. read more

Pretty much no frills but excellent value. The food is good. The portions are generous. The place is clean and staff is friendly as can be. It's not all rainbows and sunshine. My wife and I shared the stir-fried jjangmyeon (with seafood). The seafood bits were indeed there. But they were there more for shownand texture. If I closed my eyes, I would not be able to identify the flavors of the seafood in it. That being said, it was a tasty dish regardless. But next time, we'll probably skip the seafood order. We also got a large order of deep fried potstickers. 8 pcs for $9. Umm no. I like to give patronage to places that I can order pretty much anything and it'll be great. I think this will be true for the noodle dishes in general. Despite my nit-picking, we really did enjoy the food here. read more

Ordered takeout - sweet and spicy chicken wings, meat jajangmyeon, and jjamppong. Everything was wonderful - someone in our family who normally is not a fan of korean dishes was a big fan of the jajangmyeon. Surprisingly, the wings were still crispy even after the drive home. read more

A newer Korean-chinese noodle style restaurant (I believe it's a franchise) has just opened up in town. It's located in a small strip mall near Washington Square. We stopped by for lunch and tried some items out. We ordered the chili jajangmeyon, jjamppong, and some dumplings. The noodles for the jajangmeyon had a nice texture to it. The sauce was flavorful but slightly a bit sweet for me. The chili peppers on it definitely gave it a kick. Some of those peppers were definitely spicy, which is good for spicy lovers. The dumplings were nice and crispy. I do want to try a couple of the other items next time. read more
The food is great- the jajangmyeon is probably my favorite noodle dish. I like to steal some of the broth from my husband's jjamppong & mix it in for some spice. I truly wish there were more options, though, especially for someone like me who doesn't like seafood much. The crispy gyoza is fantastic, with a good crunch. The employees are so friendly & genuinely seem happy that you're there. There is plenty of seating in the front of the restaurant as well as along the side & outside. You order when you walk in which I thought was interesting! They were very helpful in helping us choose what were the most popular dishes to order. The Jajangmyeon was good but could be more savory and flavorful. The ambiance is nice such that they have open seating, air purifiers, and nice bathrooms. I would come again to try other things on their menu read more

Any gluten free options at this location?
All the noodles have flour and they do not have gluten free option for noodles. Their sweet and sour pork is made with rice flour, so that is gluten free, as well as jajang rice.... Since rice is gluten free 😅
