Seafood Pancake + Toppoki with Cheese
Andy V.

Having been living in Beaverton for many years, JCD has always been a hit when I'm craving Korean food! Their quality has not dropped at all and with them moving to a larger location, it's even easier to be able to get seating here! All of the workers were nice and catered us to what we needed! I highly recommend getting their toppoki and their seafood pancake as they're amazing and great to share!

Service was nice, got seated pretty quickly. I got a seolleontang and I loved how warm and tasteful the broth was. I'm not sure if they refill banchan , we really enjoyed some and wish they had offered a bit more. Overall it was pretty good thought, would come back

Tasty banchan!

The restaurant is spic and span, huge, clean and obviously new. (Apparently, there was a smaller location before.) The person I presume is the owner, greeted us VERY warmly and kept up the friendly tone throughout the meal, checking in with us frequently. We got seated near the door on some pretty uncomfortable wooden benches that reminded me of benches for bad kids at a school. We got used to them! The only other negative --- we received our drinks promptly but it took at least 30 minutes before he could return to get our order. Once we did order, the food arrived FAST, less than 5 minutes, delivered by a silent but efficient woman. We chose the 2-3 person BBQ combo. It was plenty of food at a really reasonable price I thought, compared to other Korean BBQ's we have visited. In fact, we don't get BBQ usually because it is so costly. It was a special occasion so we went for it. The soup included is spicy and garlicky with nice tofu and green onions. A great start to the meal. There was a huge quanity of meat piled high. We couldn't imagine how much there must be for the 3 - 5 person combo. The woman server got us started and we kept the meat coming, took turns cooking. Everything turned out juicy and tender, and we loved the nice charred bits from the thinly sliced beef. The marinated beef had an excellent flavor. The pork belly stayed juicy even though we didn't exactly know how long to grill it. The sauce that comes with the meal was nice for dipping purposes. Banchan dishes were plentiful, and each one had different flavors. Interestingly, the kim chee was not hot at all. I'm not sure how I feel about that but maybe it is a special non-hot style of kim chee?? The soup was spicier than the kim chee. Our host asked us several times if we will return, and we assured him we would. This man is hustling to further grow his business. I'm sure based on our experience, he doesn't need to worry!

So glad I stumbled upon this restaurant during my visit to Oregon! Food was overall so delicious and exceeded my expectations. My thoughts on everything I ordered: Galbi: well marinated with a slight sweetness to it. Paired very well with the rice! So delicious and it was a pretty big portion. I also loved the grilled onions it came with. Yukgaejang: spicy broth! It came with a lot of ingredients like veggies and meat. My only wish is that they gave more noodles! This dish didn't stand out to me in particular, but it was still pretty solid. I absolutely adored the complimentary side dishes they gave! There were kimchi, cucumbers, pasta salad, fish cakes, and veggie salad. Everything was so good and I love that it came with free refills! Staff were friendly and food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The establishment is pretty big with both booth and table seating. They have the option to do AYCE KBBQ as well. Parking is convenient since there's a free lot within the plaza. As someone who grew up with exceptional Korean food options in LA, I was very impressed with the food offered here! Will definitely come back the next time I visit Oregon!

Their new spot is much bigger than the previous one. Space is open with lots of tables and now they do KBBQ as well. We still went for just the regular dishes though but it did seem like they've improved their menu. Portion is much larger than before and all the ingredients tasted very fresh and high quality. We really enjoyed the Bulgogi which was charred perfectly. The Spicy Squid was fresh ans flavorful while the Spicy Chicken with Cheese could have used chicken thigh instead of breast but it's loaded with melty cheese. Their Seafood Pajeon was also nice and crispy. Had a great and filling meal here overall!

Came to their new restaurant and was so impressed at how spacious and modern it looked inside. Came here for a late lunch with my son and he and I enjoyed our meal so much that we plan to come back with our family and try out their KBBQ and other dishes. We ordered the Pork Bulgogi, Mulnengmyun (Cold Noodles) and Mulmandoo (dumplings) and they came with banchan sides. Everything was delicious and flavorful, portions were more than average so I found that it was worth what we paid for. I especially loved the steamed dumplings with the dipping sauce, they were so tender and juicy. I think overall, it was a great experience and will definitely be back!

Amazing food!! The food is always super tasty. I prefer to come here for main dishes rather than the bbq they offer. The bbq is tasty, but on the pricier side. I really enjoy their main dishes as it is always a little more on the salty-savory side. Eating it with a bowl of rice hits the spot. Their sides are AMAZING. I especially love the potatoes banchan. Their service is great and the owners are always super friendly! I've been a long time customer, back when they first had the restaurant in the inner corner - before they switched it to a pocha style. It's definitely a MUST COME spot if you're coming to portland/beaverton!

I just ate there on Monday and really enjoyed the atmosphere, no complaints about the service, everyone worked hard and diligently. This is the first time I try Korean food in the U. S and I think that it is delicious, I will comeback here to try another dishes.

time to celebrate the opening of the newly remodeled and relocated JCD! The new location is in the same shopping plaza but moved toward the corner lot. Inside has changed, multiple large tables and booths with invidual grill tabletops and vents. Same family owned with more staff. Service was friendly and got to our large party with minimal wait. There's also a convenient button to tap when you're ready to order. The food menu is extensive with lots of the previous menu transferred over. Our group ordered prepared entrees instead of bbq'ing ourselves. The galbi was so delicious (recommend ordering a dish for every two people since they disappear quickly ). Chicken bulgogi, dolsot bimbmbap, seafood pancake, japchae, tteokbokki... we had a small feast assembled. The food coma was worth the effort. There's a nice new bar area with LED lights to create a party atmosphere. Love the new spot with all the spacious tables and overall better ambiance. The old location was smaller and packed with customers. Well the new one is packed too but at least there's more space. Best Korean food in town, try JCD! *soups are excellent also but we didn't order this time.

Food is pretty tasty and there's a ton of seating. Service was friendly, but extremely slow--it took an hour for our food to come out.

Do you serve spicy raw marinated crab?

Oh my goshhh luv luv spicy raw crab but not available here....Honestly best thing here is the Korean OG whole chicken

Does this place serve sushi too?

They do not.

Do they serve Korean garlic bread? It's currently the craze in Asia. I'm living in Indonesia at the moment, but moving back to Portland next year. I hope it'll be there soon to eat.

I didn't see it on the menu.... (Sept 2021)

One door closes and another door opens in this case. After searching on Yelp, we were glad to find this place in old downtown Beaverton and so my daughter and I decided to check it out after watching the Masters of the Universe movie at nearby Century 16. The Korean Corn Dogs did not disappoint. I loved the sweet, crunchy coating on the outside and of course the cheese on the inside. The corn dog didn't have a full-size dog from end to end but that didn't matter as you get a chance to work your way to it at the end after you get through the cheesy part. Corn dogs came drizzled with ketchup and mustard but you may want to ask ahead of time not to put that if you're not a traditional kind of corn dog eater or if you want yours plain. We got the 3 pack for $12. We also grabbed a side order of cheese corn and seafood pancake. I found the pancake not having many pieces of seafood in it and mostly scallions so not my favorite. I may want to try their soups and also rice dishes on the next visit but our primary visit was to try their Corn dogs and it was a hit! The restaurant is a small/mid size corridor leading to the back area near the kitchen with 2-4 person tables with seats.

I can't believe it's taken me so long to try bb.q chicken! I know it's a chain, but this is some of…read morethe best Korean fried chicken I've had. There are many different sauces to choose from, in addition to other dishes like tteokbokki, ramen, fried rice, etc. We tried the rose tteokbokki and it was cooked perfectly. The sauce had a little kick and was the perfect pairing with our chicken. The chicken wings were excellent! The size of the wings were worth the price, the meat was juicy, and the outside was extra crispy and cooked to perfection. Honey garlic is a nice mild flavor and spicy galbi is a smoky spicy sauce that definitely gives galbi vibes. I also have to add that the service was incredible. We were there on a Saturday night, and the wait staff was on their A game. There was always someone checking in on us, and the food came out QUICK! There are a handful of tables, but I would call in advance if you have a big group so they can plan. You can also make a reservation on Yelp. There are a bunch of TV screens around the restaurant which was perfect for watching March Madness! I'll definitely be back to try more wing flavors!

Updated review as of 6/24/26…read more - ordered 8 pieces spicy original and 8 pieces of soy garlic - wanted to place just one order of 18 pieces with half & half but was told that is not an option. Minus one star for not being able to customize based on preference and that personally felt like it was not worth $1.50 to place two separate orders. Even the manager told us as much as he would have liked to help, not something he could as the owners informed them no. This was something very disappointing as other Korean fried chicken places within town allow you to customize and not charge you extra. - had a side of cheesy sticks, which server informed us it's basically mozzarella sticks, kind of disappointed when it came out as parts of the sticks cold probably from the cheese inside and the crunch on the outside of the cheesy sticks was lacking as well. It felt like biting down on a stale prefrozen sticks that didn't get warmed up enough and definitely not fresh or crispy like it was right out of the fryer. Minus another star from that - ambience was low dimmed lights which really was not appealing from the outside, I thought they were closed when we walked by then walked up saw some people but not very obvious until you're right up to the glass. Inside was chilled cold, like AC and fans all blasting. Which was not expected, had to grab a Columbia Omni heat weather proof jacket, maybe would recommend toning it down when it's in the evening like the last 90 minutes before closing to conserve energy and perhaps turn the lights on brighter to attract customers. Minus another star here. - batter for spicy original was good, the golden standard and chicken was juicy, really would be shocked if this was subpar. Soy garlic didnt hit the spot, the crispiness was more like a glaze that you heat on high heat to let it caramelize then that's it, not much crunch and flavor to it other than that outer layer. So this was disappointing as well.
