I had such a bizarre experience here that I just had to write about it on yelp. This Chimcking usually has 2 different BOGO offers on UberEats, each for a 10pc chicken wings. I usually buy both of the BOGO offers, and I've done this a few times in the past, and they've all gone fine, no problems. I get my 4x10pc wing orders without issue. Yesterday I did the same thing - I ordered 2 BOGOs, expecting my usual 40 wings. But when I walked into pick it up, the Asian lady at the counter (I think she's the owner, maybe?) chastised me and told me to limit myself to just 1 BOGO order in the future. Huh? I only got 2 BOGOs, and it's not like the price was so cheap that the restaurant was losing money or something. And besides, I've ordered these 2 BOGOs numerous times in the past. That's when I saw that the restaurant was treating any SINGLE 10pc order as a BOGO. So when I checked out with my 4 10pc orders, the restaurant took that to mean 4 BOGO orders, or in other words, EIGHT 10pc orders. No wonder the lady was upset. Of course, it's not my error, as the restaurant was interpreting the order incorrectly. I even tried my best to explain this to the lady, as well as explain that I've ordered these BOGOs multiple times in the past (and this same lady was at the desk when I picked them up!!), and it's never been an issue. Still, the lady kept insisting she was correct, and that 1 10pc order constituted a BOGO in itself, which makes absolutely zero sense, and not how literally any other merchant I've ever bought from on UberEats has done their BOGO promotions, which I also told her. Anyway, in the future, I'll still continue to order as many BOGOs as I want, I'll just probably order delivery so I don't have to deal with this nonsense. EDIT: I see the owner has responded to my review. I can certainly see how someone exploiting multiple BOGOs to order 100+ wings at a time would be harmful to the company and completely against the spirit of the promotion. But I did nothing like that. Two different BOGOs were being offered, and I simply purchased 1 of each. I've done this multiple times both at this restaurant and at numerous other restaurants that offer different BOGOs, and this was literally the first time that any restaurant worker has mentioned a word about it. I absolutely love ChimcKing! This is my friends and I's go to spot for whenever we're craving Korean Fried Chicken. As college students we care about 2 things, price to tastiness ratio; whether the taste of the food justify the price of the food. Their chicken absolutely justified the price, the price is already super competitively affordable and fair compared to other korean fried chicken places. The chickens are so tasty and crunchy, the soy garlic wings are our favorite order to get. I will warn customers that their spicy wings and ddukbokki are a bit unusually spicy, both items are still tasty but I recommend avoiding them if you can't handle "super" spicy food, I personally like the spiciness. Staff are nice, and the restaurant is pretty cozy, and little small in my opinion so please be mindful if your group is bigger than 4 people, for big groups like 7-10 people or more, I recommend the Portland location. What I ordered: We selected the Half & Half, an XL (30 piece) family serving of boneless wings with soy garlic & hot king wings ($48.99). This meal came with a small serving of fries, and a mini container of pickled radish cubes. We also shared an order of Spring Rolls ($5.99 for 5). We liked it so much that we went back for dinner (don't judge). I ordered: * Wing Series: Fried Chicken 10 Piece * Rice King * Fries (just to try) I went with the plain wings and I have to say, it was delicious! The wings had a great crunch and the meat was so tender. Although I got the plain ones, there was a very small amount of spice to it, so don't worry if you think the plain ones will be too bland because they're not! This will be my go-to every time we come here in the future. The meal comes with a side of Wasa Mayo (wasabi mayonnaise) and it was so good! I got an extra side of Wasa Mayo when we went back for dinner. The Rice King is really good but the portion was too small. They're just regular wings that you get at Buffalo Wild Wings, so if you're hungry, get a lot. The Hot King spice level is not too spicy. Even my fiance, who's not really good with spicy, said it wasn't spicy. BUT the Extra Hot King spice is actually pretty spicy! For comparison, it's spicier than regular buldak but not as spicy as buldak 2x. BWW comparison, spicier than wild but not as spicy as Blazin. I've been searching for a new restaurant to get KFC since there aren't too many in my area so I had to stop by to order some for pickup when I was in the area. I was worried since the drive back was 20 mins but when we got home the chicken was still warm and crispy so we just devoured. I enjoyed how the chicken had a thin but super crunchy coating and was still moist. Both sauces were good and TBH I'm not sure if I could tell the difference as they weren't super coated with the sauce which is actually my preference. The hot did have a kick but nothing too spicy even for my tastebuds. I would definitely get this order again and it was able to be spaced out for a couple meals which made it even better. I also enjoy eating ddukbokki so I always tend to order it whenever it's on a menu but the order here was OK. The noodles weren't as chewy and I preferred the fishcakes in the sauce more. Still a good option if you're curious to try but I'll probably opt to try something else on the menu.
