THE FOOD: - For 2 adults & 2 kids under 6, we ordered: The Fox & The Crow flight of meat, mandu, japchae, & gyeran jjim. This was more than enough food for us & even had leftovers to bring home. The quality of meat was great! You do cook it yourself, unlike some other Korean BBQ places in LA & NYC but that's also part of the authentic experience. I thought the banchan was not wow but decent. I was pleasantly surprised w/ how much I liked their japchae which had the perfect chewy noodle & flavorful so I do recommend getting that w/ ur meats & the steamed egg is good here too. OVERALL TIPS: - Don't be afraid to ask for what you want! We requested lettuce to eat w/ our meat, more banchan & asked for a new grill before we grilled our 3rd meat. Servers were nice & we didn't wait long for anything. - For those with kids: I recommend coming here right when they opened for dinner, around 5pm. Their big booths worked will with kids & having enough space for them to color & do other activities so the mamas could enjoy our meal. It's not all-u-can-eat. So the 2-person, $79 for 3 meats option only gets delivered once. They dont bring you more. This means too that at $25-$45 for single meat choices per person is like $50-$90 for 2 people with only one delivery of meat. Not sure how they can do that when other all-you-can-eat KBBQ are the same price. Confused. We had to leave since my husband wasn't willing to pay that much for one service of meat. Bummer. We asked how much meat you get in that one delivery but she said "I dont know". Not sure if it was a language issue or if no one ever asks how much you get for $80. Lol, sigh. Interior is comfortable and we were really looking forward to enjoying it. They have outside patio too - really perfect for a cool day - but they said it was closed. Came here with 2 friends and the service was good! This was my first time trying korean bbq and it was amazing! The meats were tender and filling. The meal comes with rice and side dishes. I've been here a few times over the last couple of years with my family. I've done the kbbq grill and just dined in. The Farmer's Feast is a great kbbq choice for feeding 6 adults and includes a soup and steamed egg. The japchae is very yummy and the corn cheese was my favorite. They refill your banchan at least once (not sure if it's unlimited). I really enjoyed how they provided the pickled radish to have with the kbbq. We tried the LA galbi and the hanjeongsal too but the jumulleok was my fave with the slightly sweet marinated flavor dipped in the salty sesame oil sauce - chef's kiss. We also ordered the steamed egg side and the mul naengmyeon. Both solid. I wish the naengmyeon had more(?) slices of Korean pear (question mark bc we shared the bowl so I don't know if it just didn't make it into my portion) but perhaps it's due to the fact that Korean pear is not in season atm (maybe more late summer). Also the beef slices that came in the naengmyun were a little dry and hard to eat by the time I got to it the end and I wonder if that's just the result of the broth being icy cold. Next time I shall eat it faster I wish they provided lettuce but we did get onions and some thinly sliced radish. Good variety of banchan and they refill! We had a pretty good experience overall, possibly helped by the fact that we're Korean and spoke Korean with the staff (a little bias, haha!). We ordered the Goldilocks set for five people, and it was a solid choice. It came with kimchi jjigae and steamed egg, both of which were tasty and complemented the meal well. Portion-wise, it felt satisfying, though I usually eat quite a bit, I think helping to cook the meat made it feel like the food settled faster. One small hiccup was that our table didn't get any lettuce, which we usually enjoy with KBBQ. At first, we assumed they just didn't offer it, but later we saw another table get some, so it seems like it was just forgotten. Not a big deal, but it would've made the meal feel more complete. They also no longer do AYCE at this location so it's ala cart making it pretty expensive for what the portion sizes were. Kkoki is one of my favorite KBBQ places in Oregon. I truly enjoy their red meat selection and their side dishes. I'd recommend getting the bulgogi, pork bulgogi, spicy samgyeopsal, and galbi. For veggies, onion and white mushroom. I also like to get a side of cheese corn! The staff are very attentive and the ambiance is great. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was honestly unbelievable--in the worst way. We were charged $87 for just three small plates of meat, which felt completely unreasonable for the portion size and quality. It honestly felt like a scam. What makes it even worse is that most other Korean BBQ spots offer all-you-can-eat options for way less than what we paid here. You can literally go to other places, eat as much as you want, and still spend less than $87. The fact that this place doesn't offer that and still charges these prices is ridiculous. On top of that, the service made everything worse. Staff were inattentive, slow, and didn't seem to care at all about checking in or explaining anything. We were left waiting multiple times with no acknowledgment, and it made the whole experience frustrating and uncomfortable. For the price you pay, you expect at least decent service and fair portions--but this place delivers neither. Definitely not worth it, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

I came here one evening for dinner and had a great time. I've only ever been to the Kkoki location on 82nd in Portland, so it was nice to try this spot out. Coming here, I didn't want KBBQ, so I just got their al carte entree dishes. Service here was really fast and they were kind. The ambiance was pretty quiet when I went and everything was made of wood--a very nice Korean feel to the restaurant. I ordered an egg souffle, beef noodle soup, and bibimbap when I went. First, the banchan came out and it was all pretty good. I appreciated that they gave a lot of different kinds of kimchi out, but I wish there was more variety. The egg souffle pleasantly surprised me when it came out with carrots and green onion. It look delicious, and I don't think I've seen another place where their egg souffle was so big and had more than just green onion. Both entrees were delicious and a good portion. I would love to come back to this spot to try out their KBBQ service. read more

Stay away from this place. We walked in and signed our name on the waitlist. We waited for 20 minutes. I looked at the sign-in sheet and noticed that my name was scratched off. So, I asked a worker why. She said they were confused and told me we would be seated soon. I then noticed two people who walked in after us getting seated before us. I asked the same worker (Korean lady who looked to be a manager) why they were seated first. She never apologized and told me why I didn't say anything. WTF??? I just asked you even in Korean. I could not stay and spend more than $100 at this place after being treated this way. I walked out. It was so ridiculous. They should have apologized and given us a table right away. Don't eat at this place. The service sucks. As a fellow Korean, I am so embarrassed. It is a disgrace. I will be telling all of my friends about this horrible experience. read more

So I pay money to cook my own food ? Alright then ! This place had been on my bookmarks for years and one fine evening when we were particularly hungry we decided what better day than today to stuff our faces . We came in on Sunday evening and there was a 20 minute wait before we were seated . Annoyingly there were plenty of open tables however . The setting is a little different than most Korean BBQ joints -its not all you can eat and keep that in mind before you go . The various meat options come with a price and you can pick what you like otherwise there is a couple mix n match combos as well . Menu also has a selection of a la carte Korean dishes . We got the BQ Combo and a side of Korean pancakes . The meats though limited in selection comes in huge quantity and it was definitely more than we can eat .The grill was a little wonky at first but turned out ok after a while . The combo comes with a bowl of rice , stew and side dishes -mostly pickled veggies .The pork bulgogi was our favorite . The good thing about the fixed menu is that you can take the rest of it to-go which most KBBQ place don't offer . Service is alright , they do what you ask for and that's about it . Wont come check up on you till you ask . we also got a traditional Korean drink that went very well with the food . This is one of our go to spots. It always reminds me of one of the nangmyun spots I would visit in Seoul. Food is always really good. They have a good variety of cuts for grill without it being overwhelming. The Doenjang Jjigae is very good, usually it's pretty bland at gogi places but not here. In summer the Nangmyun is probably the best in town, super refreshing. Seems like they have a new effort in delivering service as well. I usually don't care about this but service here is very good. read more

Not bad! I'm rather spoiled from my experiences in LA so I went in with my expectation moderated. The interior is big and spacious, lots of tables and corners to seat big parties. Not too busy on a weekend either. We're seated and served our banchans promptly. Most of them were average, alas. Special shoutout to the bean sprouts though. Menu was decent. A selection of a la carte Korean dishes and meat for KBBQ. We went with Combo A and it definitely was sufficient for 2 people. Meat was pretty good in terms of quality; we liked the marinated pork the best. It's soso tender. The Soybean soup that came with the combo was also well-seasoned and tasty. The grill was super clean and had a nice heating throughout which made the cooking and eating experience better. A bit too many fineprints that you'd rather not see like getting a limited refill of the banchans and rice before you have to pay extra but what can you do. We also got a side of Steamed Egg which was very nice. Always love steamed egg with KBBQ. Nowhere near KBBQ in LA but it does get the job done and I don't think there's any spot like that out here in OR. I am sorry to say that there are no legit Korean BBQ (KBBQ) places in Oregon like LA Ca. If you are choosing one it would be choosing from the best out of the 5 worst places. I can say this with confidence because when you eat KBBQ in LA Ca. there are a lot more side dishes and offerings. Also, the quality of meat is much better. LA Ca. is the "Mecca" of KBBQ in the USA. This spot is probably one of the better ones because of the quality of meats. It's is a little more expensive than other KBBQ joints around. I am disappointed that they do not offer lettuce. I mean ssam is a huge part of eating KBBQ!?! Ssam (), meaning "wrapped", refers to a dish in Korean cuisine in which, usually, leafy vegetables are used to wrap a piece of meat such as pork, beef or other filling. It is often accompanied by a condiment known as ssamjang and can also be topped with raw or cooked garlic, onion, jalapeño, or a banchan (small side dish) such as kimchi. Ssam is usually bite-sized to prevent spilling out the fillings. Don't forget to ask for sliced garlic and jalapeños and ssamjang. I usually like to grill the garlic and jalapeños and eat it with the meat. They will not offer it to you if you don't ask for it (it's part of the meal people just don't know). This will kick thing's up a notch when eating your meats. Trust me, your mind and tastebuds will say "this is DANG! Good!". Yes, the service is slow so you have to be the aggressor and hunt them down. The best way to get their attention is say 'Yo-gi-yo!' I guarantee you will get someone's attention. Please say it in a respectful way or they will curse you out under their breath. 'Yo-gi-yo!' (Over here!) In South Korea 'Yogiyo!' literally means 'over here!'. It's a call you'll hear most echoing across a busy Korean restaurant. read more

This is the best Korean BBQ in the Beaverton area. It's not unlimited, but it's worth it. We opted for the topokki, the combo A, and the cold beef noodle soup. The kimchi and cold noodle soup were the standouts, but everything was amazing. Whatever their soy dipping sauce is made of needs to be studied because it's seriously delicious and made all the difference. Somehow we were lucky enough to only have a short wait on a Friday night, and the service was so attentive. There is a call button next to each table so you'll never be left waiting long. The restaurant decor was on par with every other Korean bbq restaurant I've ever been before; nothing too special but I love how they always have k-pop music videos playing on the TVs. Went here with my girlfriend while she was visiting and right when they opened. I believe it was a La cart for kbbq, and we ordered some other dishes as well. We had no complaints about the taste of everything. I don't think it's all you can eat, but trust me, the set menus for a La cart kbbq will fill you up. It seemed like the place was family run, and the servers were sweet Korean ajummas. Price, quality, quantity: 8.5/10 For the set menu we got for a la cart kbbq, I believe it was a fair price point for quality and quantity we got for the meats.
