This company is HORRIBLE. We had an event, booked them, paid a deposit and they NO SHOWED. We were left with 50 people to feed and zero food truck. It was so embarrassing and the worst service ever. Went out of their way to make a special Mother's Day treat! I promised my mom BBQ from Up 'N Smoke for Mother's Day. She's been in COVID lockdown for a year so this was to be her first meal from outside her assisted living in all that time. I put in an order for a rack of ribs a week in advance and checked back the morning of Mother's Day. Up 'N Smoke was planning to be open but had just found out the whole food cart pod was to be closed for the day. Not wanting to disappoint and deprive my mom of this treat, Up 'N Smoke fired up the smoker just to make my order that morning and arranged a way for me to pick it up. FANTASTIC! Had to use a place holder for this review as it was not in their usual spot, as the came to the hot sauce expo. This place has some good stuff here, meat was amazing, and 8$ for pulled pork nachos isnt a bad deal. All the fixings were great, salsa, sour cream, queso, all the goods. They also had some amaing sliders, and provided some for the slider eat off!! Those people didnt look happy, though i would have been (took 2nd in the taco of hell contest!! Hollla) Now the bad, when you mix origins, you get some polar opposite results. Here was the bad, everything they did in their lane was amazing... they used store bought crap corn chips though!! We went to Gig Salad to vet a quote for a neighborhood summer party with a food truck. This company was quick to respond and provided us their direct email address. To get things moving quickly, I emailed them outside of Gig Salad which was my biggest mistake now known. They provided me a food truck menu and with our budget set to $500 max this was an incredible deal! I gave them the $500 deposit and this is when they tell me if we want a truck it is $1500! I immediately said NO WAY and asked for a deposit refund. This was June 2023. Gig Salad won't back me because I went outside of their forum. AMEX won't back me because it said no refund on the deposit. I took them to court and in November 2023 I received a small claims court JDGMT IN MY FAVOR and I REMAIN UNPAID. Mandy Wegman said on her way out she wasn't going to pay me and she has her partner, Rich Tilman, wrapped around her finger and he seems most reasonable. This review is for the two sandwiches and sides... The Chicken Bomb: Bacon wrapped, juicy chicken breast stuffed with a Jalapeno on a soft and chewy roll. Has the perfect amount of kick in the mouth. One of my favorites on the menu. It was off the menu for a bit but brought back by popular demand. The Pull Pork Sandwich: Smoked low and slow for hours in its juices and special rub with a little kick of spice on the same soft chewy roll. Made from scratch baked beans with pineapple chunks to add more flavor for the taste buds. Homemade slaw to tame the heat. Roasted Corn with secret rub. The pulled pork nachos were amazing! This truck was at a sporting event in St. Johns and I am so glad they were there. The food was so good. That was several days ago and I still am wanting more! The pulled pork was juicy and really flavorful. There were a lot of other items on the menu which I hope I am able to try out in the future. Food trucks are a cool thing. With they're easy access to great food, outdoorsy attitude and in and out vibe...they are a do for sure. But it's hard for me to get off my butt sometimes to drive waaay downtown to the oceans of FT's (yes I overthink the drive but geez it's highway 26...shoot me now). And...if your a smart cookie, you might think to keep your truck here in town on the westside, right smack in the heart of good ol biz like Intel and Nike etc. just like these smarty pants, Up n Smoke BBQ. :) I like baked beans, and I like cole slaw. But I LOVE theirs! Not your average beans, they are more like a tex spicy bean, I don't know how they do it. Really. The slaw is downright legit with a milky and tang just what it is supposed to be. Yes. Yes. On to the BBQ....serious melt in your mouth ribs and brisket to crave by an hour after I left. They slathered the ribs with their homemade made with love BBQ sauce that was to die for!! Of course you can get as much or less of sauce as you want. Me? I'm a saucy girl who likes it saucy. Yay! They also have freakin awesome sonaran dogs. (I think I spelled it right :/) but how can you not be happy with a kosher dog wrapped in bacon?!? Hah. All in all when a BBQ comes a calling this is where we will go!! Only thing is they might be easy to miss, so keep a lookout for them on TV highway right next to the Aloha surplus store. It's worth it. :D read more

First off: The owners are extremely friendly and good spirited people who take pride in their food. The Izzy dog is OMG mouth watering. Kosher dog, wrapped in bacon and surrounded by pulled pork and cheese. Their chicken bacon bombs I hear are BOMB.COM and their brisket too. I may try those after I've had my fix of Izzy Dawgs. I can't stop craving those dawgs. The beans are amazing. Spicy, and with pineapple chunks in it. My husband and I fought over the last bite. Go there and give them a shot. We were driving home when we found them the first time, now we check facebook all the time to find them. We ordered Ribs, Brisket, Cole Slaw and Baked Beans. We are a family of cooks so I can be a little harsh in my reviews, but this food is good. Ribs the meat fell off the bone, it was so good, they use their own BBQ sauce, so its not the run of the mill boring. I had the Brisket as I don't eat pork, and wow, tender, a little fatty (it should be) and so tasty. Then then we ordered baked beans, and freaking amazing, loved them. The food was so good I ordered it for my sons graduation party and everyone their raved about how good it was. Pros: Not just pork ( I don't eat pork), delicious sandwiches and ribs, nice people Cons: Take out only, as it is a food truck, sides can be a bit small. read more

Best BBQ around! Sonaran dog is epic... its a bacon wrapped beef dog topped with lettuce, tomato, mozzarella cheese, refried beans, soaran sauce, and fresh homemade salsa (which is incredible). This place is awesome! The good is delicious and the portions are nearly enough for a good coma. The staff who run the truck are extremely friendly. I had the chicken bacon bomb and baked beans. This truck was at an event at our school, and after reading reviews I was excited to try it. The pulled pork was dry and lacked flavor (though from pictures, I see it is simmering in a delicious looking sauce that we didn't get to enjoy). We ordered a side of mac and cheese and I was so bummed to see the dry, over cooked, sticky, cheeseless mushy Mac and cheese that came out from the window. I had high hopes of a creamy, flavorful homemade Mac. Disappointing all around, which is too bad, because I think this is a local family business I would have liked to support. read more
