Ran into a good friend while enjoying some fine bbq. Always pleasurable dining at Busters.

Always a good choice for a variety of bbq. Typically go with the 3 meat combo with a beef rib. They just changed it to where you can't add a beef rib to the combo, it must be aka carte for $9.99 per beef rib. Rib could've been a little more meaty and worth the price. Love the feel of the spot.

Baby backs full order. Not worth $29.00. Use to be meaty not now. Not worth the money

I have visit this location since 2001. Since Our office was not to far away I would say at least 50 times or more.Food and portions were great. Last two times ordered a full rack baby back ribs to go. See Pic latest purchase. $29.00. Ribs use to be meaty but now very lean on meat. I was big fan but now never going back.

We're not in Texas, but gosh darn it, it feels like Texas all up in here. Don't think I can find another bbq restaurant in Portland that has that Texas feel quite like Buster's BBQ. The meat are all done to my liking. The chicken is juicy, not dry, skin is seasoned liberally. Brisket are not too fatty, but tender and flakes like it's been sitting in the smoker for hours and hours. Also, not too salty. Perfect smokey profile. The hot links are just hot links, but it really hit the spot for me. The sides - I chose mash potatoes and Mac and cheese. These were nothing to write home about. For a bbq staple in the Portland area, I think this place delivers, especially since they're a chain that has been around for so long.

Didn't even stay to order. I'm just not a fan of cafeteria style dining. Get a tray walk around pick up food that has been sitting and then go sit and eat. It just has never been my thing. The place had a smell to it when I walked in as well... tables were filled with dirty dishes, and over all I just got this feeling of it not being clean. I left after only being here for about a min... just not my kind of place.

This is how they served it, ice cold and flavorless. I spoke with who seemed to be the manager, and kindly expressed my concerns about the food being cold and just overall not good. He argued and argued. Called me a liar. I just sat down with my food. And didn't provide a solution. Would never return unfortunately...

Came here with my siblings and was pleasantly surprised! We always pass by Busters and finally decided to give it a try. It is a cafeteria style restaurant where you grab a tray and utensils and let them know which entree and sides you'd like. Staff was friendly and had our food prepared very quickly I decided on the brisket sandwich and the bbq beans. Holy smokes the brisket was sooo yummy! It was so tender and flavorful. I agree with other reviewers that the sides are not very great, my beans were okay and had small pieces of bacon and ground beef. My siblings really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich also but what we really loved was the fixings bar. They have bbq sauce, pickles, cucumbers, onions, and more. My fave bbq sauce was the chipotle mustard

Stoped by Buster's Texas style BBQ assuming it was just a bar but it's a little rustic barn serving cafeteria style bbq. Once you walk into the establishment you'll see a sign which will direct you to the saloon which is to your left in the back or the line to the bbq where you'll order Al La carte style. Don't forget Utensils & trays when you first get in line. Meat choices such a brisket, ribs which are pork or beef. We got end beef brisket & beef ribs. Enjoyed the beef brisket but wasn't a fan of the beef Ribs. We then moved towards the side options & you have your standard bbq sides such as bbq beans, Cole slaw & Mac and cheese to name a few. Was not impressed with the sides due to lack of flavor. Then after that you'll pick out drinks and check out. They serve ciders, wines and beer. At first we didn't know where the saloon was so we didn't check it out. I'd go back and get the brisket but that's about it. They also serve buttery toast with your bbq.

They catered a Celebration of Life for us and the experience was superb. They were the only restaurant we could find that offered a complete catering experience. The basic service included an hour to set up on their own tables and three servers stayed for an hour & a half. We ordered 3 meats & 2 sides which came with bread, ice water, and our choice of two beverages, all the condiments you would expect, and they even brought the smoker, which made a huge impression on everyone. They were very polite and very helpful and even helped us wrap the leftovers and put them in our oven. The portions were generous and we had so many leftovers. The food was hot and fresh and they also provided all of the utensils for serving and dining. If I ever have an event like this again, I'm definitely going with Busters. Other caterers only offered to drop off the food which would've left us with quite a mess to deal with and with Busters we were left with nothing to do.

Expensive, small portions, overcooked flavorless green beans. Service is lunch-line style. Ribs too spicy for 9 year old.

If they bottled it and sold it, I'm sure it would fly off the shelves. Next up, the baked beans - they are out of this world. Probably the best baked beans I've had. The Tri-tip was also fantastic and paired well with the bbq sauce & beans. However, the cornbread was inedible and we tossed it. Mac and cheese was no good either but we ate some of it. Chicken was not the right flavor or texture for me but that could be personal preference. I look forward to trying their lunch specials and more. It looks like they are open for lunch and close for a couple hours in the afternoon and then open again in the evening for dinner. Seems like lunch can be ordered at the walk-up window by the smokers but for dinner you'll need to walk up the building past the nail salon to the bar to order. We hit them up around five pm on Friday night and only a handful of people were inside upon arrival. However, the parking lot was full and by the time our order was ready, a bunch of families were piling in. Our order took about ten minutes to be ready and was packaged in nice, more expensive to-go containers. There are tables and bar seating inside and a parking lot out front. Prices are what you would expect for bbq. We ordered the "Family Dinner" and it could definitely work for four people, if you ate everything.
