Parking is limited and difficult to find. The interior has plenty of tables for mid sized groups. The ambiance is good. Noise level is average and music isn't too loud. Beef & mushroom soon doo boo (5/5): absolute perfection. I asked for very mild and they on point. They even gave me more than enough extra gochujang which I ended up using. The tofu was so delicious and really soft. Beef and mushroom were a good texture too. Don't even get me started with the portion size. The bowl was as big as my hand (about 6/7 inches or 16 cm in diameter). Overall, Nak Won has some delicious Korean food. The portion sizes are big and service is great too.
Fun to eat here ~ kpop music & videos for background, lively lip smacking noise during peak hours, unique menu names to make you smile. Banchan ~ fresh, fresh & tasty. Refills are served happily. Soups ~ giant. Largest bowls in Portland. Piping bubbling hot. Broth is delish. Can make to spice level desire. Service ~ the lone gentleman server is awesome. Laid back and friendly. Do not know how he hustles so fast to all the tables, does the job of 3 servers with poise & coolness. Happily satisfied.
Another great Korean spot in Beaverton! I've had this spot bookmarked for a while and finally had the chance to stop by. I was captivated by their selection of banchan and it didn't disappoint, the potato salad was amazing! The seafood pancake was light and eggy, loaded with seafood. I asked if the military soup was spicy and was told no... but it was a bit spicy hahaha It did pair very very well with the rice cake soup, light and loaded with beef. Definitely will be coming back! Note: This spot is only open during dinner so plan accordingly! Staff was friendly and came by a few times to ask if we wanted banchan refills. There is street parking nearby.
We had family in town and selected Nak Won based on their excellent ratings. It was easy to get a table on a Wednesday night and loved all the pictures on the menu - made it so easy to select what looked good. We selected the steamed pot stickers and green onion pancake for our appetizers and honestly combined with the bulgogi, the banchan, and the rice it was more than enough for 3 of us and even had some leftovers! The staff were incredibly pleasant, enjoyed the music playing (but not too loud that we couldn't hear each other; yay), and the atmosphere was cozy and authentic. We'll definitely be back.
Had to come back again. We were in the neighborhood. Ordered similar to last time because we love it. Same great service and great food. K-pop on the TVs. Looking forward to the next time and I think we will try something different.
Overall, it was a great place -- I would say a 4.5/5! We were running some errands in the area and wanted to try something new and were so glad we went here. The food was served hot and quick! (Do we see the boiling stew?! - LOVE). The banchan was really good and came out almost right after they took our order. Service was amazing! A very nice man constantly checked up on us and made the experience even better! The ambiance is cozy, there was natural light from windows but also warm lighting in addition. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning!
BEST KOREAN RESTAURANT IN OREGON.... My girlfriend and I have only come here two times, but every time there is a long wait to get in because it is a real authentic Korean restaurant that does not disappoint!
One of our favorite Korean restaurants in the PDX metro area. Nak Won has a nice selection of well prepared, delicious Ban Chan that complements the main dishes. Today, we enjoyed the spicy pork, bulgogi beef and the Mackerel. Service, as always is fast, friendly and efficient.
One of the best Korean restaurants in Beaverton! I came here one evening about 30 minutes before it was supposed to close. Normally I feel super bad about coming so close to closing time and typically try to make my meal quick, but the staff was super friendly. They have plenty of seating inside and you can choose whether to eat al carte or grill meat. Service is quick. We ordered two soups and a platter of bulgogi. I was thinking that it was a bit pricy at first, but compared to the portion size that you get, it is well worth it. The portions are huge. All of the food was so hearty, seasoned to perfection, and delicious. Banchan was good too and the staff was very attentive to ask if we wanted any more when we ran out. Amazing service, huge portions, and delicious food. I would highly recommend.
Nakwon has been on my to try list for the longest so I finally decided to give it a go. There was already a line out the door even tho I came 10 mins after opening and they open at 5PM so we had to wait for the second wave and it was about 45 mins of waiting. It's just first comes first serve and you can leave your name and number on the wait list. With limited opening hours and small space inside so the long line makes sense. Try to decide what you're gonna order while waiting so it'll be faster once you're seated. Food comes out fast and the portion is so much bigger than I thought! Great banchan variety, we got bulgogi, tteokbokki, and soondubu. Everything was good bulgogi was a bit dry for my liking. Overall great food with decent prices but would I come back? Maybe if I'm in the area and there's no wait lol. Note: Plan accordingly and be prepare for long wait and good luck finding parking :v
My husband and I had another great dinner here! We again got beef bibimbap and the sassy pork, and added jap chae to the lineup too. Everything tasted great, and the portions are very generous, so we'll have a meal or two of leftovers which we love. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. This is our favorite Korean spot in the area, and we'll definitely be back!
Every time I try to come here, there's a long wait. Luckily, I came on a Thursday night at 7pm and there was no wait time! We got japchae, seafood pancake, and tofu stew. Food came out so quickly and portions were huge! I was pleasantly surprised. The seafood pancake kind of had a 'previously frozen' taste to it so it didn't seem like it was made fresh but wasn't too bad. Servers were attentive and checked on us frequently. Would love to come back to try other dishes on their menu!
My sisters and I come to this location quite often and it has never disappoint us. The owner is quite amazing and has a very good memory of us whenever we visit. We would always order the tofu soup, a bibimbop, a seafood pancake and a braised beef rib soup. This soup in the past was a special item that wasn't on the menu. Because we come here often, we learned of this dish. The ban chan spread is always very flavorful. Once we are finished with one, we can ask for another. The favorite for this visit is the braised beef rub soup! Oh my gosh, the meat falls off the bone deliciousnes! Highly recommended. The tofu soup and the bibimbop along with the seafood pancake are all good as well. The interior of the space has wooden tables and chairs. There are paintings and tv's on the walls to give you something to look at. Overall, always a great experience and we will be back. read more
Very friendly service and great place for couples or groups or family to dine out Authentic Korean food and some staple meals, especially their grilled mackerel!! Always would choose to come here for comfort meal and do pay attention to their hours, close early by 8ish and opens only during dinner hours after 5pm. 10/10 highly recommend! read more
Staple place to go to for Korean food in Beaverton. They have pretty limited hours and gets busy pretty quick so you'll have to make sure to go early. Ngl their potato salad is so good, one of my fav side dishes to get. But they give you a bunch of banchan to eat with your food. The kimchi soup definitely hits the spot when you're wanting something warm. The camera fogged up so quick when I tried to take a pic but I swear it's worth it. read more

There seems to always be a wait for this place on weekend nights, but it is totally worth it! There is a sign-up sheet on the wall when you walk in to put your name, party size, and phone number. I recommend planning ahead and waiting out your table at one of the nearby bars. Both times I have been the wait was over 1 hr. The food and service are both terrific! The portions are definitely large enough to share; even the appetizers were big. I will definitely be coming back here. read more
My family and I wanted Korean food one evening, and I had heard good things about Nak Won. I'm so glad we ended up going here because the food was all super tasty and up to our expectations. The prices here may seem high, but the portions are wildly big. I think each order could have fed up to two people. We got the Galbi, the Beef and Mushroom Soft Tofu Soup, Soybean Paste Soup, The Remedy (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup), and Stone Pot Rice. We had five people, and this was more than enough for all of us. I really enjoyed the Galbi and the Soft Tofu Soup. The Galbi was marinated super well, and the soup had a generous portion of beef. The soybean paste soup was also very flavorful, and both of the soups were literally served in huge stone pot bowls. Service was quick and friendly throughout our meal. It was fairly crowded even on a Thursday evening, but definitely an awesome spot for Korean food staples. read more

Wow! Stumbled in on a family vacation and it didn't disappoint. The sampler/starter with all the little bits was delicious. The kimchi was amazing; I think I get why people love it. We ordered the original beef dish with a spicy soup and my gosh it was so. good. Fresh, and complex with incredible flavors. I couldn't stop eating!!! Our server was attentive, the food was affordable and delicious. What more could you ask for? read more
This place does get busy around 5pm on a Thursday evening but luckily we were there maybe 45 mins from opening and got seated. It is very lively and loud in there so it was a little hard to hear across the table without feeling like you're yelling haha. We ordered 3 main dishes with 2 appetizers and all the portions were huge! Definitely worth for the price & the tastes were well flavored for each dish. read more

This is by far, our favorite spot to get Korean food near where we live. We get it. Prices are going up everywhere. Here, we just roll with it, and so does Nak Won. Menus/prices change and they continually innovate and elevate with the times. During this visit, the missus and I shared a Stone pot: Perfect Trio and Seafood Pancake. Food was wonderful as always. Service was wonderful as always. read more
This was my first Korean restaurant I ever tried and boy have I been back many times! Their main draw is that they give huge portions for their food, so come hungry or at least get ready to take half of your meal home. They usually have a wait but it's never been more than 20 minutes on week nights recently. This time I ordered a Kalguksu with Chicken ( the knife cut noodles). It's definitely a comfort food and makes you feel warm and cozy. They give you some red pepper paste and sauce if you want to add some spice to it. Overall, it's a dish I enjoy getting from here but I don't have an all time favorite dish here. Their quality is great so you won't be disappointed no matter what you order. read more

Good korean food! I had the tteokbokki and bibimbap - both were great. We had to wait a bit for the food since we came at a busier time, but service was good overall. The bibimbap portions were smaller than I expected, but still delicious. The ambiance was also very clean and nice. read more
Next to one of my favorite Korean restaurants, 1st st pocha, lies Nak Won! Their portions are very generous and it feels very home-y when eating! The place is ambient with chatter, glass clanking, and just a great time. We felt like the side dishes could be a little better, but that shouldn't take away from the overall experience! read more

Probably one of the best Korean foods I've ever had in Portland, but it was worth waiting in line because smelling the food while waiting made it all much more worth it! The service was very accommodating and kind and helpful and always asking if you're enjoying your food and if you need anything else from time to time. The ambience was pleasant and there's K-pop and videos on three different TVs around the restaurant to keep you entertained while you're waiting, eating and enjoying your food, or just having a conversation with friends and family. This is a great place to bring friends and family, because the plates are the size of sharing portions. read more

I've been trying to find a good spot for soondobu for a while. And I think I just did. I've had this place bookmarked on my Yelp for months but it's been one of those "only if we're in the area" type of decisions. I'm so happy I got to go here because now- I would drive here anytime I'm craving soondobu. Parking: street. Be ready to walk- most of the restaurants on this street tend to get busy on the weekend. Service: AMAZING. We came on a Saturday night. Checked in around 5:45 pm and got seated an hour later. There were 2 guys running the floor taking orders and bussing tables. Some other workers came out to deliver orders too. Even though they were obviously having a busy night, they kept a uplifting and welcoming vibe. Be ready to wait though. We didn't mind it at all considering how many workers were working to keep a very busy night going. Food: SPICE LEVEL: 4/5. For those who love spicy, I rate it 2/5. Their banchan is so delicious and flavorful. We got the beef bibimpap and able to spice it up to our liking. Spicy pork belly was the perfect complimentary to the beef bibimpap. It was sweet and spicy and yummy. Their soondobu- SPOT ON. This was definitely the star of the night. The base wasn't watery and gave out so much flavor. They added so much tofu rather than a few pieces, which was a huge plus for me. Some other popular foods we seen being ordered were tteokboki, Korean pancake, and table top kbbq. I can see us coming back again for sure. read more

After reading the great reviews, we decided to try this place tonight and were pleasantly surprised. We tried the black bean noodles, the stone pot rice, and the steamed dumplings and loved everything! The vibe is very home town and the food is definitely comfort food. Much of the food was new and unfamiliar to us but we were treated as special guests and shown how to eat the food. They were very attentive and happily answered our questions. I can't wait to go back and try some more new things! read more

Ok so I reaaally wanted to give Nak Won a higher rating, but alas the food just didn't hit the right note for me. My friend and I dropped by Nak Won on a weeknight and were able to snag the last empty table before a crowd petered in woohoo! We were able to put our order in quite quickly but it did take a looong time for food to come. We went with the tofu stew for my friend, dolsot bibimbap for me, kimchi jeon, and ddeokbokki. I am a huge fan of spicy rice cakes ddeokbokki, but gosh they made it way too sweet here. The glass noodles, the sweetness, and the overall flavor of the rice cakes was a total letdown for me. The kimchi jeon, which I was also equally as excited for, was also a bit too fishy tasting for me. My friend loved her tofu stew and my bibimbap was good as well. The banchan was plentiful and we both enjoyed the variety and options. The portions here are HUGE so you will definitely have leftovers, esp if you're like me and order way too much for your own good l o l This place fills up really fast and they don't take reservations so just be aware if you go during a very busy time. Parking is street parking though you can easily find a place to park near it. Overall, Nak Won is good but not great. Portions are giant, prices are fair, and service is very friendly. read more

The Galbi was a showstopper. The meat was quite lean - little to no fatty areas. It was clearly quite high quality. The portion size was really generous (think 2-3 people). The sauteed onions were also great. The banchan was excellent - my favorites were the fish cakes, potato salad, and kimchi. Took off 1 star for the long wait and nonexistent ventilation. It was visibly smoky inside. read more

Ask the Community - Nak Won Korean Restaurant
Do you make gimbap and hotteok? I cannot find a Korean restaurant that makes these.
Not many Korean restaurants make kimbop for sure cause they don’t have to I believe…you could find some in any Korean market but they r not that decent and I assume you know this already…
As of 11/21/2021, is outdoor seating still available? If so, is the space large enough to…
Well we do have outside sitting available but they are all community tables which means whoever comes first gets the table and some tables are big enough to accommodate a full size stroller for sure but the downside is in order to eat outside you…
Looks like they are open and taking orders. Does anyone know if they changed their phone# or if they stop taking orders by a certain time?
Is Nak Won still operating? I've been there twice after 5pm and it was closed.
We ran into the same thing. No note on the door saying when they would be open or that they're on different hours. I hope they are ok.
Does anyone know if Nak Won is open for to go orders during this Stay Home restrictions time?
Their phone appears disconnected and when we went by they were closed during their normal open hours. No note on the door or anything, so I hope they are ok.
What is the Beaverton Restaurant Week Special?
Do they accept reservations?
no, it's first come first serve on the list and you have to be there while waiting
