Delicious food! Hot and tasted fresh. Warm, inviting restaurant. Will definitely be back. Service was friendly.

This is sesame chicken? I don't think so.

Oh Yens. What has become of you. Used to be our go to place, but wow has it slipped! Tonight was the final straw. My dad liked his shrimp fried rice, but the pork fried rice was....not good, to say the least. The pork was SUPER dry and had a weird, sickly-sweet taste to it. We ate about 1/4 of it and threw the rest out. The kicker, though, was the "sesame chicken" that was anything but. Instead of what most people would expect (brown, sticky, sweet sauce with sesame seeds, we got plain breaded fried chicken pieces (like you would get if you ordered sweet and sour) with.....3 plastic containers of ketchup on the side. Not a sesame seed in sight. I thought they might have made a mistake and sent us sweet and sour sauce by accident, but no. It's ketchup. When I called, they tried to tell me that this was normal and that it was "homemade" ketchup, and that they include it with soy sauce and sesame seeds (which weren't there) so we can make our own sauce to put on the chicken. Yeah right, pull the other leg, it plays jingle bells. The upside is that they refunded the cost of the sesame chicken, which is nice becasue I tried a piece of the chicken and it was GREASY as it could be. If I had tried the rice before calling, I would have asked for a refund for it as well. Pretty terrible, and it pains me to say that because I used to love this place. Do better.

This place has horrible food and service. The food was greasy and the flavors were off. The large portions did not make up for the low food quality. Also, $6 for a mediocre cup of egg soup is ridiculous. Never going back again.

One of my friends from Ohio loves Chinese American food, including Lemon Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Egg Foo Young, Broccoli Chicken and Egg Drop Soup. Yen's is his favorite Chinese restaurant in the Portland Metro Area. I, on the other hand like Shiitake Black Mushroom Beef, War Wonton, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and Moo Goo Gai Pan. As a Chinese American, I also love their Tomato Beef Curry Chow Mein. Chinese American food is it's own authentic cuisine. It's down home country comfort food for some of us. Yen's is our favorite Chinese restaurant to meet half way since the menu is quite diverse, and the portions are large. If you don't see what you want on the menu, you can ask them if they can make it for you, especially if you know the Chinese name. For diversity, they have an American Food section on their menu, which includes hamburgers, fries, mashed potatoes, grilled cheese sandwiches, fish & chips, and chicken nuggets. This works when your dinner date only eats American food. I must admit, Yen's food is really good. Yen's is open for indoor dining. They have 4 rows of booths, which helps with social distancing and privacy. Yen's also has a large private dining room perfect for meetings or parties. Diagonal street parking makes it easy to park.

General tso lunch special. Lots of food. (My bowl from takeout)

The chicken chow mein is the best. The veggies are crisp and crunching and the flavor is excellent.

Very bland tasteless food. I will look elsewhere for some flavor. There is no seasoning that I could taste at all.

We had the General Tso's, Kung Pao, broccoli beef, family mix, and cashew chicken. Also added garlic green beans and lettuce wraps. The General Tso's was the best I've ever had Anywhere. Not breaded (a good thing) but nicely fried with a good spicy sauce. King pao was also great but pretty spicy--or maybe I just ate too many of the dried tai chilies . Highly recommended

For a restaurant located in a busy shopping center near Walmart, Dragonfly hits all the high points in my opinion. I love that it is family-owned and run too. The most popular dish here is General Tso's Chicken and it gets rave reviews but I tend to steer clear of "cultural fusion" dishes so I didn't try it but it did look good. I ordered a few dishes starting with the Happy Family ($22): prawns, scallops, chicken, beef, and veggies and it was epic. Kinda the best of everything stir-fried perfectly in a light savory sauce. Portion size was huge so I nicknamed it "Happy Leftovers." Also ordered the Kung Pao Chicken ($19): juicy, tender chicken pieces stir-fried with peanuts, garlic, ginger, vegetables, and numbing chili peppers originating from Sichuan cuisine. Not too spicy though and I could handle it just fine. Third dish I ordered was Scallion Beef ($19) also a very popular dish at Dragonfly. Very tender slices of beef, velveted with cornstarch stir-fried with scallions, shallots, ginger and garlic and a brown sauce that tasted like it had sesame oil, and oyster or hoisin sauce, thickened with cornstarch. Just right, not gloopy. To round out the meal, I chose an order of garlic green beans ($13): green beans stir-fried with plenty of minced garlic and ginger a simple seasoning because who can have too much garlic, right? Parking is easy and right outside the door. For those needing accessible information, there are absolutely no steps or stairs and spaces between the tables inside easily accommodate wheel chairs, scooters and walkers. It looks like they have or are going to have a few outside tables for when the weather permits (here in Oregon that may not be until next May -LOL). I really enjoyed my first visit and will definitely be going back for more.

There is one huge…read morereason, they use significantly less oil in their dishes but still use quality ingredients where the flavor stands out without the oil. Typically at most Chinese restaurants, especially fried dishes, you'll see a pool of oil at the bottom of the dish. This is not the case here, and their sauces also keep their oil usage to the minimum. The food doesn't feel as heavy, and they nail most of their Szechuan flavors well. Their service is always fast and friendly. There is a gentleman in glasses that is always happy to serve and answer your questions. He is always happy to pack your food for you to go if you have leftovers as well, which is a lovely gesture. They have very cute decorations inside, from lucky cats with fortune cookies in their mouths, or a painted wall with a Panda cooking delicious food. I'd steer clear from their soup dishes, most of them lack flavor. I highly recommend their Chopped Pepper Fish and their Jade Tofu items though. Very flavorful and not very heavy! Plenty of parking is available which is lovely for eating in Portland, do not let this spot be missed if you've never tried it!

We ordered it with no additional requests, but the owner let us know that we could adjust it to be milder or more intense depending on our preference. We also tried the spicy fried chicken. The seasoning was flavorful,l and the chicken was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The bok choy was nicely cooked with the right amount of garlic. The portion sizes were generous for the price. I'm not very good with extremely spicy food, so I ended up drinking a lot of water. The staff kept coming by to refill my glass without me even asking, which I really appreciated. Everyone was very friendly. The restaurant itself is casual, bright, and spacious.
