Moved to Oregon 10 years ago and this is by far the BEST Chinese food I've had in the greater Portland area, if not all of Oregon. The owners are very friendly and genuinely care about your dining experience. Seriously, no matter what you order, you'll love what you get. It's a safe option and it's what I crave when I'm happy, sad, sick, and everything else in between. read more

Hair in the food. Multiple entrees. Really disappointed and disgusted. The shrimp dish was also not fresh. The worst part came as the server presented the bill... and scrolled TikTok on her phone while she ran the charge. If I were cheap, I'd have just walked out. Never again. Never. Again. Will not give this place a dime. Avoid it. read more

Just order the green beans chicken and rice!!!!! So good. Every time Very consistent. read more

It's a really sketchy bar. Bad drinks and it falls under the category dirty dive. Plus the bartender Jamie was rude as hell.

I've been a customer since the 90's and this is the very best Chinese food you can order anywhere hands down! Having moved here from CA. in the early 80's finding Chinese food that was as good as in San Francisco was a bit of task, but the Royal Panda is it! This is exactly what I expect in a restaurant serving Chinese food. The service is supreme and the people are very friendly. read more

First time here . They have great lunch specials many choices. They served us delicious hot tea to start and finish with two hot plates of steaming goodness. All round great service and amazing food. The restaurant is very clean and great ambiance. read more

The service here is bad i had ordered food worth $50 to have it delivered And was arguing back-and-forth for it to be remade or refund an immediately told me I was wrong and was lying and just wanted free food which I had receipts to show them that I have not received which they just ended up telling to leave and never come back never in my life had received that type of treatment by an employees if I can give negative I would read more

Full disclosure: this review is based on my food and drink experiences in the bar, because I haven't ever eaten in the restaurant itself. Okay, let's be real -- the bar at the Royal Panda is a dive bar. But don't let that keep you away. If you like that kind of place, it's a good place for drinking, with lottery and a pool table too. If I get something to eat, it is almost always the potstickers, which are handmade in house and are some of the best around -- seriously. Take this from someone who finishes a plate of potstickers and starts planning the next time he can order them. Their Chinese entrees are okay in my opinion, nothing to get excited about one way or the other. Except I am not a super fan of the way they do egg foo yung -- they are kind of dense, with to me an odd texture. Other items are fine. So I recommend The Royal Panda to those who like bars with Chinese food. read more

Royal Panda - Specials board in the bar. December 2019. - Chinese Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Good restaurant with a good dive bar on the side. The food is good easy parking. I meet a few friends here for dinner and a few games of pool often. It's better than average but doesn't scream 5 stars. The staff is great! read more

We ordered via a 3rd party delivery service. Having never ordered from Royal Panda before, we were impressed. Mongolian Beef was very flavorful but had way too many onions for our liking. Next time, we will ask for easy onions. Otherwise, caramelized and yummy. Cashew chicken (made as requested without vegetables) was really yummy. And the mushu pork was a nice combo of pork and veggies. I don't eat the pancakes, but they looked fine. White rice was fresh and good. Definitely will order again from them. read more

This is a great place for lunch. It's extremely inexpensive and the food is very good. They have $10 lunch deals and $11.50 combo lunch deals. They can also accommodate large groups. read more

Royal Panda - Hot and Sour - Chinese Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Hot and sour soup was excellent... I had the house chow fun with steak and shrimp... it was delicious... I couldn't have been happier and I took at least half home... I totally recommend this restaurant and will definitely revisit... read more

I really like this place. It's one of the few Chinese restaurants in the area that serves a delicious vegetarian egg foo young with lots of veggies. The ambiance is relaxing with pretty crystal chandeliers and pink linens on the tables. The honey walnut chicken or shrimp are also very delicious entrees. Portions are large, and you probably will have leftovers. Tea also is complimentary with the meal. A lot of good Chinese restaurants have disappeared in recent years, but this place still is solid. It's close to Bridgeport Village and is usually a lot less crowded vs. Bridgeport Village itself. My parents love this restaurant so much that they go here weekly. We just ate here on Christmas Eve too. Pro tip: If you come for weekday lunch- the soup (eggdrop or sweet and sour) comes with your meal too. read more

Great Hot and Sour soup! I like the green beans with chicken. The waitress is very nice.

We were craving Chinese and our usual spot is closed on Mondays so we found this place open and decided to give it a try. The parking lot had a lot of cars but when we went inside, it seemed empty. We decided to order anyway. When you step in it feels like you are in the 1970's (in a good way). The menu has just the right amount of choices and the prices are reasonable. We ordered the Singapore Noodles and Salt and Pepper Shrimp. The dishes were delicious.!The noodles included pork, chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was not greasy and it was fresh. White rice and tea are included with the meal. Service was ok - we could have had more tea but she never checked. We also realized why the restaurant was empty the bar was full! We did not realize there was a bar- it's a bit hidden from the restaurant. This restaurant has been around for a while and is a regular spot for many. I would recommend it. read more

Royal Panda - Singapore Noodles Salt and Pepper Shrimp - Chinese Near Me - Portland, Oregon

What a pretty & oh so calm restaurant. The paino music playing softly was a hit to my husband and I. Soup came in i ordered 1/2 hot & sour &/1/2 egg flower, and hubby ordered hot & sour. The flavor beats all the Chinese restaurant we've been to for 10 years. Excellent service she was always checking on us! The food came we took a pic of our dinner. Then we dove in. Omgaud!! The Shrimp & Vegetables & White rice was the best I've ever had , chrispy veggies, perfect rice. My husband ordered the Mongolian Beef & fried rice. He was so impressed, the floor and tender beef lg. chunks. We will be back again! Signed: So sorry we haven't stoped by sooner. See you soon. I tried to post a pic and wouldn't work. read more

Service was mediocre, food was filling but not enjoyable, and the place isn't too bad. Glad I tried it but I don't think I'll be coming back

First time here and the last time I will ever go to any other Chinese restaurant. Words cannot describe the soft touch of the sweet and sour chicken touching my fried rice. Reminds me of my first kiss at summer camp where my lips touched Todd's. The tea was warm and gave me a bewitched nose wiggle. The atmosphere was as comfortable as a velvet pancake on a winter morning. The service was as if the kool aid man was going to break through the wall and say ... oh yeah! I wish I was born with three hands so I can give it a three hand thumbs up! #sweetandsourchickenlife # good eats read more

Royal Panda - a menu for lunch specials - Chinese Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Always helpful, weird but wonderful crew of people come here, same goes for the bartenders. They stop serving their full menu earlier then you would expect, I believe it's 10 on weekends and 9 on week days, but I think last call is 2 every day. Bar is a good layout; bar section as you enter, decent sized seating area to your left. And if you go straight it's video poker to your left are pool tables. Keep walking straight and there's a nice, clean smoking area. Foods good enough that you can easily eat double what you planned to lol read more

Fast and super friendly service always. Every bartender is always welcoming and providing top notch customer service. Food always comes out fresh . Jennifer always is on point. Never disappoints, very quick to acknowledge everyone. Real clean and efficient. 10/10 order the potstickers read more

Royal Panda - Do yourself a favor and order these! - Chinese Near Me - Portland, Oregon

I have been looking at the reviews of Royal Panda and I was a liitle shocked that there are a lot of bad reviews. I understand people have different views. We have been eating at Royal Panda for over 20 years. We know the owners and they have been friendly and gracious for all those years. I'm surprised I have never given a review about their food. We no longer live in the Portland area. We have not had any food from Panda since we left 6 years ago. I still have family in the area so we decided to take out. It's a little harder now with little grandkids to eat at their restaurant. I love the Chicken and Broccoli. Thinly sliced white meat chicken with of course Broccoli. The white sauce that it comes with is just fantastic. Make the dish so flavorful. The white sticky rice ties the whole dish together. My wife has Fried Bean Curd ( Tofu) with veggies. You can get it as spicy as you like. Another great dish even if it is vegetarian. We also had Chicken with String Beans. The String Beans were a little too salty. Hope to have more visits when we are back in town. read more

Best Chinese food I've ever had for the best prices I've ever seen. The workers were very kind and the inside is beautiful.

Great portions, love the food and atmosphere. The lunch special is very worth it, you get two entrees on one plate, and the fried rice with it too. read more

I seen someone with their pork fried rice, it looked so good I had to find them! Did not disappoint, I ate the whole thing and I'm small lol. Can't wait to try something else! read more

Found this place on a delivery app and was hungry for some Chinese. Very impressed though I only had soup and a couple appetizers it was enough to make me want to try more. Gotta day if the food here isn't homemade they got an amazing vendor Tonight's meal was Boiled dumplings in chili sauce(6pcs). I'm gonna go with wow. The spice / flavor of the sauce and the giant dumplings ...I couldn't get past 3 after sampling the other items lol. Crab puffs (6pcs) ...cooked perfectly and some of the best crab puffs I've had in awhile. Wor wonton soup.. ok so this didn't wow me, the flavor wasn't quite there in the broth, but it included a good variety of things worth picking out to eat. To top it off they either read requests or just as a course of business provided utensils and napkins (something I've had poor luck with recently ) Can't wait for breakfast to finish this all off!! read more

If you're looking for that old school family run Chinese food restaurant that's been around forever this is it... portions are large the quality is excellent!!! Not overly expensive is really nice for the amount of food. After going there and only ordered basically the same thing but I always asked for a couple extra things, and now they just know and say it's all ready in the bag. perfect take out it stay's eating hot for like an hour if you pick it up on time! Somewhere I had never tried before, Honestly I'm so disappointed. This is supposed to be kung pao Chicken.... It's supposed to spicy. I've never had kung pao that didn't have veggies in it. It's so bland.. it's not spicy at all and it's just chicken chunks and peanuts. The fried rice is also super bland. And has nothing in it but very few pieces of egg.... Bland rice that's been fried. 50$ for two plates was a total waste. read more

Royal Panda - Kung Pao Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Portland, Oregon

Had an order through Door Dash from the Bridgeport/Tualatin area location at 3:23 p.m. on a Monday (it was Veteran's Day). I ordered: shrimp egg foo young, egg rolls, General Tsao's chicken with fried rice on the side. The egg foo young was dense and hard and the fried rice was mushy with no taste (maybe a little soy sauce poured on top of white rice?) I tried but could not eat these so threw both out. The General Tsao's chicken had a really, really thick sauce coating the chicken. I had to scrape it off but tasted ok. The eggrolls were not good. So spent $38 and threw the egg foo young and fried rice away because the food was not good. Maybe it was just an off day for the cook. I really do not like leaving a bad review but this was really the worst Chinese food I have ever had. read more

The older lady at the restaurant is rude has no manners I rather eat at the bar and I don't even drink alcoho.

My bf and I got food delivered from here Saturday night. The food wasn't the best. We got the chicken chow mein, kung pao chicken and fried rice. The chicken chow mein was good but hardly any chicken. The kung pao was very sweet and not that delicious. The chicken tasted like frozen food from the store. The fried rice we got on the side was bland and horrible. We couldn't even eat half of the food we got. Our stomachs started to hurt and we threw out the food. read more

I have often appreciated take-out dinners from this restaurant when I stay at the nearby hotel for work. The food is always delicious, plentiful, and hot. The owners are kind and professional. It's a treat I look forward to! I enjoyed the kung pow chicken, tempura shrimp, and egg flower soup tonight. Everything was great! read more

We ordered for delivery, the greatest hits: beef with broccoli, king pao chicken, mixed vegetables. All delicious, well prepared. Good egg rolls and fried rice as well. Delivery was on time and packaged well. Kids we ordered for liked it, and that's saying something. This is a very good standard menu Chinese place. Fair prices. read more

The ambiance of the room tricked me into thinking the food would be great. Wrong! The most basic food, rice, was old tasting and bland. Fried shrimp was overly packed with flour and tasteless. The general tso chicken was terrible. Chicken was definitely old! We told the only waitress(maybe part owner?) She basically said no one else complained so too bad! And she never came back to the table & never offered to refund us for the old chicken. Terrible, old food & worse customer service! read more

I never thought really that highly of Royal Panda, but Chinese restaurant offerings in my area are very limited, so I did go there from time to time over the last 7 or 8 years. Sadly, my opinion of them has gone down and I no longer go there. I've had some bad and bizarre experiences there, including one time I phoned in an order, and when I went there, the place was open but there were no customers in the restaurant, and nobody manning the the place. There was literally nobody there! After waiting 15 or 20 min, and nobody showed up, all I could do was just leave, disappointed. Another time I did a take out, and when I got home I discovered that they messed up my order. I called them and they denied that they had made a mistake and were very mean and argumentative about it. Odd. Anyway, I don't go there anymore, and can't recommend them. read more
