    Sesame Beef

This little gem is at the Troutdale Station, on the right, I knew they would be tasty by the smell as I walked up and I was not wrong. The lady at the front was super lovely, though shy, and made sure I wanted spicy when I ordered the sesame Beef. We got our food fairly quickly, and so so much food. I am writing this a few days later and I have had three meals on the food you get. The beef was crispy, spicy, sweet, and also tender. The sauce was prevalent, and the rice was perfectly fluffy. I will definitely go back for my Chinese food needs.

Best food cart pod in Portland area. See separate review for Troutdale Station. This was one of at least 7 or 8 Asian style carts in amongst the 20 carts. Good portion size for the money, I order the beef chow fun (wide rice noodle). Flavors were on point though the beef, while plentiful, was not too tender. Well fried noodles with both green onion & bean sprouts. Not a bad choice if you hanker for Chinese food, but next time, I'll probably try the other Asian options: Korean, Thai, Indian, Japanese, etc.

We pass by these carts all the time and we stopped in finally and it is a lovely hall with tons of space and a great feel. About a dozen carts here and a few more stands inside the building. Now for this I want to let it be known that I am not a huge fan of authentic Chinese food. This is the one ethnic food that I really do like to be very Americanized with that said this place hits just right... I love white meat chicken, battered and fried, and a sauce with 102% pure sugar lol... The place hit quick, fresh, and was a decent price for these days... 12 bucks for a decent sized entree. It really is a great place to get out of the elements, and it also seems they have a decent happy hour on drafts inside!

I ordered my favorite Beef Chow Fun and was told about the new policy. If you plan on eating there, you have to eat on certain plates that are considered "dine in" and if you order to go and they "catch" you eating it there, then the food cart will be penalized. What the heck?! We can NEVER eat a full portion and 2 of us eat from different carts. To punish your carts is disgraceful! What is your goal here ? We will NOT be back, so my apologies to our favorite carts . You can look to your "landlords" to the decrease in your revenue. . Disgusted!

They had a lot of Indian chaat items but they had some bowls with butter sauce or tikka sauce and you pick your protein. Prices vary based on the protein you get. You can get channa (garbanzo beans) to chicken or lamb. The guy taking our order definitely isn't enthusiastic to be there and he does not say much, even when pickup up the order. They rounded up the price advertised by a penny. I suspect it's because the penny is no longer in circulation and it probably costs too much to reflect that on their menu board. It was only a penny so no big deal. We got the chicken tikka bowl. It came with a a piece of naan bread cut in half and that was wrapped in foil. The chicken tikka itself was a decent sized portion and came with basmati rice, but the container itself didn't contain the heat so when he handed it to me, it almost burned my fingers. I had to quickly move my fingers to the very side to avoid losing my grip on my food. I thought the food was good and had some spice to it. It was neat to see they sell mango lassi and Indian sodas like Thums Up and Limca. Enjoyed the food overall.

He wasn't friendly and really didn't even look at us. He said they were out of a couple of the items. Just seemed like he didn't want to be there or even want to bother making what my son originally wanted because maybe it was too much work. Anyway I wouldn't order from here again just for the fact that he was rude. There are so many other places to spend your money.

It's a nice open space with plenty of picnic table seating and a few chairs and a sofa on one side. The staff was friendly, and there were plenty of food and drink options. You order at the counter and get a pager that beeps when your order is ready for pickup back at the counter. I ordered their featured drink, which was an iced tiramisu latte. It was yummy, as was my ham, egg, and cheese breakfast croissant sandwich. The elevated plating for the croissant sandwich was a nice touch. Instead of blobbing mustard on the plate or offering packets, they gave my plate a pretty swoosh of mustard with a sprinkling of chopped chives. I didn't expect this, but I appreciate that they went the extra step, as we eat first with our eyes! This is definitely a great stop coming to or from The Gorge and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
