The quality of dim sum is quite good. The siu mai was tender and larger than your average piece of siu mai. The spare ribs were meaty, tender, and didn't contain too much fatty, grisly parts. The only dish that could've been better was the char siu pork, which I felt was too lean, and lacked a bit of flavor. To be honest, lean pork is actually what some folks prefer, so your milage may vary here. The dish that I enjoyed the most was the stir fried noodles with beef. The beef was incredibly tender -- likely the result of velveting with cornstarch, the noodles were well-seasoned, and garnish of raw bean sprouts provided a nice crunchy texture to the dish. This dish was so large, there was enough for everyone to go back for seconds. If you're looking for a Chinese spot that serves tasty food without breaking the bank, H K Cafe is a wonderful option.
