I keep returning to Suphatra Thai for their excellent tofu Pad Thai. It's a generous dish that easily provide two solid servings and really delivers when I'm craving Thai food. The texture is great - the noodles are tender, and the best part is the ideal balance of egg and tofu. I like that they don't use excessive amounts of bean sprouts or onions to bulk it up. Surprisingly good Thai food available from a food cart in the Barley Pod Food Court and Beer Garden on NE Halsey. One stand-out menu item is the delicious pad woon sen -- chewy glass noodles fried in a savory sauce along with a variety of vegetables including onions, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, bell peppers, and chicken (the protein of our choice). Solid and satisfying and carefully prepared. We are also fond of Suphatra Thai's curries, which are made with just the right level of spice. The yellow curry is our favorite. Excellent service. Been here one time before about a yr ago; and had been wanting to come back for a while. Finally decided since I was in this neck of the woods , after a quick trip to Costco....I'd go..I'm so pleased I did. They were out of fresh salad rolls..... So for my main dish I got pumpkin curry with veggies thai hot. It was great. Lots of fresh vegetables that were fresh and crisp. (Not over cooked) They spiced the curry close to perfect And it comes with a side of rice. Price $14. Portion spot on. I made it a point to stop by the window as I was leaving to thank the cook for such delicious food. She smiled and in a friendly manner said I was welcome that she is happy to do it. It says they are temporarily closed. I hope the temporary part is true cause I'm sure looking forward to going here again. Service was excellent. Ambiance it's a Food Kart Pod rather small with some covered seating and outside seating on picnic tables. This place is very clean and well maintained. The only headache is parking it's street parking only; so you may need to drive around a bit to find a spot and then walk. Definitely will make this a place to return too. read more

OH MY GOODNESS! Got the roasted duck curry and it was the absolute best Thai food I've ever had. The richness and complexity of the flavors-just next level to anything I've ever tasted. Please keep this amazing family in business!! I guess my only suggestion would be to spread the goodness around the dish more evenly...that is... cut the grape tomatoes, the pineapple chunks, the potato chunks, and the giant green grapes all in half, because they were delicious but huge and you should def aim to have each bite contain all of those gems that compliment the dish so well. I wish I had gotten 5 orders so will be heading back across the River for this SOON! Oh and this pod is really nice with a tidy and cozy indoor beer/cider area with a restroom. My pad Thai chicken was absolutely terrible and didn't taste right whatsoever, tasty like bland dirty fish sauce pan. I have never had any pad Thai even close to this bad, if I hadn't been all the way home I would of brought it back. I had two bites and couldn't eat anymore of it. Wow. What flavor! I ordered the Thai fried rice with chicken for dinner and was so pleasantly surprised! I especially loved that it was a nice balance of chicken and vegetables and rice (with some fresh vegetables added as well) - with other places, it seems you get a box of rice or noodles and a few other ingredients. The salad roll was the only good thing. It was delicious. The curry was a thicker curry than most. But it tasted like it was thickened with potatoes. No good curry flavor. Worst curry we've ever had. Incredibly sweet lady working but the pot stickers were AWFUL fried, so hard, no flavor and little Inside them.
