Choli Puri
Matthew B.

First time ordering from the Momo House. We ordered pickup online which was easy to navigate. The food was ready on time and we headed home. We ordered the Choli Puri, Chow mein with chicken and Hand Made Momo with pork. The choli puri was soft and chewy. Great for picking up other food. The chow mein with chicken was pretty good but on the greasy side. The monos were great and the highlight of the meal. The sauces that came with the meal were a wonderful addition and complimented the meal.

I always love Momo House! The veggie momos are just little nuggets of comfort food. The beef momos are juicy and delicious. Plus, the service is always friendly!

Vegan momo

Best momo I have ever had! Vegan options were numerous and delicious. These are not your typical dumplings from the frozen isle -- theses are clearly hand made and have fresh, delicious veggies inside. I can see why they have been in business for over 10 years :-) Don't forget to grab a green sauce (cilantro?) too! The non-vegans who were with me also loved their meat and cheese options!

A bit of a delayed review (just haven't had time to post this) but Momo House was at the Jade District Night Market. I ordered their Choli Curry Plate which was a chickpea curry with two vegetarian momo's. It also came with a sauce not pictured. I also got a mango lassi also not pictured. Food came out quickly and staff were very nice. The chickpea curry was delicious but there was a lot of rice. I wish there was more curry to mix it with the rice. The momo's were okay, it wasn't too flavorful or special.

Pan Fried Momo, Hand Made Momo, Chow Mein, Fried Rice

The food was excellent. We got pan fried chicken dumplings and steamed beef ones. The beef ones are tastier and more unique but both are great! Also the fried rice and chow mein were good. Service was good, and the area is fantastic. I love areas with options and outdoor seating!

The food was so good and the person running the food card was so kind and sweet not just to me but the person in front of me too. Things like that make you want to come again and support them it's in a food cart pod so you can just hang out and relax while eating your food :)!!!

Choli Puri and Choli Samosa

It was our first time trying Tibetan / Nepalese cuisine, so we were super excited. However, both the dishes that we ordered, Choli Puri and Choli Somosa, were underwhelming. Choli Puri: The bread had good texture - fried on the outside and chewy on the inside. It reminded us of a fluffy, fried tortilla. Choli Somosa: The somosas were bland and forgettable. Both dishes came with beans, yogurt sauce, and green sauce. The beans were bland, which was really disappointing because they looked delicious. The yogurt sauce was a little more bitter and less viscous than Greek yogurt. The green sauce was really good - it was herbaceous and had a little kick.

Chicken Momo

Food was pretty average for me, maybe it's the delivery rather than dining in experience. The Chicken Momos were plump full of chicken filling but they were rather dried and too meaty. The dough was also thick and hard; just not the best I've had. I did enjoy the creamy and spicy sauces, very unique. The Chicken Briyani had nice flavors. Drumsticks were super tender and well-cooked too. Very generous portion. Also, super kind people. Called them to check on my online order and they're very helpful.

Veggie momos

The momos and thukpa were simply delicious! Very comforting specially for a cold, gloomy day. The person who took our order, was really sweet. Also, there were more momos than seen here in the plate, I got excited as soon as got it and forgot to take a pic :) I know I've to go back to try couple of other things I noticed on the menu!

Loved this place so much! I came down from Seattle because I was missing Tibetan food. The owners are very kind and everything is made so well. We ordered the Beef moms (steamed and pan fried), pork chow mein, chole puri, and mango lassi's. Everything came out so hot and fresh, the momos were bursting with juice and the hot sauce was the perfect level of flavor and spice to pair with the momos. Chowmein was delicious, I love how clean it tastes the pork and veggies really pop and its very flavorful. I also enjoyed the puri, it was huge! This is definitely a gem food truck at the rose city park!

Been craving old fashioned old world Tibetan Momos!! Thought I will drive out here to try out this place. The lady who took my order was very friendly and helpful! Got a full plate of pan-fried Momos for $9 including tax(guess) The food took a little bit longer around 15 mins to be prepared, maybe they were not expecting anybody to show up around 2 pm for lunch The food is very simple as food truck food is meant to be! Received 8 steaming hot momos!!! Delicious!! Hope to be back again someday soon!!

I loved the Rose City Food Park food truck experience. Momo House is a stationary foodtruck with lots of clean comfortable outdoor picnic table seating. A new friend (and his dog) had the chicken chili and was super happy with the taste and portion size. I got bold and had the Momo soup. Think Chinese dumpling soup, but better. Authentic tibetan flavors in a clear broth with veggies on top. Add the hot sauce for extra flavor. The dumplings are a little doughy but that's the style. The friendly and efficient proprietress suggested I try one of every kind: pork, beef, chicken, cheese and veggie. Great option. At $12, it came in a microwave safe container with enough for breakfast in the morning. Took a few minutes to be prepared fresh, but you can get a beer 4 trucks away. Highly recommended.

Chicken Briyani
Cathy Z.

Their momos (especially pork momos) are delicious. The chicken biryani was also amazing - the rice is so flavorful and the chicken is super tender. The wait can be a bit long (~20 mins) but the food is totally worth it! There is plenty of outdoor seating available in the food cart pod.

One of the best food carts in Portland. Their Chili Chicken plate is straight up my favorite thing to order in the entire city.

Ask the Community - Momo House

Do they deliver?

I don't think so BUT the most reliable way is to call them! Since they are a small stationary food truck operation I doubt they have the staff to deliver too far! But I would call!

I don't know if it's they type of potato but the skin was really off putting. But solid toothsome chips that a splash of vinegar helps a lot. I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!

The staff is always friendly, the service is prompt, and orders come out quickly and are plated so beautifully they *must* be photographed every time. I'm a creature of habit so I could order flautas here forever, but I promised myself I would try the chile relleno next time we go. Wish me luck! We love the casual vibe. It's comfy, there's usually a place to sit, but it can get packed when the weather is good. The space is welcoming and offers opportunities to chat with others if you want. It was payday, my Friday, and my plans to make spaghetti carbonara were foiled by frozen bacon (…read moreoops) and a mountain of dirty dishes ( not. my. job.) and my freakin' exhaustion. Teen wanted boba, and we decided to order Mediterranean from this place which also strangely sells boba. Yes, I rewarded the chore avoidance. Sue me. I worked four tens, all week my mental health clients were stressed and distressed, and I was honestly a lump. We both ordered a Moroccan stewed chicken that comes with saffron rice, salad, and three spicy sauces - one yogurt and maybe sumac? , one sriracha, and one yogurt mixed with sriracha maybe? We liked the rice, chicken, salad, and the yogurt sauce. Just ok though. Not omg good. I wish the two other sauces had been in separate containers and not on the rice. My mint and honey tea was fine. Kid's boba was not full. Not because it spilled either, because it was sealed with the boba seal lid thingy. For $6 that was disappointing. The hummus and dolmades plate came with one sad not good pita, ONE, and I think our Uber eats driver flung it out the window like kids used to deliver newspapers from their bikes because yogurt sauce was freaking everywhere. The hummus was not great. Teen ( the dolmades fan) said the grape leaves were good. Probably not a repeat in store. One and done.

Ok. Ordered a chicken gyro for $14 then he charged me $15.40. When I asked what the extra $1.40…read more was for he said it was a fee for using my card. The gyro was 2 out 5. Very dishonest food cart.
