I love the chicken taco plate so much that I haven't been able to try anything else! (Yet)

I drove 2 hours round trip from Salem just to try this place out, and it was worth it! It's my last weekend here, so I'm going again! The BBQ Chicken Tikka Rice Plate had a lot of food for the price (2 x chicken leg quarters). The food is not spicy, but they have several flavors of Tabasco available if you do like spicy. Upgrading the tacos to the naan bread is worth it! I haven't come across anything like this in California, so I'll miss it! read more

my experience here was disappointing the person before me ordered 4 dishes and i was not warned beforehand so i had to wait super long for my dish since there was only 1 person working. i wish the worker had told me before because i would've just gotten food from somewhere else and saved that time. when i opened my box, i was disappointed to see 3 small tacos. there was not a lot of filling so it was not a very satisfying meal. i also thought the consume lacked flavor. it sucks because i was super excited to try this place. they have really interesting dishes, but the photos made it look better than it is. read more

I thought I would try this place out as I was curious about the fusion and using a naan bread as the shell for the burrito. This is probably my new favorite food cart in Portland. I never would have put these two cuisines together in my head, but it is such a standout. I have tried the protein rice bowl with chicken karahi, and also the beef nirahi naan burrito. The rice bowls are so delicious, but the burrito was really the winner for me. I was really pulling for this place to be good but it just didn't hit. Chicken tacos were kind of one note and I tasted the tortilla more than the chicken. The curry was a good side sauce but since the white rice is just white rice, I pretty much just used that to cover it instead of dipping the tacos. I got the chicken burrito wrapped in Nan bread, it was delicious. Love the fusion taste, highly recommend it. Will order again. Watch out for the lemonade ask for the black salt in the side. I was unaware that black salt was a thing. I was surprised when I tasted it it was as if someone had farted in my lemonade. Not pleasant at all. Delish! My first experience with Pakistani food of any sort, and this was definitely a nice & easy welcome to the cuisine. Good food and unique. I like trying new foods. I got a beef burrito and it was really good. I can't eat dairy, so we swapped the yogurt sauce for daal at their suggestion. (Lentil). The naan wrap was tasty, and the veggies seemed fresh. (I didn't ask if there was a tiny bit of milk in the naan, you could ask if you are super sensitive.) When this place first opened, I would have given it 5++ stars. We have gone back over ten times now. Unfortunately the portions have shrunk, the taste has slightly slipped, and the prices have gone up. They also started putting sauce cups in the food box itself, which I don't like. The first few times I went, they were just in the bag. I am all for people paying their bills but at this point it's about to cross over into almost not worth it. The last time we went, my chicken Karahi bowl box was less than 50% full. I'm hoping this was a fluke, but I'm not betting on it considering the overall trend. The time before, I hardly had any chicken. Another thing they changed was the tacos. When they first opened, they were made with their very delicious naan. Now they serve them with a more generic tortilla. What was unique and delicious became kinda whatever. Bring back the naan! I hope that given the 3 dollar price increase on the bowl, they increase the portion of the rice bowls back to normal adult portions. Oh and let me clarify, I am talking about prices on DoorDash.
