my experience here was disappointing the person before me ordered 4 dishes and i was not warned beforehand so i had to wait super long for my dish since there was only 1 person working. i wish the worker had told me before because i would've just gotten food from somewhere else and saved that time. when i opened my box, i was disappointed to see 3 small tacos. there was not a lot of filling so it was not a very satisfying meal. i also thought the consume lacked flavor. it sucks because i was super excited to try this place. they have really interesting dishes, but the photos made it look better than it is. read more

I drove 2 hours round trip from Salem just to try this place out, and it was worth it! It's my last weekend here, so I'm going again! The BBQ Chicken Tikka Rice Plate had a lot of food for the price (2 x chicken leg quarters). The food is not spicy, but they have several flavors of Tabasco available if you do like spicy. So even before getting food in my hands, I had some bad vibes about the cart. I wanted to try it one day and they had " back in 15 minutes" sign up, so I waited. I think I waited 30 minutes and nobody came back so I gave up at that point and got something else. So today I went back and they were there and so I was going to get the naan burrito. It says it's $16 on the menu. It says you have four different choices of what it's filled with being chicken, beef, some veggie patty I think and Aloo. I chose beef but yet when I placed my order, it came to $18 and I asked why and he said beef is $18. So the menu does not specify the fact that beef costs more, which I am low income and going out for food is a luxury for me, so it would be nice to know how much something actually costs while you're contemplating what to get because had I known I probably would've just gone to Rollin Fresh had I known. I asked him what was on the burrito besides the beef. I was told rice, tomato, onion, jalapeño. I asked well is there a sauce on it and he said there was a yogurt sauce. So I was assuming that maybe it was something like a tzatziki or a yogurt sauce with some herbs in it. So I got home and just peeled back the top of the foil to start eating it that way because I figured it could possibly get a little messy and the first several bites I thought it was ok. I thought there was too much rice and the only thing I was tasting as far as the veggies was onion and jalapeño. The top of my burrito or the end I chose as the top had a lot of meat which was nice. I never tasted any tomato the entire time I ate this. I also did not see or taste any yogurt sauce. I don't know if they just put a small amount on and it was absorbed by the rice, but I really was hoping there would be sauce I could tell was there and that didn't happen ever. The bottom of the burrito completely fell apart and did not have as much meat as the top and really I think I saw just the tiniest little piece of tomato a couple times, never ever tasted it. I don't think I've ever in my life seemed tomato cut so tiny. I guess I was hoping this might be a spin on a gyro but this definitely does not live up to a great gyro in my book. Seems like they fill it with the cheap ingredients like the rice and onions. The meat was ok. Not as flavorful as I had hoped for. I had hoped for more freshness with the tomatoes. And would've loved a sauce to dip it in even though it would've been impossible to dip without having it fall apart or just enough sauce on the burrito itself so you could tell there was a sauce. it's a big burrito so I ate part of it for lunch and then kind of grazed on it a couple times and then finished it off in the evening. It's just OK, not worth $18 in my book. In hindsight, I am happy that when I went to pay with a card, there was no tip option. I was already a little irritated with the fact that the menu didn't let me know. It was going to be $18 instead of $16. And then after going home and eating it I'm happy,I guess, that I didn't tip, not that I chose to not tip. It just wasn't possible, I had no cash on me and that was the only way to tip. I was really pulling for this place to be good but it just didn't hit. Chicken tacos were kind of one note and I tasted the tortilla more than the chicken. The curry was a good side sauce but since the white rice is just white rice, I pretty much just used that to cover it instead of dipping the tacos. I was really hoping for some spice too, but it was never there. Side salad was good but it's really hard to mess that up. Good food and unique. I like trying new foods. I got a beef burrito and it was really good. I can't eat dairy, so we swapped the yogurt sauce for daal at their suggestion. (Lentil). The naan wrap was tasty, and the veggies seemed fresh. (I didn't ask if there was a tiny bit of milk in the naan, you could ask if you are super sensitive.) When this place first opened, I would have given it 5++ stars. We have gone back over ten times now. Unfortunately the portions have shrunk, the taste has slightly slipped, and the prices have gone up. They also started putting sauce cups in the food box itself, which I don't like. The first few times I went, they were just in the bag. I am all for people paying their bills but at this point it's about to cross over into almost not worth it. The last time we went, my chicken Karahi bowl box was less than 50% full. I'm hoping this was a fluke, but I'm not betting on it considering the overall trend. The time before, I hardly had any chicken. Another thing they changed was the tacos. When they first opened, they were made with their very delicious naan. Now they serve them with a more generic tortilla. What was unique and delicious became kinda whatever. Bring back the naan! I hope that given the 3 dollar price increase on the bowl, they increase the portion of the rice bowls back to normal adult portions. Oh and let me clarify, I am talking about prices on DoorDash. Holy cow! This place is the bomb! A fusion of Mexican and Pakistani food? Who knew??? The combination is so, so good. I had the chicken karahi tacos. It comes with rice, a refreshing cucumber tomato salad, and daal to dip your tacos in, like consommé for birria tacos... but Pakistani. So good! I've now become somewhat of a regular here, the Beef Nihari bowl is delicious, their burrito wraps have a lovely bread and the photos don't do justice. The staff is very friendly, and service is always quick at this location.
