After some mold remediation was done, we were left with part of our wall missing drywall and insulation around a window. We were on a very tight timeline, and Paul was able to accommodate us, even when we had to reschedule to wait for a mold clearance test! He knew we had to get it done quickly and prioritized us, coming out early in the morning as soon as we had our clearance results. He helped make sure everything was ready to go and all materials were there, and left it to Nick who did the repair. Paul was the perfect contractor for us. We were needing some renovation on a newly purchased 2nd home in San Diego. We received quotes from 3 different contractors. One came considerably higher than Paul and one was slightly lower. We chose Paul because we liked him personally and his confidence in our project. PAUL AND ELEMENT CONSTRUCTION ARE AMAZING! We unfortunately experienced a pretty major pipe leak not even 2 months after moving into our first home and we wound up having to tear out our entire kitchen. Floors, dry wall, cabinets, appliances, all of it. After the initial phase of panic and confusion, we started looking for contractors to help us get everything put back together. I found Element Construction and reached out and the owner Paul got back to me super quick and said he could meet me at my home the very next day to take a look. He was very knowledgeable and even explained the insurance side of things, which is always the most confusing and difficult to deal with. He took some photos the same day and sent over an estimate within 24 hours. He said he could get us on his work schedule the very next week which was great considering the only other contractor I heard back from couldn't schedule us for at least 2 months. From day 1 of beginning work he kept us informed of the rebuild process and worked with the insurance company on our behalf. Even when insurance came back with a super low amount for what they would cover (which would have left us in a very tough spot financially) he reassured us and went back to our insurance to let them know that their payment was insufficient and they had left a lot of items off of their list. His whole team was great and treated both my wife and I very well and answered any and all questions we had. Considering how crappy the overall situation was, there really is not a better contractor we could have gone with to help turn our construction zone back into our home. read more

I can't recommend Element Construction & Restoration high enough! I contacted Paul (the owner) to get a quote to replace the floor and all surrounding fixtures in my bathroom based on a recommendation from my realtor. He responded immediately with a quote which included a very detailed breakdown of the scope of work as well as some additional questions to ensure everything was addressed. The quote I received was extremely reasonable and he stayed on budget throughout the entire project. Paul came out to personally inspect the bathroom and help me create a plan for the remodel--he was very helpful and responsive and was able to guide me through the correct flooring and other materials to select for the job. Oscar and Carlos performed a majority of the work and both were punctual and professional the entire time. We hit a snag which required a plumber be sent out, but thankfully Paul coordinated with Rome to come out and replace the flange for my toilet that same day at a very reasonable price (well below what I would have paid if I had to coordinate the plumber myself) so the project was able to be completed on schedule. At the end of the day, the work that they did was excellent and I am in love with my now-completed bathroom. I highly recommend Paul and his team at Element for whatever your construction/restoration needs may be! I was very lucky to have met Paul under an unfortunate event. Due to the mold issue caused by water damage from my upper unit neighbor, I was in need of a bathroom and walk-in closet remodel. The insurance company completed the estimate quickly and provided me a claim payout then I moved on to meeting different contractors for quotes. After meeting with six to seven contractors with quotes ranging from $11,000 to $22,000, I quickly realized that the insurance payout is 50% less than the mid-range quote. Even though this is my very first remodel I know that the insurance payout is not going to able to pay for my bathroom remodel back to a comparable setup. I did not know what to do. After listening to my situation on insurance payout one of the contractors suggested me to talk to Paul. The contractor knows that Paul is very knowledgeable and very good with the Xactimate software. On top of that Paul is a contractor himself so whatever the insurance adjuster miss on the estimate Paul will definitely be included in his estimate. He told me the Xactimate software is widely used among insurance adjusters and contractors so it will be an easy comparison between the insurance estimate and the actual project cost. This would help me greatly to get a fair payout from the insurance I decided to acquire Paul's services and Paul called me on Monday morning after receiving my contact info the previous Saturday afternoon. We set up an appointment for Tuesday morning for him to access needed repair. My first impress of Paul was that he is very professional and very efficient. He is also very detail oriented, friendly and patience. He told me that understands how difficult it to be out of your own home, which is why he wants to help and have me back to my home as soon as possible. He emailed me a 37 pages Repair Estimate the very next day and had already emailed it to my insurance adjuster. removal). Our kitchen had a leak that caused a lot of damage. We decided to upgrade our kitchen since we had to have a portion of it gutted anyway and had been meaning to revamp it at some point. Paul was easy to communicate with. We tried to go through insurance, but they refused to pay because it was a slow leak (apparently slow leaks are not often covered by insurance companies because they are probably common). The insurance agent informed me that they had worked with Paul before and that he is good. So, we opted to work with him. Every step he let us know what was going to be done. His workers wore masks during the entire time and kept things as tidy as possible. The painter Paul uses is an artist and he is passionate about making it look good. All of the work was completed in the promised time frame. His price was pretty spot on according to what the agent predicted as well. He took the time to explain the scope of work to me during the inspection and he throughly answers any question or concerns I had about the process. He also mentioned that they were able to work with my home insurance company and provide any documentation or info they would would need for any insurance claims. After receiving this quote, and comparing with others, I felt his estimate was fair so we hired him. His team were able to start work on my home the same week (Friday) it took them 3 business days to complete the job. My home looks as good as it originally did. His staff was also professional, they covered up when they came to my home and they didn't leave any mess behind when they left. Paul completed our project on time and on budget which was a challenge. He was the only person that I contacted willing to contractually obligate himself to the timeline we had to work with.
