    Living Room - BEFORE
    Martin B.

I hired Command Construction to handle repairs after water damage in my home caused by a wax ring failure, and I'm so glad I did. In the bathroom, they replaced the drywall, painted the walls, and removed the old vanity, countertop, and travertine tile floor. They then installed a new travertine floor, a beautiful vanity, a marble countertop, and a new vessel sink (while reusing my existing faucet). The result is a clean, updated space that feels both functional and elegant. In the rest of the first floor, they removed the old travertine tile and replaced it with engineered hardwood flooring in a warmer tone--both in appearance and in how it feels underfoot. The transition between the bathroom tile and the hardwood is smooth and well done. Command Construction went above and beyond throughout the process. They hired a moving company to carefully move my furniture out before construction and back in afterward, which made things much easier for me. They also brought in a cleaner at the end of the project, who did a great job making the space feel move-in ready. Everything turned out beautifully. Cameron, Tom, and Jose were a pleasure to work with--professional, communicative, and reliable. They walked me through the entire process, handled communication with my home insurance, and were always responsive to questions or concerns. I highly recommend Command Construction for residential flooring and remodeling projects. If I have any future renovation needs, they'll be the first ones I call.

We had a leak in our home and I reached out to Command restoration. They were quick and responsive. They we're at my house within the hour. They quickly mapped out the damages and began the drying process Cameron and Alex helped me file a claim and walked me through the insurance process. if I could give them more than five stars, I would I highly recommend this company. They are truly top-notch. The technicians that came out truly knew what they were doing. They put up plastic to protect all of my belongings and keep the air quality clean. The technicians were very professional, polite, and punctual. Thanks again Command restoration.

I had an unfortunate experience with a flood last June. Long story short- as soon as I got referred to Alex and Cameron they definitely came to the rescue. Cameron was great dealing with the insurance end and Alex with the repairs and reconstruction. I couldn't be happier with the end result! Going through this nightmare I realized the value of having this great team who made all the difference! Also, very important their timetable was right on the mark.

I do'nt have final photos yet but here was after the demo company pulled out the cabinets and before Command started the work.

!!!!!!!!!HIGHLY recommended!!!! Cameron was super helpful with our kitchen flood. We had some pretty bad damages, the insurance company wasn't playing ball and he was able to help us out. They were super communicative and the work was flawless, literally EVERYTHING you want in a contractor. I can't recommend them enough! well I guess I have recommended them to all my neighbors.!

Great advocate for me to the insurance company when my water main busted and jacked up the ceiling and floor. Cameron knew the ins-outs to word our claim to maximize the return so we could get the best job done! Carlos worked well and was very accomodating to rough availabilities and requested adjustments to the floor post-installation. They communicated well, in a timely fashion, and were a pleasure to work with. The job essentially became an unplanned rennovation! Tyty again Command Crew.

I had a leak in my kitchen faucet that led to flooding in my cabinets. Cameron assisted me throughout the insurance claim process and fought to get me a new kitchen as the water damage was unrepairable. Carlos and his crew gave me a beautiful new kitchen in a timely manner, to include waterproof vinyl flooring, backsplash, counters, cabinets and a new pantry I never had before. They did an exceptional job listening to my concerns and answering my questions. They also did great tolerating my nosy Boxer who supervised while I was at work. I would 100% recommend Command Construction!

Cameron and his team were great. We had damage from a leaky pipe and they worked with us and the insurance company to get it done quickly. They were flexible with our schedule too. We used it as an opportunity to upgrade our bathroom and downstairs bedroom and are very happy.

When our dishwasher flooded our kitchen in the spring, we were referred to Command Construction for a repair estimate, and they started working with us right away. They helped us navigate the difficult communications with our homeowners insurance, and quickly provided a very detailed estimate of the repair and rebuild to our kitchen cabinets and flooring that were ruined with water damage. Cameron and team even handled some of the negotiations with our very unhelpful claims adjuster (would NOT recommend Mercury Insurance to anyone), and they fought to make sure we would be reimbursed fairly for the damages to our home. Once we decided to contract with Command for the rebuild they moved very fast - fitting our entire kitchen rebuild and 1400 sq ft flooring replacement into just 5 weeks! Because of how quickly they moved we were able to be back in our home for the birth our 3rd child. We are very happy with the quality of work performed, and with the overall communication from our project manager (Alex) who kept us in the loop throughout the entire process, and made sure we were happy with the results. We highly recommend them to anyone!

I recently completed a major renovation of my kitchen, master bathroom, and powder room following a…read morewater damage claim, and I couldn't be happier that I chose Coast to Coast. I'm the type of person who is very specific about what I want and I did my homework. I got four different bids for this project, and C2C was the clear winner. Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. The house looks amazing (see the photos of the Blue Thunder Quartzite and the Jade tile!). They were fair, they were fast, and most importantly, they were responsive. Highly recommend if you want high-end results without the "luxury markup" of other firms.

This is the second water leak mitigation & restoration we've done with C2C and while the PM on the…read morerestoration portion was outstanding this time, overall, there were more issues with the mitigation than last. Specifically, they subbed out the demo portion to another company which incurred more costs and thus lead to rejection of payment by insurance company. Or rather, it was ruled as costs extending beyond ordinary expenses. Had it been included with the mitigation equipment, the insurance would've likely accepted it, as it did last time. The actual work performed by everyone was great in the end, just as it had been last time. Everything was remediated properly and more importantly, timely. Brandon the PM on mitigation along with David the PM on the restoration side were great, with David being the most responsive and communicative PM I've ever worked with. Meaning, updates everyday, as promised. That was the best part of the whole project for me as an anxious homeowner. I will say that my own insurance agent didn't help matters either in this case. He was super hard to work with and eventually C2C had trouble reaching him. This also soured the whole experience as everyone worked to track him down by phone and to prove that all expenses were legitimate. I'm on the fence as to whether to use C2C again for mitigation. Would not hesitate to use them for restoration though.

Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. There's a reason they have dozens and dozens of 5 star reviews here. Highly recommended.

Two were forgettable. Express Dry was not. Let's start with the basics: they showed up 15 minutes EARLY. I didn't know that was still a thing. From the first call to the final walkthrough, communication was consistent and clear, no chasing anyone down, no vague timelines, no "someone will be there between 8am and never." Before anything else, their first responder, Christian, did a quick health survey -- asthma, allergies, immune compromised household members? They came prepared. That meant a lot to our family and honestly set the tone for everything that followed. The crew arrived that afternoon, introduced themselves, walked through their scope for the day, and then proceeded to professionally protect every floor, wall, and personal item in sight before getting to work. They worked in 100-degree heat, in a garage tent with industrial drying fans blasting, and stayed until 7pm on a Friday night. On a FRIDAY. These people have my respect forever. The only reason I even went with them was because of the impressive plumber I met with that recommended them. They came that night and helped initiate the process of drying the next day. Noah Lopez was the rep and was my contact initially. I saw 3 restoration companies that day and 3 plumbers so I had a decent idea how of much water damage, estimated time of deconstruction and reconstruction. A lot of companies get a bad reputation because they try and tear up as much as possible and I thought Express Dry was different but I was proven wrong. After a few days of drying, they all of a sudden discovered that my tiles were 30-99% saturated and they had to rip them up which would add another 2 weeks of work. I was confused on how this was NOT spotted initially by them or any other company I saw that initial day of interviewing. Everyone commented on how I should be lucky that the tiles didn't get wet. So obviously I called BS on them. They tried several scare tactics by having me sign some hand written statement that I would be liable and having multiple try and convince me to remove the tiles. Thank God I got a second opinion and had an outside company return to check for water damage and they too once again confirmed that tiles weren't wet and even if they were, there are other options that don't involve tearing up the tile. I thought I was getting a company that looked out for me but they were obviously looking to rip off the insurance company and make money for them. Noah tried to convince me not to contact my insurance company myself and he would do it all for me but I'll glad I called my insurance while he was present. I think that made him upset because after that, he went from being pleasant to being irritated, especially after the process began and I attempted to contact him. There were other things they did that also rubbed me the wrong way but I don't want to get anyone fired. Just another example of how can't even trust people to have some decency, even in 2026

Unfortunately, our experience with the restoration phase was much more challenging. From an administrative standpoint, we received a final restoration invoice that did not properly reflect payments we had already made and included materials we had purchased ourselves. We notified SunCoast of these issues immediately, provided receipts and documentation the same day, and were told the invoice would be revised. Despite multiple follow-ups, we did not receive a corrected invoice or meaningful communication for nearly two months. Instead, a mechanic's lien was filed against our home based on the uncorrected invoice. After filing a complaint with the BBB and notifying SunCoast that we intended to pursue the issue further if it remained in place, we finally received a corrected invoice. We promptly mailed payment, and the lien was subsequently released. We also experienced workmanship concerns during the restoration process, including loose fixtures, electric work and finish details that required additional attention after project completion. By the end of the project, we were exhausted by the ongoing billing and communication issues and chose to address some remaining items through another contractor rather than continue working through SunCoast. In addition, we experienced a gas leak after returning home. The workers had moved our gas dryer and did not properly secure the gas line but put the dryer back in its place. We had not been informed of any concerns regarding the gas connection or that there were precautions we should take before turning the gas back on. We ran laundry overnight and woke up to the smell of gas. We notified them and they took full responsibility. Fortunately, no one was injured. While some aspects of the final restoration turned out well, the combination of billing errors, prolonged communication gaps, the filing of a lien during an unresolved billing dispute, workmanship concerns, and the gas safety issue made this an unnecessarily stressful experience. My advice to anyone considering this company would be to carefully review all invoices, maintain thorough records of payments and communications, and inspect completed work closely before making final payment.

I wouldn't characterize the sudden burst of water that flowed from our kids' toilet as a storm, but it was an unexpected happenstance that upended our lives for almost three months. Ironically, my wife and I had been contemplating restoring our outdated bathrooms, but I had explained to my wife that we needed to wait until the home interest rates plummeted, so that we could refinance our home in order to remodel our bathrooms. God Is Good All The Time and we know He heard us, but I wouldn't have fathomed that us getting new bathrooms would have occurred this way. We are so thankful to God that He allowed Aaron McFadden, Freddy and his team, and Element Construction and Restoration to be the main contractor that were responsible for the beautiful bathrooms, new flooring, and restoration of the damage that occurred from the water damage. Our home was built in the 1970s, so it's antiquated and prone to have issues such as water leaks and other problems associated with owning an older room. Unfortunately, this is our third time having some type of water issue. We've had a slab leak, a leak from our water heater, and this most recent iteration, a sudden burst of water from our kids' toilet. When this most recent episode transpired, I was a veteran of handling the basics of having to deal with a water leak such as reaching out to my insurance, contacting a plumber, and ensuring mitigation assisted with our situation. What I wasn't experienced about was construction and restoration of three bathrooms, part of our downstairs ceiling, affected walls, and our downstairs flooring. Praise God our go to plumbing company, All American Plumbing, recommended a small business and North County construction contractor named Element Construction and Restoration. The owner of the company and Aaron are family, so it's a family-run business based out of Oceanside. They have work all over San Diego, so they provide service around San Diego County. Full disclosure, I'd rate Element Construction and Restoration 4.5 stars because we did have some delays as a result of wrong materials ordered, but I would give Aaron, Freddy (one of the subcontractors Aaron uses), and Freddy's team 5 stars based on the impressive workmanship, diligence, and how everything that was restored turned out. Writing about their work doesn't do it justice, so please look at the pictures of the project. It truly was a blessing to work with Aaron. He's a friendly dude, has a positive disposition, was overly communicative in a good way, and he was completely transparent about everything including being apologetic for some issues that came up during the project. From the start of the work where Aaron came out to measure things to our final inspection where he scrutinized the work that was done, he was professional and knowledgeable about what we were going to embark on. What I also appreciated about Aaron was keeping my adjuster in the loop and updated about anything that came up from our project. One of the things I want to upgrade in our home is our kitchen, but I'm not looking for God to put us through another storm. If you're in the market for construction, restoration, or renovation of your home, I highly recommend Aaron and Element Construction and Restoration.
