My family faced this situation and I contacted Quick Water Heater for help via Yelp. Within seconds (yes, seconds) Camille reached out to me (on a Sunday) and heard my dilemma. She walked me through their (very intuitive) website and explained the process for me. After agreeing to have a technician visit my home to assess the situation and provide a more accurate estimate, I waited for the next day. My appt was set for 1400 hrs but Erick contacted me asking if I could accommodate his visit earlier, which I welcomed with gusto. By 10AM he was taking a look at my dead appliance. Erick took a look and the mystery of the broken 1-yr-old water heater was resolved. My pressure modulator was dead, so the 150PSI streaming through my house killed the water heater. Erick replaced my water heater, the water pressure modulator and also replaced my main line shut-off valve, which was done as well. Through the process, Erick patiently explained not only WHAT he was doing, but WHY he was doing it. His technical knowledge was impressive and it was only matched by his affable demeanor. I viewed the unit when it was occupied by the previous tenants - understandably, it was a mess because they were packing, so I figured (as one would) that after they moved out and it was properly cleaned, it would be move-in ready by my move date. That assumption was my mistake. When I got the keys, I was shocked at the condition. It was not professionally cleaned (despite claims otherwise - it was insufficient), overall not move-in ready, and a dump (not maintained). There was mold and mushrooms growing and the smell was strong. I was so upset I wanted to cancel the lease. [**Note to renters: do not sign the lease until after you've seen the unit EMPTY. It's a red flag when landlord (1) does not show you the empty unit move-in ready and (2) wants you to move in immediately after someone moves out - it's insufficient time for maintenance and cleaning & you don't get to see the true condition**] Alex was quick to schedule the assessment and start the remediation process. He was thorough and top-notch in communicating with the landlord to resolve the issue. I'm very thankful for his detailed work because he discovered the source of the problem and tracked the mold down in every nook and cranny. It turned out the source was from the unit above and the mold was not only where I could see it but inside the wall and on the opposite side of the wall into the hallway. Multiple sections of different walls had to be cut. I'm grateful for this amount of investigative and meticulous work. I realized the importance of quality workmanship because (1) water damage is not just where you can see the damage and (2) it doesn't end with repair itself because you must find the source and fix it so it does not happen again. The result of his work instilled my confidence back in this condo. Due to this condo being in such poor condition, I later found more mold in a new area. Thankfully, it was not water damage but surface mold. Alex was so kind to come back and walk me through determining the extent of it (there's a difference in how far it goes into the wall). He walked me through resolving that, as well. He was educational and a wealth of information - he taught me what products to use to clean & how. He was reluctant about releasing any information regarding what he actually found. He walked around with a flash light looking at items as he came to the conclusion that any and all mold that was found in my apartment was from myself. He said the results I got from another inspection agency was inaccurate and that it only picked up mold because of the mold that was ON my belongings from an "in-use leak" that he found. But my question was where did the mold come from to begin with ? Was it not the reason he and a plumber was here to begin with, mm. The leak in the bathroom wall maybe? He went on saying in a smart comment "well you need to clean your windows it's in your contract" again stating that the mold had come from me not cleaning which is not the case. He recommended throwing away or cleaning all my belongings that had this "substance" on them because it would spread but said he couldn't tell me what to do, just suggest it which I believe was a cover up to get rid of any evidence OF mold in the unit. I had to repeatedly ask if he had found mold and after several attempts he finally admitted to finding mold the very first day he came into the unit however i was not notified until my own testing was done. He even asked me if i had questions pertaining to the results i obtained from another certified company but not his which amazes me because he had no reports to show me. I believe Alex works for the contractors (management) as he stated in previous reviews that didn't seem to peek his interest and is not at all concerned about the tenants safety and/or finding the cause just blame tenants. So I'm sure I'll get some threatening review telling me to remove this as he did with others but im speaking my truth based on interactions and experience with his service. I personally would NOT recommend, not ever you're better off doing it yourself Edit : Clearly Alex's LIFE is based off responding to everyone's Yelp review because that's all he seems to do aside from actually doing his job. Instead he places the blame on tenants to appease management because that's who he seems to work for! Seeing as you dont have the address how can you recall any of the findings? You can't speak on a plumber not finding anything because he did which is why he was there to begin with, the whole pipe burst SMART GUY ! Also you would want to be a little more professional when it comes to trying to call ppl slow because I never used AI although you should. Over the years, I've had other handymen pass on the project. I had a handyman who was able to fill the rotted areas with wood filler, sand it, and restain it. I've even had a gate company tell me that they could not save the gate; it would need to be completely replaced. Bill was able to cut out the rotted pieces of wood, replace them, and restain the whole gate (he also repainted the decorative hardware on the door as well). Moreover, he discussed the project with a buddy of his and they determined that the gate was sitting over a muddy part of landscaping which is probably what facilitated the deterioration of the wood. We found some leftover pavers in our storage shed and Bill extended the pavers so the gate would sit over pavers instead of mud. Before he embarked on the wood gate repair, Bill also installed a valance/shade over a window. He made the necessary calculations to ensure that the valance/shade would be centered on the wall and window. He also made sure that the valence was leveled. Bill is honest, meticulous and detail-oriented. If you want someone to treat your project and your home, like it's his own, I would give Bill a call.

Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. Bottom line: They failed to do a thorough termite inspection, and their carpentry work doesn't hold up. I highly recommend getting a second opinion on their inspections and hiring a dedicated specialist for any actual wood repairs.

On a Sunday afternoon I arrived at my son's home in Corona Ca., to find the carpet soaked so severely that I squished when walking into the family room, hallway, entry, and living room. Called for carpet cleaner to extract water after finding tiny pin hole leak in master bath, and shutting off valve. Carpet cleaner arrived to find water up into drywall, and signs of mold when the wall to wall carpet was pulled away from wall. I live in San Diego and had no idea how to proceed in finding help on a Sunday afternoon. The carpet cleaning guys called their boss who recommended Superior Restoration. I called them, as well as a second local company. Superior Restoration was first to respond within 90 minutes (the gentleman was in church and called when service ended) The second company called on Monday when they returned to work. That late afternoon, a huge truck and crew of 3 arrived in Corona, from Carlsbad. The head of the team was a wonderful guy, named Noe- pronounced Noah, (who else would you send in a flood situation?). He and his crew got to work immediately assessing damage, advising on what steps to take to engage home owners insurance coverage, removing soggy carpet and padding throughout the house, putting up several huge dryers in various areas, sealing off the few dry areas not impacted by water/mold damage. They left around 10 pm and were back the next morning to begin again. The only issue I had was related to getting the money from the insurance company to pay Superior. The girls in the office worked with me to keep the lines of communication open, and help provided any information requested by insurer. I would recommend Superior to anyone. Their level of expertise and customer service exceeded all my expectations. I trusted them in my son's home and the work was done with a level of care I have not experienced before. After finding a long time water leak in our kitchen and noticing signs of mold we started looking for mold removal company here in Carlsbad . We call several companies and Superior Restoration was able to come out the same day . They brought out their mold testing equipment and found out that we had mold threw out the second floor of our house . This was not what we wanted here since it would mean a major upset in our life , and the school year was just starting . The upside is that Superior Restoration was able to get the work done very fast and made ever effort to keep or life as normal as possible . I had a neighbor recommend Superior Restoration and decided to give them a try with cleaning my carpet and area rugs. Everything went smoothly from setting the appointment to finishing the job. They showed up on time and there was no hard sell on everything else they do, like a lot of other companies do. I had initially looked on a few services to see how they reviewed, but really and truly, I think that everyone knows that you can do something good and a million people won't say anything nice, but if one person isn't pleased with something, regardless who it is due to, they won't hesitate to go ballistic. My husband and I had a great experience with Superior Restoration. They made a bad situation (home flood) very easy to deal with. From the time I called to the final repairs, every person I dealt with was professional, responsive, knowledgeable and kind. The Project Manager, Elias Olivares was especially helpful and diligent following up on every aspect of our project.
