Very dissapointed....we had what we expected to be mold growing in one of our storage closets. One of their representatives came out and declared that it was NOT mold. After further inspection of our own, we confirmed it actually was. They never came back out to review or test, but did send us an estimate to clean it up. Can't believe their still in business & ripping people off after I took them to the CSLB & proved they do horrible work & rip people off, charging for work they don't do & not even completing the work, left the job undone, with unlicensed contractors they employ. It's been 2 years & have paid $27,000 repairs for work they did not complete/messed up. We've had 2 water leaks from them hitting pipes repairing a water leak! SO INCOMPETENT as a construction company. Don't use them if you don't want $1,000's of dollars in costs after they've been in your home! I'm hoping to save people the nightmare We endured before using them. Now trying to sell the home & it has had a THIRD FLOOD CAUSED BY THEIR INCOMPETENCE we found they messed up our plumbing! Roughly a year ago I had a slab leak resulting in a re-pipe. The restoration company I used, not Superior, was quite challenging to work with and it was a lengthy process. A few months later bad luck struck again and I had a hose leak from the upstairs washer machine. I chose Superior because of their great ratings. I worked with Chad and he was great. He explained everything clearly, the process was smooth and they were very timely in finishing the project. The teams that came in were knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. June-2013: Kitchen Restoration begins. July 8 2013: Before you restore the home with this company (for water damage only) , make sure you take pictures of original condition and measure expensive material in size such as your kitchen granite counter top. This company uses contractors that would cut corner. Poor communication skill between all sub-contractors. I am preparing letters to BBB and CSLB complaint restoration deficiencies . Moreover, I smell insurance frauds too. July -19-2013: Cabinet guy mistaken with work address. Superior Restoration falsely claimed cabinet guy was at my address. Thank god I have surveillance cams to prove no one showed up for the work today. Aug-3-2013: Cabinet came to his work and told me he got paid already giving me implication that he is not coming back to touch up anything in the future. Aug-6-2013: A piece of decoration in kitchen came off during dinner time. ~_~ Aug-7-2013: Kitchen is falling apart. This whole project started on June-2013 and they haven't finished it as of today. :( No Electrical reciprocal covers near the natural gas line, two Electrical reciprocals missing, phone line is cover is missing & wire is exposing. Finally, the floor is not cleaned. Aug. 23.2013: Phone jack cover plate is missing , cabinet decor came apart and final floor steam cleaning hasn't performed. July 23 2015: hum~~ received a PM from a person claims to be new owner of the business. PM is concerning restoration of business' reputation. It's good start for new business owner. Every time I walk into my kitchen, it reminds me of unprofessional team of Noah from superior restoration company. Two things don't mean jack: an A+ rating on the BBB site and the Superior part of their name. Read the Christina F. and James L. reviews because we are going through the same thing. Dennis Kellas who is the project manager, isn't managing a damn thing. He doesn't know where his men are at or doing at any given time. We said that since the first meeting, nobody has come by to finish the work. "That's not what they told me." Why haven't we received a phone call whether or not anybody was going to show up to the house? "They tried to call." "They tried to leave a message." Blatant lies. This is 2015. The only way you fail to communicate with someone is if one fails to attempt to get a hold of them. By the way, the one time one of their service people called THE CALL WENT THROUGH!! What a coincidence!! When confronted, he uses the "language barrier" as an excuse, which doesn't work with people like me who happen to be bilingual. What seems to be common from reading the two reviews I suggested is this: - They take half of the payment upfront, measure and never come back. - It'll probably take months to get anything done since they are good at taking your money, but failing to follow through. They have in just a week's time failed to show up to the house three times. Yes, you read that correctly three times. "We'll see you Monday." Monday comes and goes. No phone call. "We will be there on Wednesday." Wednesday comes and goes. No phone call. "Sorry it'll be Thursday." Thursday, Friday, and now Saturday have come and gone and no attempts to communicate with us. Did I mention that the work was supposed to be done on Saturday? If you have SafeCo Insurance, this is probably the company they will suggest. I suggest that you ask SafeCo to refer you to a more reliable and reputable company. Do your research and remember an A+ rating on the BBB website and having Superior in your company name doesn't mean squat. read more

It was my worse nightmare. My place flooded all my precious electronics were damaged my beautiful floors ruined! Superior restoration saved the day. We would highly recommend Superior Restoration! About two months ago we had a pipe leak that caused substantial amount of water damage to our home. Timing couldn't be worse I was due to have our first child later that month . The walls and floors were completely soaked, just about everything needed to ripped out and replaced. Noah and his crew were professional, honest, and helpful they wasted no time and got started right away. Noah even went ahead and dealt directly with our insurance company so there was less stress on us and we could just focus on preparing for the baby. We are extremely happy with the work they did! Ok come home from LA. It's 11 pm braided supply line under sink has ruptured and downstairs is flooded. Freak out, wife calls first place she finds. LUCKY in at least one thing, Jody answers and is there with a giant box truck sized vacuum to suck out the lake about 10-15 min after we call. Saved our house from further damage. Came back with evaps dehumids blowers like 15 pieces and had everything dried out b4 he finished. He took out the soaked carpet and dried the walls and floors. We are now rebuilding and that's it's own issue, but Superior Restoration is just that, Superior. Hope you don't have to, but if you do I hope you change your luck and call them!!! read more

I currently live in San Antonio, but I am renting out my old Vista home. During the middle of the night I get a call from my renters saying that water is bubbling up from the kitchen floor. I looked up water removal on the internet and found Superior Restoration and wow am I glad I did. My renters said Jody showed up with in 15 minutes of me calling him, impressive. He got the water turned off, dried out the kitchen as best that he could that night. Then the next day he showed up and brought in all sorts of drying equipment and de-humidifiers. It was amazing.. Due to Superior Restorations amazing and fast service I am completely convinced they saved my house repair bill from costing double. Seriously Amazing... A friend recommended Superior to me when a neighbors house flooded due to an old plumbing fixture that failed Not only did they respond but TWO trucks showed up & kept her calm while walking her thru the process Interestingly enough her insurance rep was there & Jody set him straight on what things she could & SHOULD have replaced Superior assured her that accommodations would be provided & sure enough they were. Also places the insurance "Rep" had failed to notice Jody, who I think is the owner, highlighted needed attention to those areas & that too was cared for He seems very knowledgeable on what the owner/client can expect in this type of situation. A pipe burst in my home and these guys were sent to clean it up. What a great job! Jody is a great guy that wanted to sincerely help me as best as he could. He was there to answer questions and send help in the late hours of the night. Gustavo was my lead technician. They could not have sent a better, more knowledgeable, and considerate employee to take care my issue. He works quickly and is very precise. They get 4/5 stars due to a couple of their employees needing a little more supervision than I thought they should have. If I could give them zero stars I would. In January, I contacted this company. They demanded to start work, but they had failed to send me a contract. They finally sent me a contract, and then tried to leave the job without a toilet for the residence to use. When I asked for a bid for the job, they simply stopped communicating with me and went around me to my Insurance company. I fired them after the mitigation work, and hired a different company for the repair. Four months later they are demanding a check for $4100.00. All they did was rip out some dry wall and put in some fans. They were at my house for half a day's labor. read more

They came in to take care of a minor flood and all they could talk about is how I didn't have to take of anything because the insurance was going to cover it but of course the insurance company thought that what they did was excessive. They, as the previous reviewer said, would come in and out un-announced and sometime not at all for a few days. They invoiced us for a ton of stuff that was not done and their excuse was that insurance companies never want to pay enough so they add stuff in order to inflate the invoice. these guys are going to end up in jail pretty soon. read more

2.5 stars, FYI I had told the contractor all this info before posting in order to be fair. PROS:timely on first day to provide quote,started job as planned, answers phone calls relatively on time, tried to finish work, courteous, mold remediation was okay CONS: great salesman- tells you what you want to hear(my fault for trusting people). I would not recommend for reconstruction of nicer homes,had estimated total 7 days for both mold remediation and reconstruction but took 14 days+, broke tiles in the home then claimed he found them like that - his own company photos before starting the job prove him wrong, gave an initial price of $4081 which doubled to $8000+ ( when I asked about this the contractor replied that it was because I had gotten my home insurance involved and he used xactimate to come up with the double cost???- sounds unethical to bill higher to the insurance co, his other reasons were that myself and my tenant were "picky" ,well he had agreed to take on the job and made great promises and self proclamations of BBB and how many years they'd been in business. Their office and contractors didn't appear to be on same page( ex. They were to call and collect 1/2 payment at start of job, they didn't call till week later.) The cabinet "rebuilding" appears to be done half hazardly I'm sure they did it to keep their costs down. CONCLUSION: If you are in a bind and need mold remediation, you may consider hiring Superior but I suggest you take photos of your property in detail before they start. As far as reconstruction is concerned- if simple home job involving carpet and drywall - then superior is fine-IF YOU NEED CABINETS and other details DONE IN AN ACCEPTABLE WAY, I WOULD ASK THAT YOU SHOP AROUND and hire a professional. Gabe from Superior contacted me after this review, and one similar on Angieslist, was published. He apparently wasn't given my message to contact him about this issue. He gave us a prompt refund of our $50 for the inspection, since it wasn't done on the whole home, and did his best to apologize for the service we got. I guess Consumer review sites like Angieslist and Yelp work like they're supposed to sometimes. I'd still suggest anyone looking into getting a Home Mold Inspection be very careful, both in which company they choose and what they communicate to their home owner's insurance company. read more

Stay away from this company! My first pipe leak and almost a month later I still have a huge hole in my living room floor. They were only hired to dry it out and get rid of the mold, but they have been stalling me for a week on the Mold Clearance Test, and now don't return my phone calls. I called out a new company for the re-build, and he spotted mold almost immediately. What others say is correct: they come when they feel like it, or are a no-show. They have lousy communication skills, and it's been a nightmare dealing with them. I just fired them today, without the Clearance Test, and am hiring someone else to take over and do it right. They just sprayed over the mold with Kills, and that is NOT the correct way to do it, as I have unfortunately found out too late. I am a firm believer in reading other's experiences now. We recently had a situation at our house where we had some flooding. I called several companies in the area and was met with attitude or I was blown off. In fact, the ServPro customer service rep said I don't have time to talk to you unless you book an appointment.  Superior Restoration was different. The very pleasant woman who answered the phone took down the facts and immediately put someone on the phone (happened to be the owner, Jody).  Later that afternoon, Jody came and did a thorough inspection, walked me through each test, and told me exactly what the moisture readings meant and how he would handle the situation depending on the readings. The price was competitive but the service and peace of mind I got was priceless. I pray that I never need to go through that again but if I do, I know who I am calling first.  Finally, they have randomly reached out to me twice to see how things were going. Nothing better than being out of town for New Year's and finding out your condo flooded from a water leak upstairs... demolition was done to make sure the water in the walls came out and the interior surfaces were dried.
