Based on Yelp reviews, I called Jim to have him clean the carpets at my investment property in Oceanside. He responded right away, was right on time, and did a great job in a short time. I liked his service so much I had him come over afterwards to my house and clean the leopard rug in my family room. It really looks great, although there are a couple of stubborn spots and he said he would come over soon and try an enzyme spray. Very happy with his services. His truck is clean and filled with top-tier equipment, his assistant is efficient and very nice, and all in all I was very pleased to have found this guy, thanks to Yelp. read more

Riesters Carpet Service went above and beyond for us. We have a 100% wool rug that was very challenging to clean. Apparently the spot cleaning that I did with dish soap was the wrong way and when Riester's cleaned it the residual soap ran leaving discoloration. When we told Riester's that we weren't happy with the discoloration, Roland picked up the rug and brought it back to their warehouse for a deep cleaning to get the soap out. I learned MY lesson - don't use liquid soap on our rugs and trust Riester's Carpet wit our carpet and rug cleaning needs. 5 star review earned. read more

Such excellent customer service and great response time! I called about 4 days before my move and desperately needed a clean for a Sunday. All other carpet cleaning services near me refused to work on Sunday's besides Ronald! He was super flexible and very professional. Great job for my clients home for sale! I called for carpet, then added wood finishing. The wood looks amazing! Also the carpet had years of deep dirt that they really did a job getting it as clean as possible. They added tile floor scrubbing after suggesting it. The place looks so clean!! I rarely leave 5 star reviews and I'm generally skeptical of companies with perfect ratings, but our experience with Roland and team was truly exceptional. Roland gave super helpful advice before we even hired him, he offered a very reasonable price estimate and the team who came out to clean our area rugs and chair did a great job. We had our carpets cleaned a couple months ago but I'm just now getting to this review. They did an excellent job cleaning the carpets. The gentleman who cane put a lot of time and energy into getting some hard to clean areas cleaned.up. This is THE BEST carpet cleaning service in North County, and quite possibly in San Diego. After considering using a coupon I saw in one of those home mailings, the two companies I researched had horrible reviews. Riester's had 5 stars, so I used Yelp to get a quote; it was reasonable. From there, Roland (the owner) personally followed up and we scheduled a move-out cleaning. (I wanted a Sunday, and they are open Sundays--not many are--but they had just scheduled a large hotel job for that Sunday, so we scheduled it for Saturday right after the house and window cleaning people.) Roland kept in contact with me the day of, texting his estimated arrival time, which was within 30 minutes of the time frame we scheduled, which was actually perfect timing since the other cleaning people were still at the house and I was over at my new house. Roland arrived with his brother-in-law--they are a family business--and the two of them got to work laying down corner protectors and sheets as to not dirty the house, which I very much appreciated. They treated the freshly cleaned home with care and left it and the carpets immaculate! The white carpets had previously had a few dark spots from foot traffic; those came out, and the house was left smelling sparkling clean. They worked extremely quickly and even managed to entertain my 3-year-old son as I was sweeping out the garage. Roland explained that they have the most powerful equipment out there so they are able to get the job done fast. The property management and the owner of the house were very pleased and we got every penny of our deposit back upon move-out. Roland even contacted me through Yelp to follow up on the service. I would definitely use Riester's again, and have recommended them to friends and family. We had to have the carpets at our new house cleaned after moving in when we realized they had not been cleaned and there was cat hair all over the place--I would've used Riester's in a heartbeat, but this cleaning was paid for by the property management, so we used whomever they sent us. That guy left scuffs on the corners of walls and baseboards, took forever to clean the carpets, and there was no odor treatment. Did not hold a candle to Riester's! Call Roland and his team; you will NOT regret it!!! read more

Hands-down best carpet cleaning and tile service I've ever received. I thought my carpet was dead and my tile grout looked like the bottom of the Mississippi River. I sent a message through Yelp and they responded in less than 10 minutes with a competitive quote, and we scheduled for next day service. I needed same-day service and wasn't sure it was possible, but am sooo happy it was! Roland responded to my yelp inquiry within ten minutes and was here about an hour later! Roland is a very likable guy (and that's the bad news!) - it's part of his business plan. So he comes out for carpet cleaning in my nice and big condo with stairs and gives me a price saying he will do a good job and make the place look good again. I've used many professional carpet cleaners for 47 years, and that current carpet he cleaned always did clean up like very well, like magic, always amazing! Well until he did it. It was SO bad I had to have the carpet removed and put in LVP/Luxury Vinyl Plank. What's YOUR time, energy and money worth? I call that a 'con man' experience. Just say no! read more

Firstly, Roland didn't clean my carpets. But he identified my carpet problem quickly and gave me a contact for his repair person to fix my wall-to-wall carpeting. My daughter's puppies did their business upstairs. The problem was worsened by my using a Woolite carpet cleaner that seemed fine initially but the spots then slowly turned bright orange. Then I tried to cover the spots with fabric paint and it looked awful. I was ghosted by two carpet repair companies and then I found Roland. Let me start this review by saying you really don't want to ever have to call these guys. That…read moresaid, accidents happen, like maybe you're fooling around near the side of your house and you gently tap the "inspector's test valve" for your sprinkler system. Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. I found the estimate and statement of work to be very professional and reasonable, and accepted it right away. Ted came and performed the work in multiple stages within the same week - demolition and clean-out, drywall replacement, and painting. He was thorough and searched for and treated mold in the carpet, along the walls, and even in the ceiling. Ted was very respectful to us and responsible, and was very knowledgeable. Over the years, I've had other handymen pass on the project. I had a handyman who was able to fill the rotted areas with wood filler, sand it, and restain it. I've even had a gate company tell me that they could not save the gate; it would need to be completely replaced. Bill was able to cut out the rotted pieces of wood, replace them, and restain the whole gate (he also repainted the decorative hardware on the door as well). Moreover, he discussed the project with a buddy of his and they determined that the gate was sitting over a muddy part of landscaping which is probably what facilitated the deterioration of the wood. We found some leftover pavers in our storage shed and Bill extended the pavers so the gate would sit over pavers instead of mud. Before he embarked on the wood gate repair, Bill also installed a valance/shade over a window. He made the necessary calculations to ensure that the valance/shade would be centered on the wall and window. He also made sure that the valence was leveled. Bill is honest, meticulous and detail-oriented. If you want someone to treat your project and your home, like it's his own, I would give Bill a call.

I am giving Green Flash 2 stars based on a severely rushed recent inspection and the poor quality…read moreof their past repair work. Recently, I had them come out because I suspected termites in one of our rafter tails. To their credit, they correctly identified that specific spot as just fungus and didn't try to oversell me on treatments I didn't need. However, their inspection was incredibly brief. They spent only a few minutes scanning the house, didn't check the attic at all, and gave us the all-clear. A couple of days later, I had a second company come out for another look. They spent almost an hour doing a thorough inspection and found a severe termite infestation in a different rafter tail that was almost entirely hollowed out. They spotted the signs right through the paint. Green Flash completely missed this. On top of the missed inspection, the wood rot repairs Green Flash did for us 5 years ago (costing about $1,200) have both failed and need to be redone. They spliced a rafter tail that is now loose, and it turns out they miscut a replacement barge board on the back of the house. To cover up the bad cut, they glued a scrap piece of wood over it, which has since detached and is currently hanging off the board. When you have a piece of furniture so long and it looks so worn, it's hard to imagine what it could look like beautified. I am attaching before and after pics to show what wonderful work they did, which included completely stripping her, which Stan said was VERY labor-intensive. I did a lot of research on Yelp and through friends to find an excellent carpet cleaning company. None of my friends knew of the company I finally chose, but I decided on Riester's after reading reviews of nearly 20 other companies. I especially appreciated how Jim (the owner) handled a complainer's review with persistent, patient responses and concern about the customer. On 3/13/14, Riester and his assistant arrived on time and got right to work. They were wonderful to work with, were quick, thorough, and did a great clean up of 3 rooms of carpet. I waited a month before writing a review so that I could be sure of how the job turned out. It's still looking good. The heavy traffic area was the biggest problem and the carpet is only about 3 years old. I know carpets should be cleaned regularly so I won't wait too long before calling on the Riester's Carpet Service for the next routine cleaning. read more

Riester is exactly what I was looking for in a carpet cleaning service. Personal service, pride in his work, honest quotes and pricing and overall great final product of clean carpets. After I got a little "proper carpet care" schooling, I'm on the right track to keeping my carpet looking good. Riester will be my first call next time. I have to admit something... Reister's carpet service did an outstanding job in my home on Monday. Over the weekend, I realized I needed someone who could come on short notice. I called several services who came highly rated, and only Jim Reister's could accomodate me. He was punctual and efficient, getting right to work. The outcome was beautiful! My couch and tile came out sparkingly clean. Afterwards, he put all of my furniture back in their correct spots. His rates were about $100. less than any other service I'd contacted. I couldn't imagine a better job. Jim was kind, easy to work with, on time and knowledgeable. All of our carpets were cleaned in 2 hours and almost completely dry that night. No odor from cleaning--just a CLEAN SMELL! We had some bad spots from both dogs and toddler messes and in great need of a deep cleaning. Although some of the spots were really bad (I didn't think they'd come up), we are very happy with the carpets overall. We had one very bad, large stain that he was not sure would come out and he told us to call him after the carpet dried to let him know. The stain came back, and so did he. Since we're a no-shoes household, it felt counterintuitive to pay to have my carpets cleaned only to have them walked on with outdoor shoes afterward. I was downstairs taking care of my young daughter and didn't realize they had their outdoor shoes on for most of the carpet cleaning job and while cleaning up. This left me feeling like, in the end, the carpets weren't as clean as they could have been, which is important to me since I have a toddler at home. Overall, the quality of the cleaning was still good, and I'm still happy with the grout cleaning and stain removal (which is why I'm still giving 3 stars). Wearing shoe covers while walking on the carpet, especially after it had JUST been cleaned, would have made a big difference to the overall customer experience.
