I hired the groutsmith to repair and seal my grout after my new shower installation (which had less than desirable results). Groutsmith came out and evaluated the condition of my shower and scheduled a technician come out and perform the work. The color match was essentially 1:1 and while the grout install made it more finicky - requiring multiple visits, I was satisfied with the outcome. Groutsmith's technicians are very professional, clean up after themselves and pride themselves on good work. It was not the cheapest option, but I think it was money well spent and in general I can rest easy because they stand by their work and if it isn't up to par - they'll rectify it to the best of their ability. In July 2025 we hired The Groutsmith to clean the tile on a condo that we were selling. We had used their service in the past on our home and were pleased. The result of the condo cleaning was disappointing. The tile was left looking dirty from the glaze that was applied and we were disappointed in the results. The Groutsmith offered to go back and clean up the tile. That cleanup happened today and although it does look better, the tile still needed to be further cleaned and more glaze needed to be wiped off. If you use their service, please make sure you inspect their work before calling it a done. This process is quite amazing when it comes to tile cleaning - but it was not so amazing in this last service. The grout looks great but the tile not so great. read more

Fantastic experience. From the initial estimate, to meeting the owner, to the actual work and communication with our tile repairman--everything was a 5 star experience. These folks were honest, friendly, communicative, personable, low-key and know what they are doing. Through their investigations they discovered an issue with our subfloor that was potentially missed via inspectors years ago for a flood issue from a neighboring unit. They only charged us for the work they already did and gave advice on potential options with complete transparency. We contacted Groutsmith to see if they could repair and restore several areas of original 1980's era tile in our house. The areas included countertops in a bathroom and laundry room as well as two tiled showers. The tile for the most part was really not in too bad shape but the grout was either cracked, missing or dirty in many places and had been bothering us ever since we purchased the house five years ago. The Groutsmith advisor came to our house to check out all the areas and to confirm that they could in fact do what we wanted them to do. A few weeks later, the Groutsmith technician came out to do the work and was super courteous and great with our dogs. He did a great job and all the areas they worked on now look brand new. First a person comes to assess your job. He's an extremely knowledgeable and detailed orientated professional. He measures and identifies the best grout color match. He prepares a detailed written estimate. Then you call their office to schedule the job. Scheduling was easy. Final step is a person comes to do the job. The person I had was knowledgeable and skilled. It's difficult to get a 100% color match to the original grout particularly if you don't know the color name or brand. My final color was about a 95% match and I'm good with it. The shower area looks brand new. Additionally, I had one floor tile where the grout was chipped and the tile slightly loose. The technician repaired the tile grout so it is firmly set. Value: it's not an inexpensive service. The value for me was getting the repairs done by professionals that could closely color match the grout and to prevent more costly repairs in the future. read more

First, I don't like to give bad reviews however I was sent a couple of emails requesting I review the services I rendered back in July 2020. To be fair, service was good. The individual that came out to give our assessment seemed knowledgeable and Jan was quick to respond to emails such as when after a week my shower sealant was peeling, he remedied the problem by sending another individual to repair it. However, saying that, was it worth the couple of thousands to get most of the house grouted? no. I can't complain about the floors of the house, but it didn't really change the aesthetic. I would have preferred just to replace the floors. The problem areas was the shower and floors in the bathrooms. We had work done in July and the shower looks shabby and grout is coming off. Looking back, I would have just saved my money and gotten new tiles for the bathroom and new stone floors in the house. read more

I called the Groutsmith back in 2021 and they were booked solid. I called them back in January 2022 to put me on the schedule because of all the places I reached out, they were the most professional. By that I mean, they responded, communicated and were friendly. I had them regrout three bathrooms and we split them up over time. He also educated me about "Bar Soap" leaves soap scum and built up for seven years. Even with my cleaning, it never came up soaks right into the marble.
