GREAT Company.....Please consider North County Refinishing before you decide to replace you old counter tops with new ones. We definitely made the right decision of saving our old bathroom vanity by having it resurfaced vice replaced. Not only did it save us money $$$ on the remodel but it looks great as well. Tony and Adriana refinished/fixed a crack in my shower for amazingly cheap!! They responded promptly to my email, scheduled with me the same week, arrived on time, and fixed it in a few hours. I am SO grateful to them!!! This was after I had three different plumbing companies over to my house who told me it wasn't fixable and I would have to get a brand new shower, and because my shower was attached to my bath, they would have to do a whole new bath too!! It is rare to find someone so reliable, honest, and professional who you can trust to let in your home these days. I was lucky to find Tony (thanks to the many great Yelp reviewers!). When I first contacted him, he promptly responded through email, and never left me hanging. He was good about wearing shoe covers when he arrived to keep my home clean and brought all sorts of coverings to make sure all my carpet wouldn't get dirty in the process. The shower and tub took about 3 days work due to the drying process. Tony never once complained about having to come back to make sure the job was done right. He also stuck to his word and did not keep raising the price on me, even when we found out the projects were much more involved than we thought. Perfect!! Tony did my fiberglass shower. It was the original one from the 70's, old and dingy. He refinished with a clean bright white. It literally looked like a new enclosure. It's been almost 2 years since he did it and its still perfect. I'm using him again for the other bathroom. The price difference between remodeling or having Tony refinish was a no brainer. Tony is a ROCK STAR! For months I contemplated replacing my bathtub/shower surround and happened to find North County Refinishing on Yelp and thought that if my surround could look as good as the pictures and reviews claim, there is no reason to replace it. I couldn't imagine that bringing my surround back to life was possible, it was dated and cracked and the prior owner appeared to have attempted some DIY fixes that looked hideous....but from the very start Tony was completely confident that he could do it. When he was done it looked so much better than I ever imagined! Everything had to dry for a couple days then Tony came back and reexamined everything did a couple touch ups and put all the trim back on. Tony is very professional, friendly and a perfectionist. I had Tony come out and refinish both a tub with enclosure and a shower just over a year ago. I was uber satisfied with the results, but wanted to see how everything held up. Here I am- about 14 months later, and everything still looks clean, shiny and like it's brand new! This is WELL worth doing for the money! No need to spend the money to remove, reinstall and buy new bathtubs or showers. No one would know that you didn't buy brand new - they look just like they are! The North County Refinishing crew, Tony and Adriana, refinished my bathroom sink and vanity. It had previously been covered with what looked like paint, which was wearing off. Tony had to strip all the old finishing off, which took awhile. I paid $75 additional for the removal of the old material. Then he applied the new epoxy finish. He was very careful with his work, and the result is beautiful! I was initially concerned about the odor of the epoxy product. They told me that there would be some odor during the process of applying the epoxy finish, but it would wear off quickly. That was true. During the process, Tony vented the fumes out the back window. I did have to leave for awhile because the fumes were getting to me. After a couple of days, the odor was tolerable. Now, after a week, the odor is not noticeable. I'm delighted with the new finish on my vanity and sink. I got a light color, which turned out to be almost white, with little specks of beige and gray. The process took several hours, since they had to strip the old finish, apply the new epoxy finish, and then several coats of sealant. They were careful to cover everything in the bathroom and cleaned up thoroughly. I'm very impressed with their work! read more
