Scott Hinrichs is a combination of meticulous craftsman and creative artisan. We interviewed several tile installers for our large and somewhat tricky bathroom floor and shower job. While his bid came in at the mid-range, we feel his work is at the highest level. Scott is an creative and highly competent problem solver, an excellent communicator, a very committed hard worker, and a good resource for advice on adjunct construction issues. Additionally, Scott and his team are very pleasant people to have around. Since the recent tile work was completed, we've had several shower glass installers in for bids. They have all been impressed with Scott's work. One of them, after checking all the walls for straight and plumb, said, "Someone knew what they were doing here. It doesn't get any better than this!" We are very happy with the whole progression and experience with Scott Hinrichs. CSLB # 1011621. Cell # 760-975-6822. We decided to replace all the downstairs rooms having carpeting with large format wood grain porcelain tile - we chose Western Pacific Tile, Woodland Gris. (As pictured - actual tile color is the lighter color shown - some photos taken near end of day makes it look darker than it really is). We purchased the tile and had it on site a few days before the job was to start. Scott found 2 of the 4 rooms getting new flooring in need of leveling. Scott was sure to show us what he was seeing and offering us solutions to remedy based on the criteria we set forth. He is not a large company and had a small crew on site (which for us was nice seeing the same people through the whole process) at the most there were only 3 people. 1st day: Scott, Steve & Adi, 2nd day: Scott & Steve, 3rd & 4th day: Scott, Steve & Dave, 5th Day (Final Grouting): Scott & Dave. We will need to find someone else to replace the baseboards as this is not something that was offered but overall we couldn't be happier as the floor turned out even better than envisioned. He definitely takes pride in his work, the finished product and his customers satisfaction. NOTE: He works strictly with Tile & Stone installation - no granite countertops. FYI: If there is trim such as baseboards of wood, MDF, vinyl, etc. other than tile and stone, that would need to be done by someone else. As of this posting he accepts most forms of payment; cash, checks and credit cards. read more
