I stopped by the store (at 4:20 on a Saturday) while shopping for flooring for our new home. The door was open so I assumed they're open and started looking around. A few minutes later an employee's head peeks out from behind the desk, and she barks at me telling me they're closed, acting as if I'm trespassing. I asked to take a quick peek to get a sense of their selection. And she rudely told me to leave. Horrible customer service. We were there for 3 minutes and I have never been so offended by a salesperson in my life.

Could not believe how rude and lacking of customer service. We walked in, and no one bothered to greet us or ask if we needed any assistance. We shopped and found a few items and waited for a long while to get the attention of the lady behind the counter. She was on the phone, then doing something else, and never looked up to even say "I'll be right with you!" When we finally had her attention, she wrote down a few things and said "I'll send a quote in a few days." A few days? It's tile! Couldn't this be done the same day, or on the spot like at all the other tile retailers? It took them 4 days to email the response. When we came back to drop off the tiles, there was a different sales person, but with the same attitude. We waited and waited, and then finally just returned the samples to the big table. They couldn't be bothered with us. What a shame. Tile is tile. You can get the same tile at a big box store, a boutique retailer, or a strip mall. But customer service is not something to skip in this type of business. Shame on the management for not encouraging their employees to provide better service. Customer Service is awful. Went there on 4/19 at 2pm, sales lady was on the phone with a customer and another customer was in the store. Once she got off the phone, she helped the customer that was there already. We kept looking through the products while waiting our turn. Another family walked in. If you have no clue - Tile Direct is not your answer. We were part of the "no clue" club. The Great - The tile is nicely displayed and great lighting The Good - There is a nice large selection The Bad - We had to keep asking the sales rep questions to keep her from walking away from us. (It looked like she was just putting displays back up - not handling some urgent matter) The Ugly - When it was clear we had no clue what we were doing, the rep didn't offer to give us a little extra help / knowledge. When we ordered tile for the floor - she didn't tell us why that specific tile wasn't maybe a great idea. She gave zero help to 2 OBVIOUS novices. We ended up buying tile only to be told by the person doing the installation that the style we bought would not work. When going to a specialty store - one would expect you'd get some extra help / knowledge. When going to a specialty store - you expect that you are going to the pros. If you have questions, are still deciding on things, or need design assistance STAY FAR FROM HERE. they very clearly only care about the customer they can close the deal with that day. Went in looking at tile, we're in the beginning stages of designing so we weren't there to place an order - but surely not a throw away customer, though we were treated as such. Being inside for 40 minutes not once did the associate greet us, ask how we were doing, or offer to help despite us pulling tiles left and right, working on our design. When she finally did choose to acknowledge us, she did not offer any further attention beyond saying hello, then promptly going back to ignoring us. When I asked for VERY basic details about the tiles we'd narrowed down to, she brushed me off, gave no information (I was asking for brand/company, color name, and price) and literally turned away mid sentence to talk to someone else. Absolutely appalled by this behavior, lack of respect, and incredibly disappointed by such a negative customer experience. read more

I waited 20 years to have the resources to remodel my house. With a very tight budget and a very small bathroom I came to the nice folks at tile direct to pick out tile. I am so overjoyed with the help I got and the price point I was given. This floor tile was two dollars a square foot more at another "discount" tile store. I couldn't be more satisfied and will absolutely use tile direct for the next project coming at the end of summer. We even came to pick out tile with our two-year-old granddaughter in tow but patien and creativity was the order of the day! read more

We've been there twice and each time she has been wonderful. The last time we were there she spent each minute until we left guiding and helping us. A few months ago I purchased Italian tile from Tile Direct to remodel a 28 year old guest bathroom. Roxie was marvelous in helping me select the tile and offer advice on composition. (See photos). When it came time to do the shower pan, the supplier sent the wrong tile. This delayed the work but Jamie did her best to get delivered in a timely fashion. Both women are helpful, delightful to work with, and they know their stock well. The showroom is packed with nice choices and has a table where customers can lay out a plan with the tile. After ordering two different tiles for our remodel, I called to check on the delivery which was past due. Erin advised she would check on the delivery and call me back. She never called. After we did receive the order we wanted to return or exchange one of the tiles. Erin told us she would contact the supplier regarding a return and she would call us back but again she never called. We then went into the store to see if we could get a bullnose to match our other subway tile. Erin advised that the tile did have a matching bullnose available and we told her we wanted to order some. Asking what availability was, Erin told us she would call the supplier to check stock and told us she WOULD CALL US BACK but no call. We really wanted the matching tiles but had to proceed with no help from Erin or Tile Direct. Zero customer service. They are good at taking your order but don't expect even the most basic customer service. Remodels are stressful enough without being strung along with no help when needed. Strongly suggest you steer clear of this store. There are other very good tile stores nearby. read more

We recently remodeled our bathrooms and purchased some marble for our countertops. The whole experience from Tile Direct was simply exceptional from the quality of their products and service. The store has a very large and diverse selection of tiles, marbles, wood, granite, etc. You name it, they have it. Not only was there a lot of different choices to choose from, the quality was also the same or better to the samples on display at the store. Unlike some places where the sample differs from the actual product, what you see is what you get here. The owner of the store is also very friendly and knowledgeable about his products. He was able to tell me the differences and make good recommendations based on my needs. Very easy to get along with and the customer service was exceptional and I had personalized attention in helping me pick the right marble countertop. When we originally came to Tile Direct it was owned and run by a husband and wife-John and Frankie. I'm told they had some family emergency and had to sell the business and move back to New Zealand. Bummer. When we worked with John and Frankie they were great and I would have rated this place with 5 stars. Now that it is owned/run by Greg and his mother and some other random younger female employee it has really gone down hill. The prices are still great but communication and customer service is downright bad. The younger girl was unable to answer any of our questions and seemed to know very little about the products. She offered to ask the owner or his mother and have them call us back, we left our contact information and 3 days later had heard nothing from them. We called back and spoke to Greg who admitted he had never received any kind of message. At the time we were looking for a couple of different products, 1 being a basic marble subway tile. We were told they don't carry it, and while they could order it, he would prefer not to, and then suggested we try Bedrosians. That is horrible business in my opinion. We ended up ordering everything we needed from another company, and while we paid slightly more, at least they communicated with us and were polite. read more

Tile Direct was super helpful and we found amazing tile here! Nothing but good things to say, more pricy than Lowes but the quality is so much better. We LOVE our floor. The only bummer was we had some issues with their contracting company (EHI) not fully completing the job and taking off with the check. Not a reflection on the store but maybe shop around for a contractor after you buy your tile. read more

The staff at Tile Direct & especially Roxy has gone on and beyond in accommodating our special needs including making special arrangements for a curbside delivery. They have a huge selection with reasonable pricing. I used to go to the big box stores. I believe I found a gem they have experience designers on staff. I place my orders with Roxy under a week it is at my curbside just for a little extra charge on my delivery. Worth it to me. The manager & other designer are extremely helpful as well.
