Overall an excellent experience. Charles was on-time for both the estimate and work appointments to restore our shower grout. I found his estimate considerably more inexpensive compared to other service providers, also found on Yelp. He described all the steps in the process and set realistic expectations on the results. Myself and the wife (most importantly) are very happy with the results of the restoration. In fact, we are so happy with it that we want to hire him again to restore our flooring grout in both bathrooms. read more

Amazing job! I had no idea my 30 year old tile floors could look brand new again. Charlie was prompt, professional and pleasant. It was the best service experience I've had in a long time. I highly recommend. read more

Very professional and the owner does exceptional work! His work is lasting longer than others because of the material he chooses. Highly recommend! read more

GroutPro was unable to service the area I live but provided a quick response and referral. Thank you.

Wow is all I can say. My travertine floors and grout look brand new. Charles was professional, and really took the time to explain the proper care to keep the grout looking like it does right now. Highly recommend his services. read more

Not sure what's up Jordan's butt, but my experience was stellar. While pregnant during my third trimester, I knew I desperately needed to get our master shower up and running as my husband and I had been avoiding it because the grout was disgusting. Reached out via Yelp, scheduled an appointment, Charlie showed up on time for a consultation. He assessed our grout and walked me through his quote, then we scheduled a time for him to do the job. He was communicative about when I should be out of the house to avoid any fumes as a precaution, and made sure to set up fans too. Once again, arrived on time and finished leaving my grout and shower looking like new! For what it's worth, Charlie *is* a little old school (schedules on paper and accepts cash or check only), but to me that also means he has old school experience. Which my nasty, old school, 90s tiled shower absolutely needed. read more

Charlie is amazing. Enough said. He knows how to restore your old grout. I highly recommend him.

Recommended! Our shower looks so clean and white! The owner was quick to respond, came to our house and gave a reasonable quote.

We recently moved to a rental home in La Jolla. The grout in the tile floors was extremely dirty -- so much so that my wife decided to check Yelp for someone who could help. GroutPro came up with glowing reviews so my wife called Charlie who came out and gave us an estimate. The price was reasonable and we set an appointment. Today Charlie came out and worked for HOURS -- scrubbing our tile floors and grout until everything was way cleaner than we could have imagined possible. The grout is now bright white -- just like new. Amazing job! GroutPro gets 5 stars from us for sure! read more

Charlie was awesome to work with - very communicative and did a great job on our shower. It was a smaller job but he made it feel like we were a top client throughout the process. Not only did Charlie do a great job, but he also went out of his way to provide us with tips on how to make the grout last longer. Definitely recommend! read more

Need some grout work done look no further. Charlie was on time and was extremely professional in his work. My shower looks brand new.

Don't waste your time, Charlie is very unprofessional. I reached out to Charlie and scheduled an appointment with him. 30 minutes past our appointment, I reached out to him to confirm if he was still coming and he admitted he had forgotten and he was already home and unwilling to come. I had to follow up with him several times to reschedule; yes, he put the onus on the customer and didn't hold any professional accountability even though he was the one that missed the appointment. I question why I even tried so hard... but when he finally got here, he provided a quote and left. I followed up with him because I had questions about the grout color and the scope of the project. He had told me he was available for this job on 2/20. I texted him and called him, leaving him a voicemail, prior to 2/20. Never again heard from him. I was never rude to him or anything; this guy has zero accountability and zero professionalism. Don't waste your time. There are plenty of other Grout restoration companies and they are very responsive and professional. Update: In response to Charles's comment below trying to justify his actions and put the blame on me. I told him my wife is usually still sleeping at that time and the project was in the master bathroom. I guess he didn't like that. I didn't suggest any grout; I asked him about epoxy grout because I heard mixed reviews. I didn't try to push for that or anything, was just seeking his opinion. And then I tried to negotiate, but I wasn't pushy for that and I was willing to accept his price if he would have called me back. I was trying to actually add scope to include my bathroom counters too but Charles never responded. It's ironic that he mentions respect because he never respected my time. And objectively, it is unprofessional to schedule an appointment with someone and then forget and then put the onus on them to reschedule. So if you're willing to change your wife's schedule, book multiple appointments, not ask any clarifying questions, and accept whatever quote he gives you, then you might enjoy his work. Otherwise find someone else. read more

Charles did a super pro job on our shower grout cleanup and seal. The grout was quite receded in many places and very discolored and he got every single line restored and sealed up. It looks new now. He was on time to the minute and explained how to care for things going forward. Highly recommended. read more

Charlie performed re-grout work for us on a 30-year old shower. He was very straightforward and honest in his estimate, showed up exactly on time on the scheduled day of work, and the results look great for a very reasonable job price. The job included removing a whole bunch of badly applied silicone sealant which had been applied by the homeowner as a "quick fix" (sorry about that!). Final results look very professional and watertight. read more

I can't complain too much about GroutPro. Charlie... ...was punctual for the estimate and the actual job/work. ...put forth an honest effort and was trustworthy. ...didn't stop to take phone calls or a two-hour lunch or other nonsense. ...knows his competition and is able to give you a great price! ...does the work himself. He doesn't bid you, then send in a crew. read more

We had Charlie come and work on our master bathroom. It was a mess and we believed that a complete remodel may have been our only good option. Charlie arrived precisely on time for his visit to bid on the project. He assured us that he could make our shower and vanity look nice again. We are amazed at the transformation he performed. Our tile and grout look brand new. He showed up right on time, finished right when he estimated, and left the house looking like nobody had ever come over. We're really happy with every aspect of the service and give our unreserved recommendation to anyone needing grout or tile work. read more

Charlie Smith, owner of GroutPro, did an outstanding job cleaning and restoring a large area of the ceramic tile floors in our home. He worked systematically and strategically to hand scrub our blackened grout and carefully colored it to blend with the tiles. The whole process was mess-free and meticulously executed. Charlie was professional in all ways, detailing and delivering the estimate, arriving on time and communicating his status. We highly recommend GroutPro for any grout cleaning/restoring tasks you might have. read more

Charlie with GroutPro did a great job with cleaning up the tile and grout in two showers. One was a particularly difficult job (kids' bathroom oh yuck) and it looks brand new. He was punctual, prices were clearly explained and fair, and the quality of the work was excellent. Definitely recommend Charlie and GroutPro! read more

My experience with GroutPro could not have been better or easier. Charlie is professional, friendly and does excellent work. The white grout in my Master Bath had seen better days. I thought it would cost a fortune to call in a pro, so I tried every DIY recommendation I could find, i.e. vinegar & baking soda, products from Home Depot, etc etc and I just kept making it worse. The grout ranged from white to yellowish to rusty brown in places, SO gross. Now it is a beautiful snowy white, and I am thrilled! It's like having a brand new shower. Charlie also cleaned the floor grout (returned it to white after years of it being dingy gray) and redid the moldy caulk around the tub in my kids' bath--no more yucky black corners and patches. The prices was fair and well worth every penny. I recommend GroutPro without reservation. read more

Highly reliable. Very knowledgeable and did great work for a reasonable price. My tile is sparkling and my grout clean clean clean. Amen.

Charlie is probably one of the most honest and hardworking guys I have met in a long time. He does excellent work, reliable and fair on cost, gave me an estimate and stuck to it. Recommend him for any grout work. Took a beat up home and made it brand new again. read more

I had a good feeling about GroutPro from the outset. Charlie was quick to respond to my request for a quote and showed up within 2 days. He was very down to earth and assured me he could have my tile looking new again. I felt like I had a trusted friend in the grout biz. Although he was very busy with other jobs, he was able to squeeze me in before the holidays. He cleaned, replaced the old grout and sealed the tile surrounding my tub as well as my tiled floors in our master bathroom. We are so pleased with the outcome. I appreciated his honesty and no-nonsense approach to getting the job done. There are others out there that are very salesy and purposely intimidating. Look no further, GroutPro is the only option! read more

Charlie came out while we were quarantined and could not meet him at our condo. He gave us a very fair bid by phone to clean the grout on the entryway and bathroom as well as the bathtub area. Four hours later, he sent the before and after pictures and it went from yellowed and discolored grout to brand new looking. He could not have been nicer or more professional during a very trying time. We are so grateful and appreciative and highly recommend GroutPro! read more

Our shower is 26 years old and had been treated by a former owner which left the tile floor black in many areas resembling mildew, as well as retaining water underneath the floor which added to the problem. It was disgusting and embarrassing. Now it looks brand new. Amazing. We had another bathroom done, kids/teenagers shower...ugh, and also brand new looking. Charlie is personable, quick, prompt and I wish I had know that this service existed a long time ago. read more

When Charlie from Grout Pro came out to bid my job, I liked him right off. Courteous, knowlegeable and professionable - What more can you ask? Now, with the job done to perfection, I'm happy to recommend Grout Pro to anyone who needs their tired, cracked and stained grout made like new! Call Charlie, you'll be glad you did! read more

Charlie is the consummate professional. He provided an estimate for restoring my tile grout in the kitchen (gray tile and grout) and bathrooms (white tile and grout). He also recommended re-caulking around the toilet because the white caulk was discolored. He explained his process, answered questions, provided a more-than-reasonable price (payment by cash or check), and set up an appointment. He is in high demand, so the appointment was five weeks out (and he is well worth waiting for!) He showed up on-time. He cleaned the floors first. Then, he re-tinted the grout (he is a master at mixing colors to come up with the right color - and did several mixes and samples on the grout for me to choose from). Finally, he sealed the grout. He is a craftsman and has incredible attention-to-detail. The result is that all the floors look brand new! read more

Fabulous job . Charlie came out to see what work needed to be done . Gave us a estimate explaining exactly what he would do . He did a wonderful job making my tiled bathrooms look new again and my marble and granite countertops sparkled when he was done . Best of all he told me what the problem was with how I was cleaning everything and how not to repeat doing what I was doing to prevent the same build up. I would definitely give his name out to people in need of his service . Reliable, honest , and extremely knowledgeable . read more

Charlie cleaned/repaired the grout and caulk in our master bathroom. He did the shower, bathtub and the counter/sinks. He did an *amazing* job. The bathroom looks brand new. He was punctual, professional and very personable. Big thumbs up for Charlie and Grout Pro. read more

I am so happy I found Charlie/Grout Pro on Yelp! The grout on my tile in the hallway, living room and dining room is 24 years old and had never been cleaned other than regular housekeeping. To make it worse, it has prominent grout lines so the dirt shows in spots that were well traveled or not covered by furniture or rugs. So the color of the grout was inconsistent. Charlie came and did his magic and now after 2 days, the tile and grout looks amazing. It is so clean and the color is consistent throughout. Charlie was prompt, personable, and professional. He explained all the steps and how to keep the tile in this new condition. read more

GroutPro cleaned, stained and sealed our shower and our kitchen floor. He ended up having to do more work than expected (replace grout and stain more area), but did not charge more than he originally quoted for the job. I was prepared to suffer and deal with this ugly shower shower we received when we purchased the home. We were actually pricing redoing the shower tile. BLLEEEEP! Way too much! Then I found GroutPro. Charles answered the call at my odd hour and we managed to start texting details. Today he came and did his magic. WHAT the HEY? We feel like we have a new place. Really!
