Too bad there isn't a 0 check mark- this company does not deserve 1 star. We got a coupon in the mail for "3 rooms at $48.95. I called and arranged to have one room cleaned (with a big area rug) and confirmed the price. I was not there but my daughter let them in, and gave them a $100 bill and was given back $20.00 in change, stating $20.00 was for "spot cleaning" (which the coupon shows as included) and $10.00 for tax (which should have been $7.25. I called and spoke to Mark who told me she told him to keep the change, which she did not. Also, they left debris (popcorn that was stuck to the carpeting). most of it could have been vacuumed up. They took full advantage of my daughter and when I called to talk to him he suddenly was not the nice guy I originally spoke to, he was totally short and rude and hung up before I was done speaking to him. read more

Great service...on time....very professional....always makes my carpet look spectacular

First off, Mark is a really friendly guy, and the pricing was as advertised. We have a larger house and liked the price. However, I wasn't that impressed with the end result. He uses a buffer to scrub the carpet's surface and a cotton string pad (like a mop) to clean up the product. I was a little alarmed that there was no extraction machine to lift away the dirt, especially from deep in the fibers. He said it's not steam, and it's better, and the pad would pick it up. I figured we'd let him get at it and would expect to see the results later. Does the carpet look better than it was? Certainly. Did it get rid of darker spots? Not really. Do I think a deeper clean with an extraction machine to lift away the dirt would have been significantly better? 100%! We did what we could to make his job easier. We moved almost all the furniture so he could get around quickly and get a better clean. We pointed out a couple of spots that needed special attention. We have lighter carpets about a year old, but we don't have pets or walk with outside shoes or barefoot and keep food/drink away as much as possible, so the carpets were in realtively good shape. We'll not be using Mark again and will look for another company to provide a better end result even if we have to pay more. read more

The rugs were dirty so of course I payed extra for spot cleaning. But he was in and out too fast. And told me it will look good after it dried. I've had service before where I could see a difference right away. And there was not just dirt left but other residue too. When I had 7 boys in the house, the house looked better with other services. But the rugs look better than they did so, I guess if I stay on top of cleaning them more often. Which now seeing the difference is crazy. We were not expecting a new carpet obviously, but what we weren't expecting were puddles in our carpet the guy didn't even want to take his shoes off so we could prove it to him. You can clearly tell where he missed to clean ( he missed a lot of areas may I clarify) which he also did admitted to doing so. I hate to post a negative review. Everyone has the opportunity to make a living. But I really feel the need to post this after months of considering whether to or not First time we used Mark's was shortly after we moved into our home. Brand new carpet. Two long threads of carpet were pulled loose in Master & Guest Bedrooms. We didn't notice until after their departure as we didn't go upstairs until later so carpet could dry. My husband decided to use Mark's again about 6 months ago because of prices in their ad. I cautioned. They came. Mark's cleaned stairs, walkway areas of landing at top of stairs, around beds in 2 bedrooms, small foot traffic area in office and living room. Definitely not 2,100 sq ft which their ad says would be $108.95. More like 5 areas for $68.95, Of course with stairs added, I'd go for $98.95 1700 sq ft (even though a lot less sq ft--we have a lot of tile in our home). However, our bill was $198. AND WE PAID NICE TIP!!!! as cleaner professed spots would be gone. They were not!!!! They did a good job on our stairs and the areas that didn't have a couple of darkened spots. But darkened spots were still there after carpet dried. Sad to say, we feel price gouged and not too happy with results. Will not be calling Mark's again or recommending. read more

I just need to put this review out there because I feel like I was completely robbed first off he charged me 80.00 for two rooms which I was okay with if they got cleaned that price was for extra stain removal sadly I offered to vacuums and he said no need I have one but when he left there was dirt and tacks and pieces of glass left on the carpets no stains were removed I had to go and scrubb them out myself plus there was food particle still on the carpet he didn't even cover the whole floor he just whipped around in circles and was finished in 30 minutes altogether the floors were very wet and they dryed hard and crunchy the rooms prior never smelled bad now they real awful I don't want to enter the room I'm so upset and disappointed I'm going to have to have these carpets redone from what he's done to them read more

Mark is very nice whenever I have called him. I have used their service twice now. Today being the 2nd time. The 1st time they did a good job so that is why I called them back. I also had to change my appointment from an afternoon to a morning when I called last week and he was very accommodating. They showed up around 9:35 for a 9 am appointment. On the phone he told me $100 for a whole house my size 1500 square feet, and $30 extra for a treatment to work on spots and high traffic areas. He honored that price when he arrived. They were done in under 25 minutes. This time much faster than last time. I did mention the new paint that was done 2 days prior, and let them do their work and did not watch them. After they left I noticed that their buffer machine had brushed up against several walls and baseboards scuffing up the new paint and leaving hair and wet residue all over them. I wish they had been a little more careful and not as hasty. They had also gone off the carpet onto the wood floor leaving puddles or residue and water which I had to clean up to avoid slipping and falling. I didn't like having to clean up after them. Had I noticed before they left I would have said something, but I also feel that they should have cleaned up after themselves. They also seem to be nonchalant with their cords from their machines, whipping them and pulling them very fast to get from one room to another. I am not sure if that caused any of the scuffing, but it sure was noisy. read more

Just had our carpets cleaned by Mark's Dry Carpet Cleaning. After seeing lots of coupons over the years in the coupon mailers that come frequently, I decided to give them a try. Our carpet was newly installed a year and a half ago, but with two preschoolers, it was time for a maintenance cleaning, and a few pesky spots needed removing. I didn't see the reviews here until after I had booked, so I was little worried that I'd made a mistake, but I wanted to come back and report that the service was friendly and affordable. The only thing that I could possibly raise a concern about is the wet floors, considering the company name implying dry cleaning, but he did say ahead of time they'd need about 3 hours to dry, so I was given that information before I booked and I am not complaining. I'm just glad we planned to take the family out of the house tonight for several hours. Our carpeted area is 3 bedrooms, a hallway, 9 stairs, and 2 bathroom sink areas. The bathroom sink areas are still old carpet we're planning to remove and replace with tile later, but for now they were dirty and needed cleaning. They look MUCH better now and I'm pleased with the spot cleaning, although I'm not sure yet if our darkest spot came out. The price for our whole carpeted area fell under their current $99 special. I was offered a stainguard for an extra $30 but declined, and got no pressure or anything. I also thought I should mention that although I was home alone with my kids here, I felt no discomfort having him in my home. I've had a few contractors in the past who did make me feel a little uncomfortable when they were in my house, and that was not an issue at all. After he was done and I was writing my check, we chatted about kids and dogs and it was a very friendly, casual chat. After 30 minutes I called and got a message machine. I asked them to call. No one called all day. The following day I called again and was told that they couldn't find my house with their navigation. I am very disappointed that I'm now stuck with a sopping wet carpet it's 1:30 in the afternoon and he's telling me it will be dry by the end of the day I doubt it.
