I had this service last year. I waiting this long to post this review because I reached out to the owner Scott, we had a discussion which resulted in a disagreement on what happened. My wife is still feeling the health problems from her inhalation burns from the incident. Below is a summary of what happened. Home Perfect Restoration remediated water damage in our master bathroom between June 17th and 18th. On June 19th we reported an odor in our master bedroom and throughout the house. Scott's team responded and began monitoring the odor and placing exhaust fans in the area as noted by the pictures attached. These fans did not remove the odor, and we continued to discuss the matter with his team through the weekend of June 21st. While Dan's team was here on June 22nd, Dorrae per Scott's instruction insisted the invoice be paid or they would pull their fans out of the house which would leave us with no way to control the odor. On June 24th Scott sent a different crew who stated we have Kilz primer which could encapsulate the wood studs where the odor was the strongest. The did not have the Kilz on the truck and went to Home Depot to get another product for encapsulation. Once the wood was encapsulated, the odor dissipated. During that whole period, we expressed how this was affecting my wife's asthma and lungs. On July 3rd, my wife's pulmonologist diagnosed her with a chemical lung burn. I have time to reflect on Home Perfect's responsibility in this and wanted to state the following: Home perfect states on their website "... smell is one of the first issues that should be addressed" and his team while knowing they could have encapsulated the wood studs on 6/19, waited until 6/24 to respond with the appropriate solution. This made my wife's inhalation a lot worse. The response on 6/22, to remove everything out of the house, until an invoice was paid was unprofessional since there was an active problem they were working on in the house. Scott promotes on his website about integrity first and service before self. I'm not sure asking for a bill, when the job is not complete due to odor being released while the job was being completed is service before self. No one even asked or checked on how my wife was doing after the job was complete. read more

Well, fast forward to October 27, 2022. We finally have a finished kitchen! Can't tell you how super stoked we are. It was a pleasure working with Mike Merlo, Kaleb, and Jr Guerrero. Jr does phenomenal work! Jr really knows his craft and attention to detail. Kaleb, although he's just starting out. It's difficult for me to decide whether to give three or four stars for the cons... They were very nice and very responsive. They came out and looked at the issue but they do not provide a written estimate unless you pay for it. First con (meaning pros and cons!) The second thing that I felt was unfair is that they require Asbestos test which is another $500-800 dollars (they hire out). He said it didn't matter the age of the building (ours is relatively new). I did research and basically CA requires Contractors to ensure that *their* employees are not exposed to Asbestos. during any demolition. So, basically they're passing on the cost to you instead of paying for it themselves. I hired Superior Restoration and they were amazing! They even gave us a discount when they work was less than expected. Sorry guys.... Just telling the truth. read more

Two weeks ago after the really bad rain storm I discovered a leak in my bathroom. it turned out to be a leak in the walls from the roof that traveled from the roof to our master bath and down to the family room. Home Perfect is attentive to the customer. is very good at explaining what's going on and the process that will be used to demo, repair and restore. The field associates have been amazing. Dan and Casey have done an exceptional job of calling before they arrive. They keep in contact with each other so they are always on the same page of what needs to be done. We've made it through the first part of the demo. Brad the estimator for the company took the time to talk with my insurance company that was at times disagreeing on what needed to be done and what they would cover. He worked endlessly with my insurance company to come to an agreement. Every person I have encountered at Home Perfect has been excellent, Brad, Dan & Kasey as well as the associates in the office have been helpful and don't stop until I understand and am comfortable with the process. Great company. UPDATE: Since I can't write two reviews for the same business, I thought I would just add to this. Home Perfect just finished up the reconstruction of our job. I thought the mitigation team was amazing and now working with the reconstruction team I've realized the entire company goes above and beyond. Jack was our adjuster that worked with our insurance company. He was a saint for what they put him through. He kept at them when they questioned line items even when they felt it was necessary to send a second adjuster he met them on the job and walked the adjuster through the project. He was knowledgeable, professional and his patience was beyond measure. Our Project Manager was Rob. He walked us through each step of the project. He was patient with me as I tried to understand the process. If I had a question he had the answer. If I needed to reach him i immediately heard back from him. He set up the job so that there was no down town. There was someone here everyday working. He always gave me plenty of notice when workers would be arriving. When I questioned a choice I made he was calm and patient with me. He listened to my concerns and worked through them with me until I was satisfied. Felipe and Mohammed the two workers that were here almost everyday were hard workers, on time, polite, professional and communicated with me clearly. Felipe did a wonderful job with the electrical and Mohammed's painting skills were amazing. Matt the tile layer worked all day and was very precise in his work. He took pride in a job well done. He showed me different variations of how he could lay the tile and listened to what I requested. I love the shower and the tile around the tub. It's beautiful. The plumber, David was very nice and a fast worker. The counter top layers and the flooring installer also did a great job. The entire job turned out beautiful. I think what I loved most about working with Home Perfect is they feel like family while still being professional. They make the customer feel like they are the most important job they are working on. The office manager, Dorrae was always friendly and helpful. I'm actually a bit sad that the job is over.
