Marco, the technician who demoed the water damaged parts of my kitchen, was extremely professional and did an amazing job securing the work area, even making sure that my cat did not escape as he was going in and out of the front door. I have vintage cabinets and light fixtures that I wanted to keep intact if possible, and Marco was able to do this no problem. I ended up staying with Swift for the restoration part of the job, and they did incredible work. The cabinets and ceiling look better than ever and like nothing happened. They were able to work with my budget without compromising on quality. Ian at Swift said his company would start on restoration for water damage on 11-17. They didn't show up until 2 days later for one day and did not return the rest of the week. We got a call early Saturday morning, someone would come to work, however we weren't going to be home. We wanted to get some work done, however Jesus left our garage door open when he left, and we specifically asked him to close it when he left. Fernando the estimator (subcontractor) makes promises and seems overworked. We let Ian know and he did have Fernando communicate more as to when workers were coming. This crew is fantastic from Samira handling things on the admin end to the mold specialists (Ian and Nate). To be clear, I did not have any mold remediation work done. Unlike other mold companies that use fear tactics to sell you on unneeded mold remediation, Swift provided an honest mold inspection. They did not identify any major issues of concern but also understand that some customers want peace of mind. In my guest bedroom, there were stains on the ceiling from a previous mold incident. Instead of replacing drywall, Nate mentioned cleaning or sanding it down to get rid of the stains. Likewise, in the attic there is some discoloration of the decking. However, Ian mentioned could be normal but not necessarily a sign of an active mold infestation. I'm definitely keeping these guys around! read more

Mold in the house sucks, especially in the bedroom. Ian's guys were the perfect fit for the job. The main advantage compared to their competition is that they are a one stop shop, meaning they take care of the mold removal and all the drywall/paint/baseboard job that is required to leave the house better than they found it. Ian and team are the best! Extremely professional, highly communicative, fast and very accommodating to our needs. My tenant had reported an area of their bedroom wall being moldy the day before a holiday weekend. Swift will say I am confusing him with someone else but Swift is who I did business with. When I called he was super nice and I thought things would be great. He sent someone out to take drywall off to do exploratory cuts and sure enough, there was mold. The cleanup was sloppy, mold wasn't removed and his mess was not vacuumed properly. He told me the mold was no big deal and I shouldn't worry about it. Mold is everywhere is what he said. I called a mold inspector to come out and he lost his mind. How dare I call someone out to inspect his work. He sent me long texts for days about how wrong I was. It got to a point of harassment. All he cared about is his 5 Star rating. Mold inspector found mold and lots of debris that wasn't cleaned up from the cuts they did. Swift doesn't understand the Cirs illness so I would not recommend this company at all. The owner Ian and one of his employees Nate went to enormous effort to ensure that not only our leak was addressed but that we'd pass inspection with flying colors. When our need and scope expanded due to something I hadn't anticipated, he spent a lot of time and effort to explain the situation and steps to me through both calls and texts (even many well after hours.) He also provided extra services and equipment for days beyond my original scope without any charge. He even took time to come himself to ensure my location passed inspection. The best way I can describe Ian and his company is they seem to have Karmic approach where they strive to do good things for you (and often that is during a period of intense stress for the customer....) regardless of remuneration.
