We had a situation where we found water damage from our refrigerator water dispenser tubing underneath a built-in fridge that got into flooring, dry wall, and adjacent cabinets. We also noticed that the floor in a different room had been warped for awhile, and finally connected that there might be a slow leak. We had multiple bids come out to assess the situation, and West Coast Restoration was by far the most competitive bid. We dealt primarily with Albert for the project management portion of the process, and he was communicative by chat and by phone, explaining the whole process in a reassuring fashion to me and my partner. Askia and Chris were the ones who did the initial assessment, and they also were the ones who came out to do our project. They were incredibly timely, courteous, took time to review and explain each step of the process of what they found, making a headache of a situation a lot better. Honestly, the customer service that Albert, Askia, and Chris demonstrated was above and beyond the other two companies that came out, and having a competitive price to match really sealed the deal. Askia and Chris did a fantastic job on the remediation, which took approximately a week across two different areas, which included removing glued-down wood boards. They were very careful in setting up containment and cleaning up afterwards. Everything was completed on schedule, allowing us to move to the next phase. I hope I never have to use them again... but if I ever need remediation, I know exactly the company I will call. A shout-out to Nathan, the owner as well, for having such a fantastic team!!

I was satisfied with the remediation work and the additional follow through. The restoration portion of the work was led by another person and that scope of work and estimate wasn't as smooth. It was the same company but different people running the job like it was a separate company. I ended up hiring another contractor that I had worked with me before.

Tony/Fabian worked hard to unclog my bathtub drain for only $69!!…read more I used the plastic snake to get the hairs out of bathtub drain ( I have done it before, but after this time I will never do it again). As I pull out, 4 inches of the plastic snake broke and dislodged into the drain pipe. I was unable to see it after removing the drain stopper. But water was draining... But then after showering twice, noticed drain starting to slow again. When Tony/Fabian came, they said they will try to get it out from the overflow. If that didn't work, they will need to go to my clean out from the cap on the ground of garage...and had to use a camera to go into the pipe to search for the plastic. Anyway, hallelujah that they got it out from the bathtub and only cost me $69‼

Costco would not install my washer dryer unless i got this fixed. 2/3 of the plumbers today told me that there was no issue with the valve and its not leaking and has no issues. I am glad i got this tripple checked or else I would of been ripped off by this company. **update on my review: If the valve was not going to get checked and you sent a technician all the way out to my house, to not check it and give me a quote, you could of simply saved yourself the time and gotten me a quote virtually. I don't appreciate dishonest services. Save your money and go elsewhere.

He went over different types of carpet cleaning they provided (standard vs. deep clean), how long the process will take, how long to dry, face masks/shoe covers they'd use (he even offered me some shoe covers!) 2. Competitive pricing - pricing was very competitive from the quotes I received from other cleaners. Bello also provided a breakdown of the cost and answered any questions I had. I appreciated that he was upfront with the costs and there were no hidden/unexpected charges at the end. 3. They have a portable machine! I was worried that the truck mounted machine wouldn't be able to reach my unit so they were kind of enough to bring a portable machine (does require extra charge though). 4. Thorough and careful - the team brought corner protectors so that their machines did not damage the walls/paint. We also swapped out our old water heater for a tankless so that we would have more space in the laundry room we created. Like any major…read moreproject, we started by reaching out to a couple of vendors to get quotes, that's where we met Alon, the project manager for Lumina Builders. What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

First, our rep Robert came to our house with tons of options and suggestions. He was able to give us a wide variety and help us select something that uniquely fit our style and budget. He was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly with any questions we had. When we came to the showroom, Robert dopped everything to lead us through the selection process. We could tell he was highly knowledgeable and much more intent on making us happy rather than upselling us on unnecessary products. When instillation day came our installers, Miguel and Israel, were also very professional and highly knowledgeable and skilled. Rarely have I seen harder workers than these two! Their attention to detail--such as lining up the carpet pattern on the stairs and making sure the cut pattern on the risers were balanced--was impressive. I followed up and checked reviews. They're legit licensed, bonded and do good work. Fast forward to the first day Armando and Andres started the job. They consulted with me and confirmed the features of the dwelling and the specific colors set for them from Sherwin Williams pallet for this model. Shout out to the lone faux shutter feature in da back of da house. *rolling eyes*. These guys communicated clearly the job and the specifics to be done. They explained to me the way they will paint the eaves and gutters (a little different from the original paint patterns). I'm good with that. That actually matches what all the neighbors did with their new paint jobs. Armando and Andres got right to work starting with the power washing for day one. The humble abode might have sighed a great sigh of relief when they did this. Gone are the tree sap, chimney soot, dust and pollen stains. Next day, cover up and protect. Then next 2 days paint all large surface areas and most of the trim. Day 4 finish all trim and doors. Last day, touch ups. These guys work hard and thoroughly. We are so happy and relieved to have the house painted right with the correct premium paint - Sherwin Williams. Looking over the humble abode now... She looks polished and beautiful. Take that HOA! I highly recommend Romero and his team. He was very patient and professional in all our communications. The father and son team who I most affectionately call the wrecking team, went about the business so effortlessly and respected the property, carefully placing plastic on the floors and to contain the site. Most of all, I appreciate that Romero was sensitive to the fact that I was paying out of pocket for all expenses and referred me to a contractor who worked within my means and has done an excellent job of keeping the project within budget and on time. Of utmost concern was that the project be finished prior to Christmas, the day my tenant is returning. But the most wonderful blessing is that I will be home in Phoenix just in time for Christmas, you see my Mom passed away this year, and my elderly Dad is awaiting my return. I had a flood happen at my house from a pipe burst in my upstairs bathroom which went on to affect my entire dining room area directly beneath. To top it off, I ended finding out around 12:30 at night. What a nightmare... I went to my laptop and tried to find someone to come out the next morning. I came across DryTechs information and gave them a call. I spoke with Javier and he treated it as if it were his home. He came that same night within the hour! He immediately started addressing the affected areas with some drying equipment and started marking the walls that were wet using this motion sensor. So when my toilets overflowed and drained down into my kitchen, Ramiro and his crew were here in 20 min's. The crew was very respectful of my house, very clean and efficient. They helped me deal with my insurance company and even made a special trip out to help me talk to them. Four days after my initial flood I had a second flood on the other side of the house and Ramiro allowed me to keep the fans and humidifier over the weekend to help dry out the room that got flood at no extra charge. Him and his crew were just AMAZING and I would recommend them to everybody if they ever find themselves in a flood situation. I felt cared for which is hard to find these days in a company. They helped me file a claim in which I've never done before and always pointed me in the right direction. They made this process eFfortless and really I trusted them through it all. Rafael gave me all the details I needed, after knowing insurance was not covering the damage he and his project manager Mario gave me multiple options to consider when trying to keep cost down. We ended up using their services for the remediation and remodel. Mario was awesome to work with and answered all questions I had. Cesar and Juan did the majority of the remodel work, and those guys are seriously a jack of all trade and took pride in their work. I told the neighbor right away, and she stopped using her shower until we could fix the problem. I filed a claim with my insurance... This company did a moisture test, dropped off one dehumidifier, and three air movers/fans. Then, they picked them up a week later. That is all they did. $7407.82?!? I would just say, PLEASE, PLEASE, think twice about letting your insurance (Homesite/AFICS) pick the contractors and handle the invoices. Once they pay the maximum allowed, they will wash their hands of it and will not help if you have questions regarding discrepancies with the invoices. If I had not been stuck with the remaining balances due, I would have never asked to see the billing estimates, and never would've noticed all of the inflated charges. My biggest gripe here is, do not charge for items or services that were not installed or completed, regardless if the insurance pays or if the homeowner pays out of pocket . Honesty and integrity are important. I will post the estimates and pictures here. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well.

Jim Thurber was the Project Manager who walked me through the process of putting everything back together again. He actually worked with my Insurance Adjuster, and I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket, except for an unforeseen leak with wall damage after the initial estimate was done. He had his employees there around 8 am every day they were supposed to be there. Alex and Marcus (i am not sure of the names, but hopefully I got it right) did the drywall/patching of the mess of my kitchen. Then the cabinet team finished it off, painted everything exactly matching the original paint, and put all the appliances back where they belonged. The kitchen looked brand new, and everything was cleaned up afterwards. The timeline was as first estimated. If there were any issues, Jim took care of it! Jim communicated with me often, and he reassured me that everything will be done to my specifications, which they were. Great company! Wonderful project manager (Jim)! Fabulous employees!

However after having pipe leaks and weak water pressure, I consulted two separate plumbers. Both confirmed that the work was bad and they used parts that were not technically legal to use. This was a wake up call for me. In this economy when my budget is already tight to have someone purposely do shooty work is very frustrating. We were pleased to find they not only could mitigate the mold damage, but would pack out all belongings, perform mitigation, conduct repairs, and perform the move back into the unit upon completion.
