But a few weeks later, they began coming at me with another $3300 in additional charges. And despite promises to stick to one contact person, there are now a total of at least seven or eight. Nothing is transparent or consistent. They are also extremely disrespectful in their written correspondence (addressing me by my last name and with no salutation, as if I were under their command in the army, e.g., "Hey, Smith!"). Apparently, this company's billing antics have become legendary in California (see Reddit, even just a glance). Other people have fared worse than I have--at least I managed to get them to complete the work, though now I have to waste time disputing bogus bills.

Rafael gave me all the details I needed, after knowing insurance was not covering the damage he and his project manager Mario gave me multiple options to consider when trying to keep cost down. We ended up using their services for the remediation and remodel. Mario was awesome to work with and answered all questions I had. Cesar and Juan did the majority of the remodel work, and those guys are seriously a jack of all trade and took pride in their work. We were completely happy with the way everything turned out and would highly recommend.

We were referred to Puroclean by our insurance company. Thank you to Pat, Chris, Paul, Victor and…read moreKyle for helping us 3 times in the last year, with various leaks needing remediation in our home. First, we followed the advice Puroclean gave us to not install wood flooring in our kitchen and baths. The FLOOR people who sold us the engineered wood flooring did NOT advise us that wood flooring in the kitchen and bath is a costly mistake, but instead said, "People do it all the time". We were in the middle of a remodel due to finding undisclosed mold, and had already purchased the wood, but we switched to ceramic tiles for those areas, and boy are we RELIEVED that we followed the advice Chris and Paul gave us. We see how the slightest amount of water sitting on the engineered wood floors for even 1 hour, can cause issues at the seams where the engineered wood comes together. Puroclean's advice also contributed to our decision to re-plumb our kitchen which at the time, had water pipes in the slab, that had been there since 1980. Second, these guys will take the time to educate you and possess a wealth of experience that you can trust. I found them to be calm and steady which is important, because they are in your life at the time when things aren't going well. You are worried about mold, horribly inconvenienced, and so it's important to have people on the scene who are confident, willing to answer all the questions you have, and willing to work hard at finding solutions, and who are trustworthy and pleasant. They also cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave messes for the homeowner to address. We found the reports that they provided were helpful and clear. They worked well with our general contractor. Actually, it was through them that we found a good GC that we could also count on. Also, they successfully contained the area where there was mold, and cleared it out. They successfully dried out our home after two water leaks, helping save furnishings in place and minimizing our losses. We are very grateful to have Puroclean as a resource should we have any more leaking at our house.
