I had a horrible experience with my previous contractor which was through AAA and during the settlement process, I reached out to Dan for assistance. Dan is amazing. Very knowledgeable, patient, and super helpful. He could immediately tell from the work that was previously done that it was rushed and everything would have to be demolished and redone. After everything was settled between AAA and I, Dan came back out to our condo and suggested that we change our flooring plan because we are planning on turning it into a rental in a few years. He was very professional and used tools that the other contractor didn't have to measure the place. His report was very precise and when I requested things to be adjusted or modified, he updated and followed up in a timely manner. We communicated through email, phone, and text. The entire renovation took two weeks. I can be a very difficult client because everything has to be precise and exact. I visited my home quite a few times during the repairs and Dan was great in communicating my concerns and updating me on the project. As you can see from my Before and After photos, I am extremely pleased and happy and super thankful that I found Dan on Yelp. I will use Dan for projects on our future home and recommend him to anyone and everyone that I come in contact with. I started moving back in a few days ago and thought that there was an issue with part of the flooring, I immediately spoke with Dan and the next day someone called to follow up about the issue. I highly recommend Restoration Plus for your kitchen renovations. I did extensive research on kitchen remodeling contractors (contacted 15+ businesses) and Restoration was the only one that brought their fabricator on-site for the initial meeting to look at our kitchen (other companies would only have a project manager come out and measure). Our initial meeting was with Branham and Art (countertop fabricator). Art was very knowledgable on what counter size/material would work best for our kitchen. He worked directly with us to find the perfect countertop materials even before we signed the contract which I really appreciated. In terms of pricing, Restoration was reasonably priced (in the middle) compared to other companies I talked to. The entire process went pretty smoothly and they actually finished the project earlier than estimated! Dan S. was the project manager and was very quick to respond via email/text. I highly recommend working with Art on any fabrication for kitchen countertops/backsplash. We have an extremely large island (5.5 ft X 14 ft) and Art did an outstanding job at making sure the countertop veins lined up seamlessly (see attached pictures). I have used Restoration Plus for water damage twice in the past couple of years. Here is why I think they are exceptional: Dan acts as the point of contact for the entire job. If there is a problem, reason to modify the job, new issue, etc, he fixes it. He's quick to respond. In the busy season prior to Christmas, they got our mitigation and repair project 100% completed, and stopped by on Christmas Eve. Their subcontractors are skilled, polite, and efficient. Our review of Restoration Plus is long overdue. 10/2016 our townhouse was flooded by a slab leak in our neighbor's slab. It was later in the day on a Friday when we discovered what was happening, and fortunately my wife was able to contact Daniel shortly after we discovered the leak. Daniel's team arrived with an hour and they stayed on top of things for the next few months until everything was completely resolved. We just completed a remodeling project of our master bathroom with Daniel and Restoration Plus. This is actually my second project with Daniel; about 3-4 years ago we had a flood in our kitchen island, and Daniel helped us with remediation and restoration. Because we had a good experience, when we started looking for help for a bathroom remodel we reached out to Restoration Plus, were happy to hear that they did do remodeling. His quote came in about 25% higher than the lowest quote, and about 30-50% lower than the higher quotes. Ultimately I chose Restoration Plus because of our prior experience, and after our experience I will only call Daniel for future help from here on out. We were extremely happy with the results. Our project took about 1 month from demo to completion, including a few days I requested a pause because we were going to be out of town. We removed a tiled-in tub, feathered in matching flooring into the vacated area, and completely re-did the shower. I can't think of any potential workdays in which there was not progress being made on the project. Aside from awesome craftsmanship, the highlights that distinguished Restoration Plus from other companies were: - Restoration Plus cares deeply about minimizing disruption to your life during the work phase, instead of doing what is most convenient for the company. We also requested flooring work on 2 other bathrooms in the house. Rather than do all the demo in 1 day and leave us with only 1 working bathroom in the house, the demolition and flooring was spaced out so that we only had 1 bathroom unavailable at a time. - Restoration Plus coordinates all the little details. As an example, with other companies we received quotes from, we would have to call and schedule the plumber ourselves to move toilets for flooring work and re-install them after. Daniel handled all that seamlessly. - Restoration Plus demonstrated a lot of patience and understanding. They will do everything they can to finish the project quickly, but they are also not trying to just get the job done and get out of there. As an example, we did not like the initial paint color we picked. Daniel had no problems with us requesting a new paint color, and only charged us for the extra paint. - Special shout out to David, who was the main person from Daniel's team who was in our house 50-75% of the project taking care of many of the finer details from demo, framing, baseboards, and painting. He was extremely detail oriented, super patient, clean and meticulous. - Restoration Plus made a strong effort to keep the house clean!! They laid down ramboard to protect our flooring and plastic sheeting through all areas that workers would be walking. Work areas were sealed off with zippered doors, and HEPA filters run within the work area if it was going to be dusty. During demo days, the plastic sheeting covering our carpets were even wiped clean at the end of every day. - Daniel provided frequent updates to the project via text and email, and checked in on the work being performed, even without us asking -- on several occasions that he stopped in to check on progress, we only knew because we saw him on our security cameras. I have never been through one of these claim issues on a house before, so I was getting pretty frustrated with dealing with our insurance adjuster. In fact, I was nearly at wit's end dealing with the vagaries of the insurance industry and their adjusters. They had a quick response time for the damage estimate and the estimate was immediately accepted by our insurance provider. I also make it a point to schedule things like this early in the morning or later in the evening so that my husband can join us before or after work. It was really nice of Daniel to accommodate us into his schedule the way that he did. You can tell he really tries to make his clients happy. Daniel arrived on time and was incredibly professional. We worked with Daniel Roys and Dave Cerberino for 6 months on renovating nearly every aspect of a home we had just recently purchased. Overall our experience was very positive. We are now living in the home and simply love the look and feel of the place. Everything is working properly and the high quality of the work is clear to see. My wife and I were very particular about the design of the project and hand-picked nearly everything. Daniel and Dave were patient with us and they were able to incorporate all our choices in the end. However, we did have a few communication breakdowns when we were working with Daniel's cabinet maker Benny. Benny was contracted to build the kitchen cabinetry along with a bathroom vanity and the master closet. It took a lot of time for all of our requests to be incorporated into the kitchen after it was first installed and the bathroom vanity needed to be completely redone. This was a bit frustrating and I wish everything had been clarified before Benny had begun his work. Also, we weren't particularly pleased with the master closet as the bars were not reinforced to support the weight of hanging clothes and our clothes did not fit properly within the closet cabinetry. Other than these issues, everything went smoothly. The workers appeared to work quickly, and the project was completed just a few weeks past the projected length. I really enjoyed working with Daniel and Dave, along with Daniel's brother Darren. They were all respectful and appeared concerned about getting our design needs met. I would recommend them to anyone looking to renovate their home. They are not particularly cheap, but the prices did not appear unfair either. I think communication could be improved to make sure small details are not overlooked, perhaps through the use of a google document, but overall it was satisfactory. I had seen a duplicate of my home on a real estate website with a newly remodeled kitchen which was extremely well designed and executed. The owners of that property introduced me to Restoration Plus. I had Daniel come by and discuss the job and provide a quote. The pricing was reasonable and he was able to provide some additional ideas for the remodel that I hadn't considered. Specifically, I wanted a storage box to be built beneath the stairs where I could store the cat litter box. He suggested that we could also have a book shelf built into the outside of that storage unit, which not only looks great but provides even more storage. The work than was done was masterfully done. We had a roof leak which damaged our ceiling, walls, and floor. Restoration Plus provided all of the specifics and required information to our insurance company to help finance the restorations needed. Our Project Manager, Dan, was involved and available from day 1 to guide us through the timeline of the project, the tasks and decisions we needed to make, and how to navigate living without our first floor (appliances, kitchen, living space etc) for a period of weeks.
