Our kitchen remodel turned out beautiful. It's exactly what I wanted, and every time I walk in, I'm filled with joy. Working with Dan was collaborative and easy from start to finish. He gave great advice and pointed us in the right direction on where to find appliances, flooring, and backsplash, even recommending specific people to work with at each retailer. That insight made the whole process smoother. His crew was professional and hard-working, and they finished on time as promised, with the work done to perfection. I'd highly recommend Dan and his crew to anyone considering a renovation or remodel. We'll definitely be using them again for other areas of our home. read more

I can't recommend Dan and DMB Builders enough. In just 5 weeks, they completed a full remodel of my kitchen and two bathrooms, including converting one tub into a walk-in shower. There were four dedicated crew members on site every single day, all of whom were friendly, professional, and reliable, consistently chipping away at a large scope of work. Dan, the owner and project manager, was on site most days to check progress, quality-check the work, and coordinate next steps. Communication was excellent, the workmanship was top-notch, and the results exceeded my expectations. I'm already planning future projects with Dan and DMB Builders, including a complete master bathroom remodel and upgrading the remaining indoor doors to a modern shaker style. read more

This full service contractor has done two jobs for me. First he remodeled a granny flat on my property and did an exceptional job on a budget. Worked fast and completed the project early because Dan knew I had a short deadline. After I saw how good he was, I hired him for a Second much bigger job that was a complete demo of my kitchen and full remodel, including cabinets, countertops, etc. The end result was better than I ever dreamed. Here's what makes Dmb stand out from the rest. Dan was refreshingly transparent and honest with ALL aspects of my project. No BS. Once into the project, he suggested a couple of changes from the original plan that greatly enhanced the final look of my kitchen. He also convinced me to change my countertop product to a less expensive material that would be easier to upkeep and still look great. Saved me several thousand dollars on that one! I liked communicating with Dan because he is first and foremost a professional, explains things clearly (sometimes over and over for me to fully comprehend), and is so patient and kind hearted. During the entire process, he often said he wanted me to be happy with the results of any decision I made and he would do whatever it took to make that happen. When I became anxious, he would patiently reiterate my choices and help guide me to what the final result would look like. That helped me make decisions that I ultimately loved. And his crew is fantastic. He has assembled a skilled team of guys who emulate many of the same caring characteristics that Dan possesses. His prices are reasonable--he's not cheap nor is he out of the ballpark expensive. He consistently maintained a cost conscious approach towards me as his customer. I highly recommend him for any outside or inside construction project--full service or smaller needs....Dan can do it all. read more

I discovered Dan & his team through a neighbor, where they'd worked quickly on several impressive projects. I had them refresh two small-ish bathrooms--replacing the vanity, faucet, mirror and light fixture in the hall bath, and retiling a shower in the primary bath, adding a dramatic-looking niche. Dan is realistic, schedule-conscious and works to exceed expectations. (They finished ahead of schedule!) He's also willing to share his opinions, but in the end, he made sure they executed what I wanted versus what they'd normally do. The team was very skilled, polite and considerate. The only downside was that his online billing system was a bit weird, but it can be over-ridden to pay the correct progress payments. I will likely be working with them again when I find my next house. read more

We hired Dan at DMB Builders for a full remodel of our 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhouse--and we couldn't be happier with the results! The project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget, which is practically unheard of. Dan's attention to detail, professionalism, and organization were outstanding. Since we weren't local during construction, communication was critical--and Dan delivered. He kept us in the loop with regular texts/photos, phone calls, and updates. We always felt informed and confident in his work. Dan exceeded our expectations in every way. We'll absolutely work with him and his crew again. My only hesitation in writing this review is that he might get too busy for our next project! read more

I would highly recommend Dan (owner) and DMB Builders for any home remodeling you have. Dan responded promptly to my initial inquiry for our bathroom remodel estimate and gave a competitive estimate. He was very knowledgeable and took a genuine interest in the project. Once the project began, Dan's crew arrived promptly everyday and worked a full day, each day, until the project was complete. Their cleanliness was impeccable. Dan checked in on the progress almost daily and always communicated clearly what was going on. As with all projects, there were speed bumps along the way (not DMB's fault). But Dan's clear communication and solutions made the project run smoothly, on budget, and ahead of schedule. We couldn't be happier with the final results! read more

We had two bathrooms redone by Dmb Builders and couldn't be more delighted. The consultations were thorough and addressed needs as well as wishes. The process was carried out with constant check-ins by Dan, a very friendly and knowledgeable contractor, and the workers in his team were equally friendly, knowledgeable, and true perfectionists. Dmb builders took our outdated forty-year-old bathrooms and turned them into spaces that we will appreciate for years to come. Five stars! read more

We are more than thrilled with our kitchen/family room remodel completed by dmb builders. After interviewing several other contractors who simply wanted to rip out old and install new, it was a real pleasure to find that Dan was willing to work with us within our budget. He has a good eye for design and is an efficient project manager. He promised and delivered a 4 week timeframe. His team is wonderful to work with kept the project site clean every day. We will definitely use dmb builders for our next project! read more

What a gem! I contacted DMB because of their great yelp reviews. Dan made a huge effort to work with me - we need so much done, and are restricted by our budget. He was able to match or improve upon other individual bids I got for windows, roof, pool, turf, etc. His design ideas are great. Dan is friendly and very professional. Not once did I feel pressured, and at the same time, he was direct and honest about pricing and the scope of work. After about a week of going back and forth about the project, unfortunately I realized that I just couldn't afford him. His prices were fair, but our budget is what it is. He didn't make me feel bad or try to talk me into changing my mind when I spoke with him, he totally understood. I will say that in "phase 2" of this project, when we will have a larger budget to make this place beautiful and not just functional, we will definitely be hiring him. I really wish we could right away! read more

Dan and his team did an excellent job with our kitchen and bathroom remodel, which also included installing luxury vinyl flooring throughout much of the house. I would recommend them for your home remodel if you want an efficient and quality home remodel. Dan maintained great communication throughout the entire process, promptly answering all my questions via text. His team went above and beyond by replacing creaky floorboards, securing loose pipes as requested, and even relocating our range vent finishing the project in just 4 weeks. It's clear that Dan genuinely cares about customer satisfaction, and it shows in the quality of his work and attention to detail. (see images in Quick full home makeover project) read more

Contacted Dan because I was unsatisfied with another, bigger contracting company in Carlsbad who did our drawings and permits. A few things he does far better than any other contractors we contacted (we received quotes from several, big to small): - Dan and DMB work on smaller batches of projects at a time making you feel like the top priority. The bigger contractors made me feel like just another number in the queue. - He's has very high integrity and strong communication. If you have a problem, he hears you out on your concerns and works really hard to make it right. Before signing anything with him, he spent hours with my family and I to hear what we wanted and provided honest consultation. - They weren't the cheapest bid I received, but they did it at a great price at top quality. Additionally, Dan has a good eye for design and can offer up some suggestions on classic looks/trends with things like tile, colors, patterns and cabinetry. His team even went above and beyond to clean up our messy backyard for us which we couldn't get to cleaning because of a family member's injury. These guys are genuinely good guys, and we are completely satisfied and utterly thrilled with Dan's work. I'd recommend him to friends, family, in laws, even my boss. Our future house projects will definitely be with DMB Builders. read more

We worked with Dan (owner of DMB Builders) on our primary bathroom remodel. We chose to go with Dan because during the initial walk through he was very collaborative and creative with ideas of how to achieve what we wanted. He's a good listener too, but he doesn't just take why you ask for at face value. His conversational style opens you up to new possibilities (configurations, materials, etc). For us who are not designers or builders, it was very much appreciated! He was responsive with the quote, including making revisions until we were happy with it. He gave us great recommendations for suppliers of tile, quartz, etc. I also appreciated that he gave us a homework list for different phases of the project, so we knew exactly what we needed to source and when. He was a great communicator (text, calls, emails) and we felt really comfortable with him and his crew in the house for 6 weeks. We are still going though final walk through, but the vast majority of the project is done and we are so happy with the results! We wanted a non-traditional feel (Old world inspired). We went over our initial budget a bit, but that was due to things outside Dan's control (materials), and stayed on budget for labor. I'd recommend DMB without hesitation. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about "dmb Builders Inc." First time they did a top-notch renovation on our home, I thought that they were just giving their very best to impress and win more projects. Time passed by, and I needed a general contractor for another project, more sophisticated this time around. I tried them at that new construction and we absolutely loved it! Again.... During the process, which is a stressful one typically, we really appreciated the professionalism, the calm demeanor and more than anything else the attentive ear to our wishes and to details. Such event could have easily become disruptive BUT Dan and his team simply made it a smooth experience so we can continue with our lives and our daily duties. We were beyond pleased with the results twice and will definitely call them again for our next one! GY read more

If you are looking for a general contractor for a project, I just want to give a shout out to Dan at DMB Builders www.dmbbuildersinc.com who just remodeled our kitchen. Dan is very talented, lots of great design ideas he brought to the table which his competitors didn't have. He's got a very talented team of guys and had guys there working every day!! And even picked up speed working the last saturday and sunday on the project - with our permission of course. Dan was super communicative, ensured we were satisfied each step of the way and far outweighs his competition. There was not one piece of trash or job that was left or undone. And his pricing is very competitive and WORTH it. We would hire Dan and his crew again in a heartbeat and in fact have another project for them in mind when the times comes. Having never hired a general contractor, I really didn't know what to expect, but Dan exceeded our expections, truly. He EVEN had this kitchen done by my birthday! Kismet! A dream come true!!! Also, they went out of their way to do a few extra things for us which was so so nice! My husband and I really can't say enough great things about DMB Builders! What a GREAT experience :D read more

Quality, efficiency, reliability, and communication are what I look for in a contractor. I care a lot about value and I have very high expectations for the outcome. And boy did DMB come through! Not only that, but surprisingly, they exceeded my expectations across the board and even put together my daughter's doll house birthday present to help me out! I originally met Dan to quote me on my backyard reno. I did not go with DMB for the yard and frankly that's my only regret at this point... Dan came to the house to walk through the scope of work and was incredibly helpful in terms of what to expect, how to prepare, and what I needed to do to pull everything together so they could be most effective in execution of my vision for my new home. For this first round, we did a partial kitchen, fireplace, secondary bathroom (jack & jill style) upstairs and last minute added on the powder room downstairs as well. I was quoted 3-5 weeks for the project and even with the extra work, the job was done in 5 weeks, just after Thanksgiving! Everyone I know that has construction work done complains about delays and the timeline more than anything else. I was very proud to say the timeline was definitely met and did not sacrifice quality in the least! Were there a few material delays? You bet! And some of those were 100% my fault anyway. While DMB does not offer design services, they are knowledgeable enough about design to make solid recommendations or connect you with local (free) design services along the way. The phrase above and beyond comes to mind thinking of DMB Builders. I am so immensely happy with the outcome and cannot wait to do the master bath next! DMB Builders has me as a customer and referral for life! read more

Dan was our project manager for our recent whole house renovation. He was professional and really took the time to listen to what we needed to make this place "our home". He has an eye for design, his attention to detail was meticulous. He answered our emails/texts/calls late after hours and even came to our home on his days off to check on our renovation. He made sure our project was completed smoothly within 6 weeks. We could not have survived this renovation without him. What I like the most about DMB Builder remodel of our bathroom is a step-by-step approach from A to Z.
