I am genuinely at a loss of words to describe the incredible work done by Gregg and his team at our home in Olivenhain. He transformed our old staircase into something stunningly beautiful. From his craftsmanship in designing wainscotting for our staircase wall that perfectly matched the wainscotting already existing in our home, to his skilled work refinishing our banisters and replacing the rods, all were impeccable. Our house has been upgraded tremendously by Gregg's work. He also worked tirelessly to get the work done on a schedule that fit in our with our family (we have young kids, so did not want to be without staircase rails while we were home - so he fit all the work in while we were out of town), left the house in great condition, and did it all with our dogs there annoying the heck out of the workers. Gregg patiently worked with me over the span of 8 months as I figured out what I wanted. The finished stair railing came out exactly as I had asked for, didn't take long to construct, was installed super fast (a couple hours) once on site, and all at a reasonable price. Greg Kuzara is the worst contractor I worked with on my home rebuild. Our project ended on a very bad note after he laughed out loud at my questions and I insisted that he speak to me professionally. From the reviews below it seems like he consistently makes people feel like their are being "picky" - when in reality he is defensive about being questioned about his work/design. If you are a detail-oriented person and concerned about how your home should look, keep searching for a better contractor to work with. Additional details: on our first meeting Gregg didn't show up because he "forgot" about our meeting. When we rescheduled he didn't bring any samples and told me I was being too "theoretical" about the design (because there were no physical samples to discuss...). And don't tell him if you are an engineer or else Gregg will threaten to up charge you 20% for "asking too many questions." read more

I've been talking to Gregg since November 2017, just trying to figure out what it was that we needed as far as our stairs went. I was glad we waited for our stairs to be re-done with the risers and wood steps before we had Gregg and his team do their magic. Our spindles were too far apart and out of code, so Gregg got it up to code with the designs I picked out for the wrought iron. We decided to keep our ballusters white for a sharp, tuxedo look. We just had Gregg finished our stairs in two days and our neighbors immediately asked us for Gregg's number - everyone was impressed with the work and it transformed our house overnight. Gregg and his team are one of the most professional companies we've ever worked with! I only wish we had found them sooner and saved ourselves more than a year of headache and worry. When we purchased our home, the distance between the stair rails was too wide, making it dangerous for our toddler. He could easily fall through from the top of the stairs. We hired another company that came recommended by friends. We didn't need a complicated stair rail and our main objective was for it to be safe and simple. They started the job but made multiple errors along the way, were never able to fix the errors, were messy, unprofessional and rude when errors were pointed out and worst of all , they left us WITHOUT A RAIL, for months at a time making it incredibly unsafe for us, our toddler and guests. They were unresponsive until I threatened to report them to BBB. We finally gave up on them and we found Gregg. What a difference! They were kind, clean, efficient, professional, so pleasant and incredibly skilled in their work! They were also honest about the pricing and lowered the final fee when they finished the job without needing to do a previously anticipated piece of the stairs. And they did this without us telling them. The night the job was done, when my son held the rail and went up the stairs by himself, after more than a year of us holding his hand or carrying him up the stairs or warning him to be careful , I had tears in my eyes!
