Alex has worked as a handyman for me for 8+ years. He has done work on our rental properties, and my home. I know that when I need someone that can do any job I have I can call Alex. He shows up on time, and prepared every time. I have had him complete entire remodels, demolition, painting, carpentry finishing, hardwood floors, and various interior and exterior painting. He can do electrical and plumbing. A true professional Alex leaves his job clean once complete. He understands that working in someones home means caring for the home. He is polite and always gets along with everyone, including my kids, which isn't always easy. Highly recommend him for any job! read more

Alex is by far the best handyman we have come across since moving to Carlsbad! He installed 4 ceiling fans when we first moved in years ago and most recently primed and painted an outdoor fence for us. He's always super communicative, reliable, clean and efficient. He always goes the extra mile too - for our fence he even dug out and removed dirt that was accumulated from gophers without even thinking twice! Just an all around good guy with great service, quality work and reasonable prices. Highly recommend! read more

Alex has now worked on 3 different projects for me (two bathrooms and the kitchen). He is hard working, knowledgeable, communicative, affable, and reliable. On the 3 projects, for every unforeseen circumstance that occurred, Alex without hesitancy took ownership and made it right. Price was always reasonable, and the work was always quality. read more

We bought a house that was previously rented and needed a lot of work. Alex has done a variety of projects for us: removed the popcorn and made our ceiling beautiful, improved our attic space, other house improvements, and did some demo and house exterior work for us. We have been very happy with everything he has done. He is great and communicating and he cleans up every day before going home. We have confidence that he will do exactly what is needed. We know he cares about the quality of his work. We look forward to working with him in the future, and we recommend him to others. read more

I have known Alex for almost 10 years. He has installed my French doors, replaced my back deck, fixed a toilet, done some electrical work, installed gutters, the list goes on and on. Whatever you need done, Alex can do it. He is always on time and very courteous. You can trust him to get the job done and in a timely manner. Every time I've called him for a job, he's there. A great handyman turned contractor and his prices can't be beat! read more

I've hired Alex to help with a couple projects (whole-house interior painting and reconstruction after a water leak, mainly drywall and painting.) He is very pleasant to work with, cares about the quality of his work, and asks a very fair price. I'd be very happy to work with him again! read more

Alex installed floating shelves into our pantry during a kitchen renovation in the Fall of 2021. We really appreciate the flexibility that he had given the coordination between the flooring, the cabinets, the backsplash, and the countertop. These shelves were built from raw materials, and were made to hold cans and other weighty containers. He used real wood, rebar to support the shelves and made sure all the rebar was put into the wall studs. He worked with us to ensure that the height of each shelf was optimal for accessing the cabinet and placement of trash cans. In a world where people are either handymen or contractors, Alex can truly be called a "carpenter." If you want something done that goes beyond the installation of something that comes prefabbed, call Alex. read more

We contracted Alex a few months ago to renovate our ENTIRE home, plus 2 ADU's that we have in the back. We love the end result, and could not have asked for a better person for the job. He is fair, flexible, and is passionate about his attention to detail and his end-result. His work is high quality, and is done in an effective and timely manner. He worked well with our timeline, and was great with recommendations and bringing our ideas to life. For the main home, he FULLY gutted and renovated 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 full kitchen, 1 living room, and did ALL of the plumbing and electricity replacement in the entire home. We loved the work so much, we extended our contract with him and he also fully renovated our 2 additional units in the back, which both consist of a full bedroom, a full kitchen, and a full bathroom. Again, he gutted everything, which included electricity and plumbing replacement, as well as final details. At the end, we also had him fully replace our entire fence with white vinyl. We fell in love with our end result, and could not have asked for a better person for the huge project that we set for ourselves this year. If you would like to see before/after pictures of his work, I documented everything in a Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1qbqx6WjgO6URR-NyQtGyzfyF8St7fQmT?usp=sharing read more

I have enlisted Alex's Handyman Services several times and I am a repeat customer for several reasons. 1) He is punctual 2) He is trustworthy, responsible, and goes above and beyond. He listens to what I need and offers good sometimes creative suggestions. 3) I as an older female I never feel taken advantage of- in fact I always feel confident that he will give me honest work with an honest quote and when I ask for something that I suddenly notice I need he kindly either just adds it in the job or gives me a very fair price. 4) His work is always to my satisfaction and being in an older home sometimes the job ends up being a bigger deal than anticipated- yet he never complains - in fact 5) He is exacting with his workmanship, yet polite, funny, and kind making any job I ask him to do as good of an experience as one could hope for. I highly recommend Alex for any jobs you may have be them small or more cumbersome- he will do a good job for you! read more
