I read a recent one-star review about not showing up for an estimate (in 2019). I had the exact opposite experience. Dave and the crew showed up exactly when they said they would, and kept in constant communication with me throughout the process of painting my home. These guys did a beautiful job on painting my home. I did a color change, and I have multiple pop-outs and eves. They were very efficient, had a strong attention to detail, and went above and beyond in making sure that my house looked incredible. Dave, the owner, was easy to contact and stay in touch with. He would provide updates and let me know when they said they would be there--and they were there at those times. If I had a question, he would quickly respond with a substantive answer or give me a call. I appreciated that. Miguel and Medina are a fantastic duo and they worked really hard on the details and ensuring the job came out right. I was very impressed. They are also very friendly with a lot of experience. They've been painting for over 20 years, and their experience shows. The value was there. They were reasonably priced and I think it was fair for both of us. I understand that unexpected issues can come up, but completely missing a scheduled appointment without any communication is not acceptable. At a minimum, a courtesy call or message should be standard. This was frustrating and left a poor impression regarding reliability and professionalism. I interviewed 4 painters before I chose aloha painting . Pricing was good and the workers that David have are fantastic . Miguel and Medina were so knowledgeable when I asked my many questions . I am pretty picky and told them so . I asked them to Please not get paint on my pavers and they were so good about cleaning the spots up right away if they did get any on the pavers. . After I got my whole house and stucco painted. I walked around to inspect and they were gracious to fix whatever I found which was not much . Also Miguel offered to put up the new lights around the house instead of putting the old tired ones back up which I so appreciated. Both Miguel and Medina wanted to make sure I , as a customer was happy. I was so pleased I hired them to paint my bedroom which came out great. They took everything down, painted and then put everything back up all in one day . I would highly recommend this company again . read more

I contacted David, as well as a few other local painters, based on other reviews here on Yelp to paint a custom built-in bookshelf wall that I built. He responded promptly with a very reasonable estimate for the job (the other painters wanted 5x and 10x what he quoted me!) and said he could start the following Monday. He and his crew (Miguel and Medina) arrived on time, assessed the job with me, and got to work. They primed, sanded, and top coated my project over a day and a half, and the result is nothing short of perfect. This is how contractor relations should be. Clear, honest, prompt. We needed to paint the interior of our home and turned to Yelp for some suggestions. Aloha had received so many excellent reviews and we liked what we read. In particular, we wanted to work with a small family owned company. Miguel and Medina are the two painters we are working with, and they are professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. Dave, the owner, did the original estimate and comes by on occasion. Aloha has stuck to the original estimate, even when we asked them to do something a bit extra. Now that they've been working with us for a week, I can say we were very lucky to find Aloha. They have been doing a superb job and doing it in a way that minimizes disruption to our lives while we are at home. They have moved furniture including a king size bed, removed and reinstalled the TVs. They required much less work from us than we expected. And they are very fastidious in keeping our home clean. We had a couple of estimates and Aloha came in at a fair and competitive price. What everyone wants from a painting contractor is a fair price, people that do what they say they will do, that arrive on time, and that do a high quality work. Aloha painting excels in all of these. I sent a message via Yelp late Monday afternoon. David responded to me quickly and was able to provide me with a time on Wednesday to stop by to do an estimate. Suggested the type of paint that would work best for a family with small kids because they will inevitably make a mess and will need to wipe down walls. Sent me the proposal right after the inspection and they got started the very next morning on Thursday. They prepped the walls, undoing all the nails and screws, filling in the many holes left by the previous residents, and painted until the late afternoon. They came back the very next day and finished painting the rest of the house on Friday. They did a fantastic job and were very friendly. We were really impressed by not just the quality of the painting but also with how quickly they were able to set up and complete this painting project. We were able to move in all our things before the end of the week because they were in and out so fast. Will definitely be using Aloha Painting again in the future if we have any more painting projects. read more

Dave and his crew repainted the entire exterior of one of our single family home projects. It was fairly complicated being on a slope and required scaffolding and boom rental. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship in their work While we only needed several rooms to be painted, the project required a lot of attention to detail. The walls in our rooms either had tile or wainscoting (wood paneling), covering over half of each wall, as well as crown molding and baseboards, requiring a tremendous amount of prep work and skill. 3. Price and value Aloha was not the cheapest nor most expensive. But more importantly, we would gladly work with David and his team again because of the quality of their work. In addition to excellent painting, they put in a tremendous amount of work to fix and correct different areas of our room, including fixing grout that had paint on it. We have a house on the water with wrought iron railings and gates. My neighbor recommended Aloha Painting since he has the same and they did a great job applying a very heavy duty coating that resists corrosion. I called David and he took a look at the job and provided a very good quote very quickly. He communicated quickly and consistently. He also recommended painting in the summer with warmer temperatures so the finished product would be better. We set up a time in August that worked and his painters came out and got the first two coats done. I wasn't happy with my color choice after the first color coat and David was able to tint the color to our liking and did another two coats and still finished on time. The results are fantastic and everyone that has seen the work has great things to say about it. The work is so good, I'll be using them to do some additional work that we need.
