Eggs 'n Things - Waikiki Beach Eggspress

3 words! Salmon Eggs Benedict!!!! Goshhhh I'm truly surprised that this place has a 3 star rating because I believe it truly deserves 5, no questions asked. It was my first time in Hawaii back in November and sadly enough, I only got to experience this spot once on my very last day of the trip. We tried giving it a shot on Day #2 (of our trip) when we came to the beach, but the line was super long and we were on a tight schedule. That's when I was convinced!! You can't have that long of a line and not be GREAT! There is no way. So luckily on the last day we gave ourselves some extra time. Their service was impeccable!! I love that you get to order and pay with the host while you are waiting to be seated. It speeds things up big time!! Once that is done, now all you have to do is wait for a table to clear and then your food comes right out. Great system! I couldn't help but order my favorite breakfast dish, "Salmon Eggs Benedict" and it exceeded my expectations!! Probably the best I ever had. I love that we were seated right by the open windows and got to enjoy the beach view while indulged in our unforgettable breakfast right before heading to the airport. What a perfect way to end our Hawaii trip!! read more

We waited over an hour to be seated because this place is highly recommended. I enjoyed it because it had Turkey products (Turkey bacon)and I don't eat beef or pork. My wife really enjoyed it. She got the Mochi Waffles and really loved it. Good place to eat but not worth the wait in my opinion. My wife says it was. Definitely a place to try while you're in Hawaii. read more

The wait has been long every time I visited. The worst was today when I checked in on yelp right in front of the establishment. I waited 60 minutes and then came back when I was 1st in line. Nolan who checked me in at the front stated that it looked like I checked in at the wrong location. I asked if he could help as I waited so long. He stated no and i would have to wait another hour. I then asked for the manager whose name is Edwin. I explained to Edwin the mixup and his only solution was to wait another hour or walk 15 minutes away. I declined but was so disappointed with the service. Don't go here unless you have all day with nothing else to do. read more

Came here on a Tuesday morning, put our name on the waitlist, which quoted us 45 minute wait. Called us in for a table right on the dot. The food/coffee is like an ihop/dennys like a lot of the reviews say BUT never have i ever been to an ihop/Dennys with beachfront views or one that serves loco moco, spam and eggs, and lets talk about the pancakes...waaaaaay better than ihop/dennys. So is the wait worth it? If you are in waikiki this place is a must stop at least once during your vacation. If i ever returned to waikiki i would not be opposed to stopping by here. read more

This was a highly disappointing experience. They need to do better. My to go order was shopping and thrown in the box. Also, for the crab cakes Benedict they are clearly pre-made, likely frozen patties and they are made with imitation crab meat. It tastes okay, but I was expecting real crab and more effort. This place is a popular place in Waikiki the best thing to do is book on line for a table rather than wait in the queue. We were not fortunate enough to be sitting at the window. Eggs 'n Things - Waikiki Beach Eggspress is a hidden gem that truly lives up to its name. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the wait would be worth it. Nestled right across the street from the picturesque Waikiki Beach, this charming eatery combines mouthwatering food with a warm dose of Hawaiian hospitality. The first thing that strikes you about Eggs 'n Things is the relaxed atmosphere. With a view of the beach just a stone's throw away, you can't help but feel the island's laid-back vibes. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple seeking a romantic breakfast, or a family in need of sustenance after a morning by the waves, this spot caters to all. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the food. Eggs 'n Things takes breakfast and brunch to a whole new level. Their extensive menu offers something for everyone. From classic pancakes and omelets to island-inspired dishes, there's an array of flavors to explore. During my visit, I indulged in their famous macadamia nut pancakes, and they were nothing short of heavenly. Fluffy, golden, and generously adorned with macadamia nuts, these pancakes were a taste of paradise. But what truly sets Eggs 'n Things apart is the quality of their ingredients. Fresh, local produce shines through in every dish, making each bite a delightful experience. The portions are generous, so you're sure to leave with a satisfied appetite. What's even more impressive is their customer service. The staff here genuinely make you feel welcome and valued. Despite the restaurant's popularity, they manage to maintain a friendly and efficient service that adds to the overall dining experience. The waitstaff is attentive, ready with recommendations, and quick to address any special dietary needs. As for the wait, don't be discouraged by the line that might form outside. It's a testament to the restaurant's popularity and the fact that locals and tourists alike recognize it as a go-to spot for a delicious meal. Plus, the scenic view of the beach while you wait makes the time fly by. In summary, Eggs 'n Things - Waikiki Beach Eggspress is a culinary gem nestled by the beach that's definitely worth the wait. With delectable food, friendly service, and a view that's nothing short of spectacular, it's a must-visit spot for anyone exploring Waikiki. Make sure to bring your appetite, and you'll leave with a belly full of delight and memories of a truly Hawaiian breakfast experience. read more

TLDR: Solid breakfast spot in Waikiki. 10-minute wait at 7am on a weekday. Friendly, attentive service. Fresh ingredients, but some dishes could use more filling. Loco Moco was hearty. Slightly pricey. Overall, a pleasant experience. If you're in Waikiki and craving a solid breakfast, Eggs 'n Things is definitely a place to check out. I swung by around 7 a.m. on a weekday and only had to wait about 10 minutes--pretty reasonable considering the morning rush! The Service One of the highlights of my visit was the service. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. They were super friendly and attentive, which really added to the overall vibe. It's clear they genuinely care about their customers, and that warmth made our meal even more enjoyable. The Food I went for the Loco Moco, and let me tell you, it was hearty and totally hit the spot--perfect if you're feeling extra hungry. The fresh ingredients really stood out and made the dish shine. My family opted for omelets served with pancakes. While they were tasty, I think the omelets could have used a bit more filling to justify the price. Portion sizes were a bit of a mixed bag: the Loco Moco was more than enough to fill me up, while my family found themselves wishing for a little extra with their omelets, even with the pancakes on the side. The Price Eggs 'n Things is on the pricier side for breakfast, but honestly, the quality of the ingredients, the attentive service, and the cozy atmosphere make it worth it. It's a bit of a splurge, but when you factor in the friendly staff and the overall experience, it feels justified. Final Thoughts If you find yourself in Waikiki and want a satisfying breakfast with a nice touch of Hawaiian hospitality, Eggs 'n Things is a solid pick. Just remember to get there early, expect a short wait, and come hungry. It might be a little on the expensive side, but the enjoyable experience makes it all worthwhile! read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Eggs and Things in Waikiki, and let me tell you, it was egg-cellent! From the moment I called, Giselle was as sweet as maple syrup on pancakes. She even gave me a tip to put my name on Yelp's list before arriving. Talk about cracking the code to a smooth dining experience! The manager, Ryan, was like a breakfast superhero. I swear, I saw him hustling around the restaurant, taking care of tables and making sure everyone was happy. He must have a secret power to spread joy and butter on toast because he truly is an awesome leader. Our server, Keith, deserves a special shoutout for his patience and kindness. I was so indecisive about which French toast I wanted (I mean, who can blame me?), but Keith was there, guiding me through the sweet and savory choices like a breakfast guru. He deserves a medal for dealing with my breakfast-related dilemmas. The best part? Despite the place being super busy with the breakfast rush, we never felt rushed out. The service was on point, and our food came out quicker than you can say "sunny-side up." We ordered the Sweet Bread French Toast with Strawberries. Eggs, Sausage and Fried Rice with side bacon, as well as Waffles with fruits and acai. Let me tell you, our taste buds were doing a happy dance. Overall, Eggs and Things delivered an egg-ceptional experience. The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was egg-cellent. It's no wonder this place is so popular! So if you're looking for a cracking good time in Waikiki, Eggs and Things is the place to be. Just make sure to bring your appetite and your sense of humor, because they serve up smiles with every disho. read more

Traveling to Honolulu for business and tried to find a breakfast place close to our hotel in Waikiki that wasn't super pricey and was within walking distance. Found it in Eggs 'n Things! We managed to walk to the line when it was short...we later found out that was because they were about to close down for the afternoon before reopening for dinner...oooops! But apparently we just made the cut-off. It is an odd way to order...order at the stand, go in and pay, then get seated and the food is brought out. I'm sure it's to cut down on the dine & dash crowd. I ordered the combo with bacon and eggs along with a "clover" of pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. Oh my heavens...salty and sweet nirvana. The bacon was crisp, but not burnt, the eggs over medium as requested. Nothing fancy, but well executed. The pancakes were dessert! Good lord if you put syrup on these things, you are braver than I am. 3 pancakes with pineapple inside with a gigantic cone of whipped cream in the middle sprinkled with chopped macadamia nuts. I ALMOST couldn't finish it all, but powered through. A meal like this fills you up for quite a while, and dinner was definitely light and much, much later. Thank you Yelp for leading me through this place. Yes, maybe a bit touristy and diner-esque with efficient service and not the most modern decor, but the food was definitely on point. And with the windows open and the beach right across the street...heaven...just mind the birds that will sometimes fly in from the open windows! read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever! We have eaten here few times as we live in Kauai and hop to Oahu as our daughter goes to college there. We checked in with 3 of us for breakfast. we had just sat down and our daughter who lives there wanted to join last min. I asked the hostess if we could move to a larger table as our daughter was coming - she told us yes, proceeded to clean the table off, moved us over- then the server came back and said that our daughter could not join us, she couldn't sit at the table , she needed to go join the waitlist and wait to be seated. I explained that we asked the hostess and she moved us no problem, so 3 of us at 4 seat table, daughter wasn't allowed to come into the restaurant and sit nor could she order food, but the 3 of us could sit at a 4 person table and eat the chair had to stay empty. It just didn't make any sense, we added 1 to our group, they cleaned the table and moved us then told us No- the manager wouldn't allow it either. They were quite miserable to deal with, rude about it and logistically didn't make any sense. So, don't frequent the Waikiki location - chose another location with friendlier staff or better yet choose another local restaurant all together to give them your business- as ours wasn't appreciated nor did they really care. read more

During our stay in Waikiki, my wife and I decided to kick off our day with a hearty breakfast at Eggs 'n Things, and we're glad we did! While there was a bit of a wait, we highly recommend using Yelp to join the queue and save time. Once we were seated, we dove into the island-inspired menu. I opted for the Signature Rainbow pancakes, which were as delicious as they were photogenic, and my wife enjoyed the satisfying Breakfast Meat n Eggs. To complement our meals, we indulged in refreshing Guava and Pineapple juices that perfectly captured the flavors of Hawaii. The service was decent, and the view from our table added to the overall experience. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, we found that the quality and taste made it worth it for a special vacation treat. If you're in Waikiki, we definitely recommend trying out Eggs 'n Things at least once for a taste of local flavors and a satisfying breakfast experience. Aloha! read more

Tourist trap! I have eaten here many years back, and this breakfast joint was better. Who knows why it changed, but the real surprise comes from the added line charges you are not aware of. There are two. You are being nickeled with a kitchen service, and then you're charged to pay for using a credit card. WTF? A kitchen charge? Pay your employees more, and raise your prices. The tourist will pay. A charge to pay by credit card? Raise your prices if you're that cheap of a business owner. The tourist will pay it. Let's talk about the food. The menu holds many options. Mainly grease dishes or carbs loaded with sugar. The ahi was nice, but this joint's idea of spicy anything is bland nothing. I let the water know, and he tried his best The other member of my party had the loco. Heavy rich that was enjoyed. The coffee is weak, and we didn't want second cup. Happy breakfast food hunting! read more

I just finished the Level 3 Laser Course at Medspa Institute, and it was a fantastic experience! I really enjoyed learning how lasers can quickly improve results in the beauty industry. In this course, I learned how to do tattoo removal, treat pigmentation, remove hair, and rejuvenate skin. The training was very hands-on, which helped me understand everything better. The instructors were amazing! They were knowledgeable, supportive, and always ready to help us learn. Their enthusiasm for the subject made the classes even more enjoyable. I also loved my classmates. Everyone was friendly and fun, which created a great atmosphere for learning together. I'm thankful for the chance to expand my knowledge at Medspa Institute and would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in the beauty industry. A frequent Hawaii visitor recommended this place and we came here nearly every day after that. The only days we didn't were because we had scheduled events and didn't want there to be a timing conflict. I got something different everytime and honestly don't know what I could recommend. It's ALL good. My husband has been an IHOP fan for years and he said this blew ihop out of the water. I highly recommend. And if you have to wait, it's worth it!!! Went here for Brunch. Pretty crap. Super long wait. Here are a few of the things that bothered me: 1. Guy went around asking only in Japanese if people were ordering take out and brought them up the front of the line... Only after several times did he say anything in English. Guess we know who they cater to. Not locals, or Haoles that's for sure. 2. The food was down right crap. 3. Request tips for take out... (Personal pet-peve). My family went for breakfast twice and enjoyed our experience both times! Our favorites were the ahi and eggs and Kalua pork Benedict. Both were delicious and very affordable! The second time, the food was also good but here's where our problem came in: our appetizer of chicken wings (delicious! we had them both nights!) was no sooner put down on our small table when out came our entrees. There wasn't really room for all of the dishes and I had to do some creative stacking. Now we had the choice of either eating our hot appetizers (and who wants to eat cold chicken wings?) or letting our entrees get cold while we ate the wings. Speaking to our server about our displeasure really gave us no satisfaction. She basically shrugged that that sometimes happens. We had specifically asked for the wings to come our as our appetizers. She told us that Japanese diners like to share their plates so they are used to bringing everything out at once. I have to say, I understood what she was saying but she did not have any empathy with our frustration at having to eat cold food. So here's my tip: go to Goofy's. The food is really really good. But if you order an appetizer, make it very clear to your server that you want that to come our well before your mains.
