The restaurant was very small causing the wait to be very long. We waited over an hour to be seated and then were underwhelmed by the food. I had a spam and spinach omelette that was good with macadamia nut pancakes that I would order again but as take out only. My husband ordered an eggs Benedict that although it was cooked well it was nothing special. His Bloody Mary tasted just like plain tomato juice with little to no alcohol or flavor. Staff was pleasant but there was a kitchen fee added for those that ate in the restaurant. This seems rather odd when the take out orders which you could order and receive in less then 15 minutes did not have the fee. read more

It's a looooooong wait for this restaurant, but worth trying at least once during your stay. You can join the wait list from Yelp as you're getting ready. Sadly I joined the wrong waiting list and didn't realize it until it was almost my turn. So I joined this list and started the wait all over again. We went on a walk and the time went by quickly. When it was our turn we got a table that's in the middle and I asked for ocean view. The waiter said they can't move us because there are people waiting who specifically asked for ocean view. I understood and said it's fine. Later one of the top guys came up to us and said they'll move us to ocean view because we had already gone through so much when we joined the wrong list and then the right one. I was very impressed by that. The food itself was delicious! I wanted to try something more traditionally local, so I got a Hawaiian moco loco and my husband got chicken and waffles because it was one of the few things that doesn't feature eggs (he's not a fan, haha). We both loved what we got and understood why so many people are willing to wait! The people working here are very nice. I stopped by a few times before we even thought about giving the food a try to ask for utensils, and they always provided them to us without question or demanding that we buy. The true spirit of ohana! Super convenient that they are located on the first floor of the hotel we stayed in. read more

We didn't mind waiting long time because we heard great things. My pineapple pork chop was burned and tasted burned and dry. The slice of pineapple on top of it was the only thing that made it special I guess. It came with rock hard burned greasy potatoes. My wife had the loco moco. The meat inside the rice was charcoal! Gravy that surrounded the creation smelled like a burned fry pan. The waiter told us we should have told her. But I know what happens to complainers food in the back. read more

Like everybody else says it was amazing get there earlier so you don't have to wait in a long line. But if you're not an early bird, it's still worth waiting anyway. The strawberry French toast was literally some of the best French toast I've ever had and I don't normally order French toast because I usually prefer it. And we also had the loco moco just so good literally my favorite breakfast in Oahu. read more

Horrible wait.We waited 1hour JUST TO GET IN. Owner is rude and cold. We finally get in and two other tables get seated 10 and 15 min later and meanwhile no one has come to us yet. Finally one table of three gets there food and we finally get water! Then food comes and it's just ok. Nothing to brag about and not worth the wait at all!! read more

The food was good. But the wait time is awful. This was our third attempt to eat breakfast here. The wait time is at least 50-75 minutes, and there were only 2 of us. They called my name and our only option (other than wait longer) was bar type table up against a wall, nit a fan of looking at a wall while eating. Would I come back again? Not if I had to wait, food wasn't good enough to justify the wait time. read more

Absolutely perfect breakfast spot! We joined the waitlist online before leaving our hotel and the timing was perfect for us - they keep the waitlist updated consistently so you know exactly how much time you have. I highly recommend joining the waitlist at least 30 minutes before heading towards the restaurant. This is a small place with amazing views that are totally worth it. We were sat by the windows that look out onto the beach and it was just gorgeous. Our server was kind and attentive, and the food was delicious! My spouse had the Hawaiian sweet bread French toast with pineapple and I got the loco moco. Both were SO SO SO GOOD and SO SO SO FRESH! The food comes out very quick after ordering and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. Lastly, the person at the register was also very kind and personable. Every staff member we interacted with was very kind and you can tell they love working here! read more

Check in on Yelp prior to walking to Egg'n Things. The wait was over an hour. When they call your name you must be present otherwise they move on to the next and do not call you again. Food is decent, prices are okay but Jesus the table /seating situation is absolutely awful. My parents came down 10 min after us and just wanted to sit at the same table as us -- we followed the "protocol" of putting their names down on the waitlist anyway, but the restaurant wouldn't let that happen. Menu is standard breakfast, pancakes were tasty. Wasn't a huge fan of the mango sausage. read more

The food, service, and convenient location right on the Waikiki beach makes this place number one in breakfast spots us!

One of the best place to have breakfast. Service is excellent and food is great. Wait can take a while but this location started using Yelp to get on the waitlist. This is very helpful. You can also see what the current wait time is. It's not a big restaurant but it does go faster than I expected. The wait after 8am is typically in about 40min. We typically get the Breakfast Meat N Eggs with Corn Beef Hash (request for crispy) and potatoes. You have the option to have pancakes instead of potatoes but potatoes are good. Coffee is 100% Kona. Price is affordable at 12.95. With the service, food and price, we would definitely return. read more

Our hotel was close by so we made a reservation through Yelp and walked over once our table was said to be ready. Best decision because it can get so busy. Great location with a beach view to watch people walk around or the surfers catch the waves. Friendly staff and pretty quick service. Very thoughtful when it came to our needs. The food looks and tastes so good. Loved the fresh fruit and whipcream on the pancakes. And can not go wrong with Portuguese sausage. read more

Here, you can have some of the old fashioned Hawaiian meals such as: Loco moco, Portuguese sausage with plain white rice and eggs. Actually, their menu is large enough to make you full just by reading it. They have a kiosk where you can put your self on the list to get seated. Service is fast as well. My food came in a few minutes with my coffee. I enjoyed their coffee. It's nice and strong but not overly done. Staff is on the serious side but whatever. I prefer that over overall compare to too chatty. Anyway, this place has been around for centuries and very popular on the tourist side of things. Good food overall. I enjoyed it. Food is bland and way overpriced. The server tried to charge us more than she should have.

There's a long wait, but the business is smart to give you a menu while you wait so when you get a table you order right away. The food is good and I have two days left of my trip. I know my husband wi be going two more times for sure. The space is limited on seating. You have the option to do take out as well. Totally worth the wait read more

While searching for brunch spots near the beach, I stumbled upon this café. I ordered an omelette with spinach, mushroom, and zucchini, while my husband went for the waffle with chicken. The waffle was delicious, and the chicken strips were incredibly tasty! Unfortunately, the omelette fell short of expectations, but the crispy and flavorful potatoes on the side made up for it. The view of Waikiki Beach from our table was spectacular, making the entire experience worthwhile. As others have suggested, get in line online as the waitlist can be long during peak hours. This also gives you the chance to stroll along the streets or the beach while you wait. read more

Food was average tasting. Portions were ok. Staff kept literally dragging their shoes on the ground which was annoying. Amazing spot for breakfast & lunch. The restaurant is pretty small so recommend arriving early or joining the waitlist before heading to the restaurant. Service was great, food was tasty. We tried the breakfast burrito, a short stack with a side of bacon. Their pancake mix is nice & fluffy which made for a great pancake. The breakfast burrito was good but could've used more meat & seasoning. None the less, I'd go back for a quick beachfront breakfast. read more

I see so many people going here! I thought the food would be so good! And the pictures online, boy I was ready for some good food! Well, was I surprised. The food was horrible. I got a spam and green onion omelette. The eggs were hard, and the spam looked weird. I asked for a SS blueberry pancake with whipped topping. I didn't get any whipped topping and had to pay extra for it. I ordered out so I wasn't gonna go back to get my topping. My husband got Kalbi and eggs, his eggs looked hard like mine. He also got the pancake with whipped topping and was missing his topping, that we paid extra for... Needless to say, we won't be eating here again. read more
