THE BEST MACADAMIA NUT PANCAKES!!! The coconut syrup was absolutely amazing as well!! The service was timely, friendly, and the environment was relaxed. You have to stop here!! Well worth the 1.5h wait. I even bought macadamia nut pancakes for my plane ride back to CA. Trying to mimic this at home and epically failing. Guess I'll just have to go back to Waikiki if I want more! read more

La'a was our server and he was AWESOME! We have theee kids and he just made their experience the best! Loco moco was SO GOOD!

This place is an institution! The best dish was the French toast. I tried the eggs with rice - it was flavorful!

Really good crepes and açaí bowls. The line was very long but take out is a good alternative. read more

This place had quite the wait time. I would suggest getting on the wait list via Yelp ahead of time but not too early as you need to be present with your party when they call you. The best place we had was the loco moco!! Traditional hawaiian breakfast and absolutely delicious. We ordered the portuguese sauce on the side since we weren't sure if we'd like it (we ended up really liking it) We also ordered the fluffy pancakes, i've never heard fluffier pancakes. The ham was great and they made the best cheddar scrambled eggs as well. Shout out to Aaron for being so friendly read more

We stayed in Waikiki for the week, and we wanted to walk down the strand to look for some breakfast. We saw Eggs n Things and their photos looked good on Yelp. The restaurant was a little small because it is connected to a smaller hotel. When you walk in, you have to add your name to the Yelp waitlist. We got there around 6:30am, and there was already a 20 minute wait. They were very strict on having all your parties be together in order to be seated. They don't have restrooms, so my boyfriend went around the corner to use a bathroom. I had told my host that my boyfriend needed to use the restroom and he is around the corner. They apologized and gave the table to someone else. Right when she sat the party, my boyfriend was here, but she couldn't wait 1 minute for him to literally be at the door. We ended up waiting 5-10 more minutes for a table to be sat. When we were sat, the staff were friendly and offered us extra coconut syrup with our pancakes-so good! My boyfriend got the corned beef hash. If we were to come again, we'd probably want to try something different since they had weekly specials. read more

Eggs 'n Things more like eggs 'n kings! I had the pineapple and honey chicken and waffles and they made me feel like royalty! Food came out so quick that pops thought he had time to go the restroom. Our server was a kind gentleman and was patient with my little sister who stuttered 100 times. So yeah 5/5 Beauski stars on this one. Staying at the hotel a second time I alway saw a huge line and wondered if it was worth the wait...... it's not we waited for an hour to be seated . The server Keith looked as if we were bothering him and had better things to do. The food was not good either , I got the eggs Benedict and the spinach was so tart I couldn't eat it. Someone got the pancakes with strawberry and that was ok. Definitely not worth the wait .... The view was the best part. read more

We visited Eggs 'n Things in Waikiki and tried the loco moco, burger, and onion rings. The burger was pretty good, and the onion rings were decent, but the loco moco was a letdown--bland and definitely not up to the local standard. Overall, the restaurant felt overrated, especially given the long wait times (we waited about 45 minutes to be seated). Our server was great but with so many great food spots across Oʻahu, there are definitely better options to explore. read more

Was the food good? Yes. Was the service good? Meh. Not very friendly or attentive but why would you be when there's a line out the door every day I guess is the mentality, either that or sick of the tourists. Crab cake Benedict was amazing, loco moco was great too. Would likely skip again if the wait was over 20 mins though. read more

Food is Always good and service even better, we visit several times on every trip to Waikiki!

Phenomenal views of the beach and a great spot for people watching. The breakfast was pretty good, I would say 3.5 to 4 stars. The portions were rather large and the service was friendly. I would say they could update the place a little more as you can tell it's a bit dated. Definitely worth a trip for an affordable breakfast, I would try a traditional Hawaiian breakfast and the waffles that were really good. Next time I'm in Waikiki, I'll try the pancakes. read more

Decided on this spot for breakfast and quickly realized they had a wait time online so we checked in through Yelp to put ourselves on the waitlist. We got a text that they were a bit more busy than usual so we ended up waiting for over 45 min after we checked in (don't go expecting to be seated right away). They also had a device outside where you could check yourself in the wait. It's very small inside so it made sense the wait but this was the quickest service EVER. Shortly after placing our orders we got the food and once our server saw we were done with our meals, she brought our tab so don't expect to just chill here. It's a very quick in & out. I was happy we got the table by the window because the view was pretty but i realized there were some spots where its a thin table and you're just facing a wall so kinda makes you feel like you're on time out or something lol. My meal was good as I got the rainbow pancakes with Portuguese sausage on the side. My partner on the other hand was left disappointed when the chicken and waffles came by. We definitely expected a bigger serving, maybe thicker or bigger chicken. Definitely not just 2 small tenders thrown on there. Overall, it was an ok experience here. The food was average so nothing to rave about read more

Kent was absolutely amazing. Very personable with great smile and conversation. Before my meal came, he moved me to a table with a nicer view of the beach and better lighting so I can read. The food was delicious. I will absolutely be back when I pass return to Honolulu. This location does close at 1pm, although Google maps says 2pm, so plan according. This is a popular location with a full and lively crowd. Great experience. read more

Great breakfast spot. I got the plantation pork chop and eggs. The portion size was satisfying, but there was something about the sauce that I was not crazy about not only the taste but for some reason it got on everything and was a sticky mess. Maybe that's a me thing. Anyway the staff was nice and service was very fast and friendly. Two suggestions a/c or better fans and some kind of seating for all the people waiting outside. read more

Great food, quite a long wait to get in (approx 1hr15) but was worth it. The queue is an online queue (join on tablet at entrance) where you can then see your place and go off and explore the beach or shops etc whilst you wait. They then text you when your table is nearly ready. Good service and nice ocean view whilst eating. Hoping to visit again during our stay in Waikiki read more

Popular breakfast spot in Waikiki, wait times often run over an hour. Solo diners seated much more quickly at counter seating, if you don't mind staring at a wall. Food was a mixed bag: - Benedict florentine - eggs were jammy at best, I'm typically looking for a runny yolk on a Benedict. Large portions and ingredients seemed fresh but everything could have used more seasoning - Short stack- clearly pancakes are the way to go here- these were awesome- light, fluffy, touch of sweetness. Wanted to keep eating even after I was stuffed. Overall food was a 3.5 but rounding up because service was fantastic- super friendly and attentive with the coffee refills. Small spot, seems locally owned. Also prices aren't bad for the area and view of the beach across the street is nice as well. read more

Terrible service, brought food out cold, food was just okay, would not come back. Manager onsite did not try to improve anything. Still tried to bill for the meal when everything was not brought out for the second time. Not worth the wait. Go to another restaurant. read more

Eggs 'n Things stands out among the other breakfast spots on Kalakaua Ave for its prices - unlike most of the other swanky restaurants on the strip, this place actually has budget-friendly prices for a sit-down restaurant. We used Yelp check-in to reserve a spot in line, which I highly recommend. The wait for walk-ups was over an hour. At least using Yelp check-in we could still walk around and shop while checking our place in line periodically on our phones. Once our name was called we were seated quickly and service was very prompt. You can tell their MO is customer turnover. Not a bad thing - in and out. Food: good. My partner got the French Toast and I got the Kalua Benedict. My partner was a big fan of his French Toast. I liked my Kalua Benedict, but the taro bun base didn't do it for me. They were too soggy for my taste. But others may disagree. All-in-all, solid experience and would return. read more

1/10/23 It would be wise to utilize their waitlist function on Yelp because they are busyyy especially in the morning/brunch hours. We got on the waitlist before leaving our hotel and it was only a 5 minute walk. When we got there, the restaurant was already full and there was a bunch of people waiting outside too. After checking in with the host, he said it would be a 5 minute wait. We browsed the menu until a table was ready for us. Bryson was a server and very friendly. Here's what we got: 1. Fresh 1/2 papaya (to share) 2. Omelet - bacon, mushroom and pepperjack cheese (his) 3. Island style fried rice and eggs (mine) All of the food came out in 10 minutes. I enjoyed my dish, but Zach thought his omelet was pretty basic. I like that the rice wasn't too greasy and the eggs were perfectly cooked sunnyside up. The potatoes are bite-sized and cute. The papaya was sweet and a delicious treat to finish our meal with. Eggsnthings is a great spot to drop by for breakfast or brunch. Looking forward to my next visit here when I'm in the area. read more
